Doctor Barry Jaffin graduated from the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in 1981. He completed his training in Internal Medicine in 1984 and GI fellowship in 1986. Dr. Jaffin is intimately involved in teaching Gastroenterology at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine since 1986. His main interests involve motility disorders of the esophagus, stomach, and colon. Dr. Jaffin is now able to perform HRM (High Resolution Manometry with Impedance) for esophageal manometry in addition to 24hr pH-​MII (impedance) testing, ano-​rectal manometry and PNTML assesments in his office.

Horrible doctor. Not patient or courteous at all. Horrible front desk personnel. The only reason I used this facility was due to a motility pH test done that apparently few doctors do. There are few other places that do this test in NYC … Stick out the wait times at those facilities and do the test elsewhere …

When I saw Dr. Jaffin last year my experience was fine, however when my husband went to him for the very first time recently, my opinion has drastically changed. My husband was having stomach troubles and has a family history of digestive diseases. Instead of addressing the issues that brought him there, he told him to go have stomach surgery to lose weight! He left the office with no orders for blood work and was told to eat protein and it would help his stomach. Really? This is a medical professional? I feel that he was completely blown off because this doctor apparently doesn’t take the symptoms of overweight people seriously.
