Astor Parking

I never think about reviewing a parking garage but the service was so bad, I had to. The people are rude when you check in your car and want you to do their job for them. I park in NYC a couple of times a week and this was by far the worst. Do not reward bad behavior with your business or a tip. Many choices in the area and this should not be one of them.

PLEASE DO NOT PARK AT ASTOR PARKING LLC in Manhattan across from the Marriott Marquee.
It has been the most unethical service provider that blatantly bullies women. The harassment that I exoerienced from Luis was uncalled for. Sadly enough I was tipping him with a $ 5 bill, and the insults that I received were unbelievable. He called me «senile woman», where did you put your ticket? I did not respond as I did not want him to scratch the car. And by the way, I had secured the ticket in my wallet. Once again, the comment was uncalled for. I just wanted to park and protect a rental car, as well as enjoy the stunning views of NY. I paid $ 42 per night at this place. I should have paid $ 60 at the Marriott and would have been treated with dignity and respect.

The valet honked the horn, almost clipped another vehicle, and screeched to a halt in front of me… I can’t recommend this spot if you value your vehicle.

This is not a place i would recommend for parking. The place is not well run and you willexperience long waits for paying and getting your car back when you come here. There is other parking nearby which is much better (see other places with Unilocal ratings such as 225 W 49^th Street). I used this place once and it was not a good decision.

Don’t park here. There’s a 45 minute line to pay while 5 valets wait to get keys. Totally unorganized. Not only that, one valet will take bribes to cut you in front of the crowd. CRAZY. This is what they mean by corruption in NYC. (This is my review from when I was there in May 2012.)

The good thing about this place is that it’s close to all the theatres. That’s it! Once the play is over and you go to retrieve your vehicle the nightmare begins. Their was only one cashier and about 1 million people waiting on the line to pay the ONE cashier in order to get their vehicles. Once I paid the cashier I waited approx. 20 min for the attendant to get my car. Once I finally got my car the attendant had the audacity to hold his hand out for a tip. I gave him a tip alright, I told him to practice safe sex and kept it moving-​LMAO

I wouldn’t recommend this place. We parked here and they have the ½ hour and hourly rates posted. We got back at 45 minutes from when we parked but we had to wait about twenty minutes on a line to get our ticket punched by the cashier. We were paying for extra time for waiting in their facility!!! There was a long line in front of us and this one cashier who was taking people’s receipts. I spoke to the manager and he said it was out of his control. I’m saying have somebody validate your ticket so your not paying for an extra twenty minutes that your forced to wait because this place is under staffed. Time square is expensive enough without being cheated on parking fees.

THEY ARE ILLEGALLY OPERATING A BUSINESS WITHOUT INSURANCE!!!
I had a brand new car for 3 weeks, washed it the day before.
THEY DAMAGED the car… It was not busy at all and the traffic in and out of the garage was light!
I went to a friends birthday party at Carmine’s on Thursday night.
Picked up my car and always inspect the exterior and interior, noticed the rear wheel curb rashed, and my tire flat!!!

Managers are not there and the «assistant manager» are no help and don’t know if they have INSURANCE!
This is blatantly negligence by the management.
IF you have a nice car please SELF PARK, do not trust this Parking Garage to handle your car. They will deny they didn’t do it and say they don’t have video cameras on premise.
Nightmare, $ 1800 worth of damages and no one there will own up to it.
Might have to take them to court.
You were warned about this place, park if you want to take a chance.

It was a great decision to park here. It is right off of Broadway near the shows and the Marriott. It is an underground type garage, decent parking cost, and pretty quick and helpful service.
We ended up doing a lot of shopping and had our hands full of bags with many more hours of things left to do. We returned to the garage and they drove me down to our vehicle at the bottom floor so I could lighten my load (that’s what she said). They were more than accommodating even though I felt it would have been a bit of a hassle for them.
Despite being at the lowest level there was no real wait and again the cost was affordable. The location was ideal if you plan on lounging around the square for several hours.
