Advanced Derma Laser

The place was kinda hard to find for me. Again this is just me. First time visited here I came here from a recommendation from a friend. So I didn’t need a explanation for their services. The place looks clean. If you go there on time your not kept waiting for long. Great, organized and friendly staff. You can tell exact what you expect of the service and if your not completely satisfied with the service. They will take care of it.

I really love Advanced Derma Laser, I have a really crazy schedule so I have to schedule my appointments fairly last minute. They always get me in within the next day or so! The last place I was getting Laser hair removal was Ideal Image and they where terrible. I have a package that I spent $ 6,000 on and they NEVER get me in… I have to schedule months in advance and it’s impossible because my schedule changes so quickly. Advanced Derma Laser is my go-​to while I’m in NYC. The pricing is much better and super nice staff… I will defiantly continue treatments with them!

I came to this place beacuse of an amazing loving social deal for 6 small areas to laser for 99 dollars.
From the first appointment to the last the whole staff was extremely professional. They never pressured me to buy more packages or made me feel inferior because I had a living social voucher. There is no pressure to tip the techs either.
The technicians explained fully the procedures and made sure that the machines were callibrated to my skin type. I never had to wait very long and they were always quick and minimal pain from the lasers. I was able to go about my day without any thought of the procedure.
Totally trustworthy. Great Price. My pits will never be hairy again. No more in grown hairs. No more extra costs of buying razors or shaving again in my life –crazy!

After doing much research on hair removal, I decided to try my luck at Advanced Derma Laser (mainly because of their enticing packages that they offer). The receptionist is rude and makes you feel like you’re just another person to her. My overall experience with the actual hair removal process was good; my technician made me feel at ease for the most part. I had a brazilian and full buttocks done; She did leave many missed patches, however touch-​ups are free. The parts that she actually did get turned out great and have me excited for what the end result will finally be (I purchased 7 treatments). They seem to be clean but it is a bit awkward that they have a doctor doing dermatology (who is not affiliated with Advanced Derma Laser) in the office right there basically. Definitely a small office but that’s to be expected in NYC (although with the money they bring in I’m sure they could afford more). Again the receptionist is horrible and ignorant! Hope this helps!

I have been going to Advanced Derma Laser for over a year now. The first 2 sessions I had one lady and then without telling me switched me to another lady (which ultimately I ended up liking so much better!). I would probably not still be there if it wasn’t for the simple fact that I still have sessions there. I’m sure there are better, more professional places around. The front desk staff is still rude and ignorant… hopefully they’ll fix that one of these days. And they are not very private with your information!

This place is not organized or structured went here on a friends recommendation, the results are good but I’m sure you can get the same results at any reputable laser facility. The biggest problem I have is having to wait 30−45min for my appointment, I have never been seen on time. I don’t recommend this place the pricing is very expensive and the employees lack professionalism.
try The Skin Spa instead, they have great prices and you are seen at the exact time of your appt or within 5 min…

I bought a package for laser hair removal. The treatment is going fine. But the staff here are totally disorganized and unprofessional. They come across as rude. It’s such a turn off, especially when you’re paying good money for their services. Get your act together people!

I tried the Viora Reaction treatments. They were consistently late for the appointments and the application was not consistent. They are nice people but from a business and customer perspective, it was not worth my time or effort or money. I would not recommend this place. They just are not very professional in their business and services.

I hesitated to rate them three stars because they do have certain pros. Here’s what I found after my first experience (and I have been to another Laser center):

Cons:
So, I was appointed Gala for my underarm laser treatment. I found her to be insensitive and a bit abrasive. She seemed to dismiss whatever questions I had and was in a definite rush. It was very business like, whereas an experience such as this should leave you feeling comfortable. She didn’t give me any advice or suggestions for after-​care. Other places I have gone to speak to you about the procedure beforehand and give you appropriate and helpful suggestions for taking care of the treated area. I’m hoping my second experience is NOT with her and maybe someone else who can smile and not make you feel silly or quirky for asking laser-​relevant questions.
Oh, and I had to wait about twenty minutes before being called for my appointment.

I’ve been going to advanced derma laser for a year now. Their prices are really reasonable when you compare them to other laser places and appointments are really easy to get (though for weekends I suggest booking far in advance). The place is spotless and the staff is really professional. The laser machine that they used on me (they have two different types) hurts less than other machines I’ve tried although this one is pretty painful in some areas too. Taking two advils before helps somewhat. I have tried three different technicians and all are good. You can ask for the same one for every time if you want though. As for the packages — they sell a package of 6 at a reasonable price and then after that they offer you a special maintenance price.

First off, this place is appropriately elegant for its midtown digs. The overall look and feel of the waiting room is calming and helps you relax before they call you into one of the laser rooms.
The service was excellent and professional, and the equipment appeared both new and kept very clean. Not too much to say other than I don’t have hair there anymore!
Oh, and it doesn’t hurt that the technicians are really cute too…

I’ve been going to Advanced Derma laser for laser hair removal for a few years now. Their waiting room and facilities are very clean, the staff is super nice and know me by name. You can call in and get an appointment right away, and they don’t keep you waiting when you get there. I have been happy with the results from the laser, though I still am going back a few times a year-​, but paying $ 75 to not have to think about lip and chin hair for4– 5 months is worth it IMO. I have light skin with dark hair, and have had no problems, discoloration, etc. Less painful overall then waxing or electrolysis. I’d highly recommend them!
