A Simple Cake

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you! That’s what I want to say to Lauren and Gail for making an absolutely gorgeous, non-​budget breaking, and utterly delicious cake for my wedding.
I was at my wits end until I found them. The cakes are beautiful, and not only is their so much choice for a smaller budget, but their kindness, professionalism, talent, communication and experience helped make what could have been a painful experience, so painless and easy.
The cake was delivered on time — punctuality is my thing! — it was perfectly on spec and was a real highlight of the day. So much so, I barely had any — my guests gobbled it up! A perfect review in itself!

I am a Wedding Planner with Storybook Weddings and Events, and I had a client who ordered their wedding cake from Lauren for their wedding back in June. The term «simple» can be used to describe the cake, but «simple» is not to be used in a boring way, but in an elegant and classic way :) Lauren was even willing to do a very last-​minute change to the cake when an idea came to the couple literally a couple of weeks before the wedding. (We ended up not making the change, but I really appreciated her being open to the idea, and for helping out). Pictures can be seen at:

After weeks of searching for a wedding cake, we could not have been more happy with Lauren and her company «A Simple Cake.» From the moment we walked in, we welcome and at home. She was exceptionally accommodating when it came to meeting with us and the samples were incredible.
On our wedding day, the cake exceeded our expectations both in terms of looks and taste. We received many complements on both and could have been more happy.
Tonight we enjoyed our cake for our 1 year anniversary. The cake brought back so many incredible memories of our wedding night. We definitely recommend «A Simple Cake» to any couple looking for both a classy and unique design coupled with a delicious cake. Thank you Lauren for making our wedding day so special.

I can not begin to tell you how awesome Lauren at A Simple Cake is but I will try. She is very detail oriented, professional, punctual, knowledgeable, and friendly. She genuinely loves her job. She not only made our cake beautiful and delicious, she was like a best friend helping us with detail in our wedding. I can not tell you how important that is to have in a vendor. She goes above her job description. Now onto the cake. We had a lemon cake with fresh berries and cream inside. Our guests loved it. She also did a surprise grooms cake of dark chocolate and chocolate cream. Delicious! They keep the top tier of the cake which is perfect for freezing. Thank you so much again Lauren!

We worked with Lauren at A Simple Cake, for our wedding cake and what a pleasure it was!
Lauren herself is lovely, talented and extremely professional. Nothing was a problem working with her. Emails and phone calls promptly responded to, tasting a breeze, and day-​of delivery a non-​issue!
We had a three-​tier buttercream, golden yellow cake with tri-​berry filling and it was delicious. They have their own buttercream recipe and it definitely tastes that way without the weird grainy, sugary or oily feeling that you get from so many weddings cakes.
We didn’t want to spend a small fortune on the cake, but obviously wanted something delicious and pretty and A Simple Cake fit the bill perfectly. They had such wonderful designs to choose from and we settled on the Ruffles, which is one of their new designs and so divine! There are a few pictures of it on our wedding photographers blog here
I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to any of my friends not only for a wedding but for any special occasion!

A-​M-​A-​Z-​I-​N-​G!!! Lauren was a dream to work with, incredibly easy to get in touch with and extremely focused on making us happy. The cake was PERFECT in every way. We did a custom design of the rosette cake, with ombré pinks. Dark chocolate cake and hazelnut praline chocolate mousse filling/​buttercream frosting. Seriously the best cake I’ve ever had in my life. Many of our wedding guests made a point to tell us the same thing. We have a ton of cake left because our servers were a little skimpy with servings, and I’ve defrosted a piece to eat each week. Just as fresh as our wedding day, and its been almost 3 weeks. I’d give them 10 stars instead of 5. 100% recommend.

A Simple Cake was a gem to work with and I was very satisfied with the end result. If you understand how cake shops work, especially for weddings, you will know that this company makes it as easy (and affordable) as it gets. Will be referring everyone who puts a ring on it.
