A small little bakery, but with many delicious looking options. The pastries themselves were large and fresh-appearing. Service was fast! My friend decided to get the Tres Leches cake. He is a very seasoned TL cake eater, and agreed that it was one of the best he’s had in New York. The cream is light on top, the cake is pretty dense and didn’t get overly spongy even after 1 hour in the plastic container. The condensed milk at the bottom was amazing, even drinkable if you wanted to get a little sugar high after your cake.

Small, clean bakery that sells a variety of breads, cakes, and savory baked/fried pasteries. Inexpensive, too.

(English below) Me encanto la comida que hacen en las mañanas. Y los panes y postres son excelentes. Tendrán 5 estrellas, como su nombre, si me hubieron entregado la comida más rápidamente, estuve esperando unos 15 minutos para huevos y pan. This place has excellent breads, coffees and prices! Perfect spot to swing by and grab breakfast as long as you don’t mind a bit of Dominican flavor and people speaking Spanish around you.

I literally live across the street from this place, and that is dangerous for me because I want to eat here all the time. Get the guava with cheese. You won’t regret it.

I love this little bakery! Café con leche for a dollar? Yes please. Also, their bread pudding is fantastic.

The pizza is pretty good, unless you want anything more than a plain slice or pepperoni(they do not have much else on hand), the Dominican/Spanish pastries are also decent. Staff are friendly and prices are really cheap. It used to be a hangout for the drug dealers that«worked» up the block, but it seems this has not been as big of a problem the past year or so.(It was not their fault) Hot sandwiches are also pretty good and so is their coffee and oatmeal(done Dominican style)!

The service at this place makes it my favorite place to get breakfast on my way to work. The food is tasty, cheap and warm, and the people make me happy.

Being too much isn’t always a good thing. Sometimes its good to narrow down your scope. 5 Estrallas and that’s cinco, not five, comes out that way. I passed there on a Saturday night when my lil one wanted some pizza after a walk. The place isn’t much to look at. Simple, fairly efficient. Standard breakfast place, few tables in front of the food display/counter, clean and pleasant. They seem to serve all sorts of sandwiches and bake as well. But we were there for the pizza. We ordered some slices, for which we had to wait a bit since they were baking a brand new pie. It was good to get fresh pizza. It was good by all means, but nothing to write home about. I would eat there again if in need of a pizza fix and I’m lazy not to go far. The thing i liked most of the place was the way people interacted. This being your neighborhood bakery, most of the patrons that came in were regulars and chatted in a very candid and friendly way with the attendants. I haven’t seen that in many places lately and it was a welcome sight and helped boost the mood. There was some heart in what they were doing, and that counts.
