History

Established in 1978.

PJ’s Coffee of New Orleans was founded in 1978 by Phyllis Jordan, a pioneer in the coffee industry that demonstrated that better beans, superior roasting techniques, and pure passion for the art of coffee-​making mattered. PJ’s Coffee serves a wide variety of hot, iced and frozen coffee beverages using only the top 1% of Arabica beans, as well as organic tea and fresh breakfast pastries.

Visiting New Orleans with all the hype about Café Du Monde and went into PJ’s because the line at Du Monde was too long. PJ’s had very friendly staff, and wonderful coffee. We had breakfast with their bacon and egg croissant and the white chocolate coffe. We ended up coming back at night and tried the King Cake coffee which was great as well

You can never have too many PJs in the French Quarter! This new location is very convenient, situated right across from JAX brewery and just a couple blocks from Jackson Square. This is one of the few places in the quarter that’s open early to grab a quick cup of coffee and breakfast before heading out for the day. And it’s open until 9PM for the night owls!
What makes this PJs especially unique is that they sell Sergio’s Breakfast Burritos! Delicious, quick and affordable breakfast (or lunch, or dinner!). Definitely recommend trying those burritos.
The store is clean and organized. Pastry case is always stuffed with beautiful muffins, croissants and other goodies. Clean bathroom available to customers. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful to all guests.
I highly recommend checking out this PJs location while in the quarter! Excellent place to grab a quick breakfast and coffee or sit down, relax and people watch.

I was very disappointed in the lack of customer service at this location. I am from New Orleans but I currently live in Los Angeles. I frequently travel home and I was home on a mini break from work when I visited this location. I am a long time lover of PJ’s. This was probable accredited to me graduating college. (This is how often I drank PJ’s). It was Allstate Sugar bowl fan fest when I wanted to go to the bathroom and get a coffee. I purchased the coffee and when I asked for the code for the bathroom, the waitress (a red head) told me that it would be $ 10 to use the bathroom. I was outrage. Thats unbelievable to me that I would have to spend $ 10 to use the restroom at a facility that I just patronized. There was also no sign stating that policy (if this could legally be one).
Disappointed fan of PJ’s :(

It’s a pjs. I worked at pjs a few times and feel it’s up to date with other pjs. I do like it. I walked here from my house in the marigny. I like the people watching… BUT I’m about to cut my time short. It’s way too cold (coming from the ac) This is the second time I’ve been here. Last time I had to put on my heavy duty coat on.

Yay for PJ’s! I could eat their spinach & feta croissants every day for the rest of my life. This new location is sparkling clean and provides a super scenic view of Decatur. As always, the service was awesome and the products top notch!
