History
Established in 1997.
Walter Rose’s father taught him how to weave rag rugs when he was seven years old. 50 years later, Walter taught Ronda. They began weaving rag rugs in their ground floor apartment in the French Quarter and people would see them and want to buy the rugs. That’s how the idea for Louisiana Loom Works was born. Now they have several looms and the occasional part-time weaver helping meet demand.

Ronda and Walter both grew up in Missouri. They fell in love with new Orleans and moved there in 1989. They have 10 cats.
