My first night in New Orleans, and both my husband and I are figuratively and literally intoxicated from the city. It was love at first sight, and after drinking Hurricanes at Pat O’Briens(we’re tourists — we just had to!) and loudly singing along at the piano bar, we stumbled into Hillery’s for dinner. We were new, so like fools, we steer clear from the Creole/Cajun selections(a mistake we’d fix later on in our trip) but the food I ordered, the grilled chicken with sweet potato purée and green beans, was one of the best meals I’ve ever had, and granted I may not have been in the best shape to judge, but two years later, I still salivate over that dinner. I’ll be back — oh, I’ll be back!
