We offer a full range of hair, skin, nails and spa treatments from our master level stylists trained in the most state-​of-​the-​art techniques and trends. The airy, modern loft space on New Orleans’ famous Magazine Street exemplifies the style of the modern South and is filled with natural light and unique works by local artists.

At Embodyment, our Hair Styling Professionals provide their extensive expertise to achieve beautiful results. Styling services range from cuts for men, women, and children to hair extensions, color, and updos for any occasion. Prices are set by each stylist and are determined by the service. Consultations are available.

Facials, Microdermabrasion with LED Light Therapy, and Chemical Peels are just a few of the services that our Licensed Estheticians can utilize to address skin care concerns, including, but not limited to, anti-​aging treatments, hyperpigmentation, and decreasing blemishes &acne. Body treatments, sunless tanning, makeup application and waxing are all available as well.

Nail services include our Naturopathica Mineral Manicures and Pedicures as well as our Signature Nails Services utilizing Essie or Smith & Cult Polishes.

Spa packages available.

We also offer Swedish Massage, Deep Tissue/​Sports Massage, Pre-​Natal massage, Hot Stone Massage, Thai Yoga Massage, and Reflexology. Massages are either 30, 60 or 90 minutes with discounts applied when purchased in a series of three or more.

Embodyment Salon & Spa opened on November 8th 2011 with a vision to bring the highest quality salon and spa services to New Orleans in a sleek and creative environment.

Business Owner

Emma has devoted her professional life to achieving excellence, as a successful business woman, company owner and hair designer. She has drawn on her years of experience and her creative vision to open Embodyment a holistic beauty spa.

Her vision was to make a complete beauty experience. With her combined skills as an artist and business women she has made Embodyment what it is today, a thriving successful business. Emma’s career is a biography of a natural born creative hairstylist, starting from her early years in a number of top salons in her home town of New Orleans. She continues to grow and nurture her talented staff and provide inspiration to all of her team members. Embodyment represents a family where staff and clients alike are welcomed into a beautiful space and environment.

It is Emma’s vision and philosophy that have made Embodyment such a special, tranquil, motivated and happy place.

I received a massage from Victoria and a pedicure from Kyrstin. Victoria’s massage was amazing! I felt intoxicated afterwards because I was so relaxed. Kyrstin did a wonderful job on the pedicure. I have rough feet from playing soccer, but she made them silky smooth! I would be back every month if I lived here.

I arrived early to Nola and could not get into hotel. So i decided to treat myself to a massage. I read some reviews and decided on Embodyment.
When the taci dropped me off, i was early and Alton treated me like family. The place is clean, neat and the design was modern and sleek. I left my luggage and walked down magazine street strolling the shops. Wonderful weather. When i returned i had a hot stone massage with a little bit of deep tissue work. She did a wonderful job. She continiously asked me about comfort and adjustments. She was friendly.
I then got a haircut with Dee and she did a great job. She listened to what i wanted and i was very happy with how my hair turned out.
I highly recommend this place. They treat you well and use quality products. I would come back again next time in Nola.

I desperately needed to de-​stress while in town for work, and someone at one of the boutiques on Magazine Street suggested Embodyment. I gave them a call and they were able to squeeze me in for a Swedish massage just a few hours later. The place was impeccably clean and very welcoming, and the service was so good. Brittany is a skilled and friendly massage therapist, and I felt so much better afterwards. I wish I lived nearby so I cold go here more often!

i had a brow wax, manicure, and pedicure here. the brow wax was a little rushed for time and, unfortunately, i had to do quite a bit of tweezing myself later. the manicurist was wonderfully patient when one of the colors in my gel manicure wasn’t setting quite right. and the best for last: the pedicure. by far the best i’ve had. it did not so much as chip, even a tiny bit, for well over a month! if you want a pedicure that will last through beach days, festivals, and hours of walking around in sandals, this is it.

Today I was lucky enough to get a last minute appointment with Stephanie after finding Embodyment on Unilocal and I was beyond impressed. I showed her a picture of the color I wanted my hair and she matched it exactly. Staff was kind and courteous and salon was clean and chic. Stephanie took her time and did a thorough job. I’ll definitely be going back!

Went to Embodyment for the first time to get a Sensitive Facial. My aesthetician was Michelle. I’ve had a facial 2 other times in my life from another place, but Michelle knocked this one out of the park. She was very inviting and extremely knowledgeable. I learned sooo many tidbits of information about my skin from her. She also, slowly and in detail, went over what my specific daily routine should be, morning and night. She oozed love for her job. Her techniques were great and she did not rush. I felt comfortable the entire time. As far as the salon, being that it’s on Magazine, it was a plus that they havd a mini 3-​spot parking «lot» in front of the building (off of the street). I was lucky to snag one of those at 4:45 in the afternoon. The inside is bright from natural sunlight, tall ceilings, and very open. Everyone i encountered was super nice and seemed to be enjoying the fact that they worked there. I purchased a few products from them which were not ridiculously priced… SUPER WIN. Can’t wait to go back and see Michelle!

It is so hard to find somebody who knows what they’re doing with blonde hair. Thank goodness I found Jenna here! She is amazing at what she does. She really takes the time to discuss what you want and her process. I am so indecisive and always take in pictures and she always gives me her honest opinion and helps me choose what I want. I HIGHLY recommend Jenna if you’re a blonde!

I moved back to New Orleans from Miami Beach over three years ago & one of the hardest things about the transition was finding a new hair stylist. I tried several highly recommended salons in New Orleans and just could not find THAT person/​place… until I visited Embodyment. I was referred to Embodyment by a friend who uses Jenna (phenomenal colorist specialist) but I actually made an appointment with Amy Leblanc & have been happy ever since.
I love the color products used here– I have naturally dark brown hair and Amy did a gorgeous ombré for me. The colors she used really achieved the «ashy» blonde color I so love. Amy’s attention to detail on my hair is apparent (to everyone!). Her cuts are perfection– I keep my hair very long & she always gives it a light, fresh cut while maintaining the length. I have never received so many compliments on my hair. even after a trim.
Apart from Amy, the salon & SPA is fabulous… a large open space uptown with floor to ceiling windows over looking charming Magazine Street– it’s a very zen, relaxing place & everyone there is super nice. I love their products (i.e. Oribe haircare). I hear all the services in the spa are fantastic as well. And I have seen the results of Maritza’s extensions– she has to do the best extensions in town.
I highly recommend trying this salon if you have high hair expectations and looking to find the right place.

I have lived in New Orleans my whole life and tried a fair number of salons but this is by far the best! I am very particular about my hair color and after a few bad dye jobs at another salon I found Jenna. She is a total lifesaver and took plenty of time listening to my wants/​concerns before deciding what to do. While some stylists only take a second to get a brief description, Jenna went through pictures again and again to make sure we were on the same page. The results were exactly what I had hoped for!

I spent half day here when I was at NOLA for a conference. Massage, Facial, Nail, Hair, all done in one place! It was so convenient and time-​saving. I called in earlier that day and the owner (I think she is) tried her best to schedule all services based on my schedule. It worked out very well and helped me to kill my time happily! Among all the services, my favorite is the massage (the therapist talked a lot with me and I really enjoyed our conversation). My least favorite is the nail. I miss this place a lot after I came back to Houston and I always want to go back and enjoy it again!

A little pricey, but totally worth it! Ask for Ashley!
First time I came to Embodyment, my hair was totally unmanageable. Ever since I’d tried Wen, it was like my hair was dry and tangled no matter which (or how much) product I put in. After months of frustration, I was ready to cut it all off. Ashley and Emma convinced me to try a treatment (Malibu) and literally saved my long hair. I’m now going on two years as a customer here; Ashley is my stylist but I’ve also had an updo courtesy of Amy and a cut by Danielle. All the girls are fantastic and make a great team. Can’t praise this salon enough.

My friend and I wanted to get the spa treatment while in New Orleans for New Years. After looking into some Spa’s in the area we settled on Embodyment Salon and Spa. So glad we did!!! It was amazing!!! When we arrived we were greeted with friendly faces that offered us refreshments. I got a pedicure with Rachel. She took her time to make sure I was relaxed. Unlike other place she was able to give me a pedicure without hurting my feet. It was an amazing pedicure. It has been a few weeks and it still looks great. My friend got a gel manicure with Emily. It looked amazing! My friend said it was one of the best manicures!
Next I needed to get my roots touched up. I am a light blonde and my roots were very noticeable. I was scheduled with Danielle. She did such a great job. She lightened my roots without over developing it and may hair is so shiny and looks so healthy!!!
Because of the long plane ride my back was hurting. I decided to get a massage while I was there. Brittany was so nice. She made me feel comfortable and really targeted the problem areas. I have had massages in the past but Brittany seemed to very knowledge and experienced. She made my experience wonderful. After I was done with my massage I even over heard two people in the lobby talking about how great she was!
The space and atmosphere inside the salon was great and overall everyone I came in contact with provided wonderful customer service! I will be recommending Embodyment to all my friends that travel to the area. Especially Rachel and Brittany who made my trip so much better! Thanks Embodyment!!! I really wanted to have a relaxing vacation and they truly gave me the spa treatment.

I came in today during a brief visit to NOLA. Have been having some acute on chronic right shoulder pain and desperately needed some body work. Had a magical deep tissue massage by Brittany! She helped my pain so much, and she was extremely knowledgable (and I am an osteopathic physician saying that). I would definitely recommend her!
The customer service was also great. The space is beautiful! About 5 minutes into my massage, someone started hammering. Apparently, people had just moved in upstairs. The therapist politely excused herself, the hammering stopped, and she started over my time from that point on. Very nice. I got an extra five minutes!
