Dial One Broussard Appliance Service

More than willing to collect your money but can’t follow up with customers. Sent out a tech who proudly told me he doesn’t «fix» units he just gives them his opinion which then apparently costs me 100 bucks. Why send me someone who can’t even repair the unit? So now I need to pay on top of the initial visit to get a repair and it took a week to get «opinion guy» out and now another week to get a tech to actually fix it? I wouldn’t call this company unless you have a lot of time to chase them and do their job for them. I might as well have lit a hundred bucks on fire.

I would definitely recommend this business to anyone in their servicing area. A fellow Unilocaler recommended me to this business — Thanks Mike Carmouche! I was able to get a repairman to my house the next day to fix my washing machine that wasn’t spinning. The lady who made the reservation over the phone gave me the window of 10 – 2 for an appointment and the repairman called me about 9:30 to let me know he was on the way. I was very impressed and happy that he gathered all the info he could about the machine before he got here so that he had any necessary parts when he arrived. Sure enough, he had the exact part in his truck that was needed to fix the problem. Last, but certainly not least, I really appreciated how professional the gentleman was in conduct and appearance. He was very courteous and was dressed very professionally with khakis and a nice pullover jacket top — MUCH better than some repair people who have shown up from other businesses over the years. I put their magnet on the fridge because they will certainly be my first call in the future when I have other issues.

I am not usually moved to write a review, but due to the fact I couldn’t be more pleased with the service of Dial One Broussard, I thought I would share my experience.
This is the second time I have used this company and both times I was pleased with not only the quick response, but also with the professionalism and fair price for the repair work done.
The first time I had them out was about a year and a half ago with my Kenmore front load washer. The repair man came out that day and was polite, professional, and worked quickly to repair my problem.
Thursday (6÷12÷14) was the second time I have used this company. This time, it was my dryer that was out. Again, same day service!!! I thought it would be a major issue and was happily surprised when «Alfred» fixed my issue quickly and inexpensively!
Both times, I was impressed by the prompt response, immediate service, professionalism, and fair prices I found with this company!
Hopefully I won’t need a repairman, but I would definitely call them again if I do!

This company has won our allegiance for the future. Will attempt to keep this review short. Major unbelievable problem with Electrolux about a warranty on our new dishwasher in our new home. Back and forth and told opposite positions by Electrolux.
Finally and in desperation we authorized Dial One Broussard Appliance Service to order the part and to do the work. We had called them after first reporting our broken new dishwasher to Electrolux.
The dishwasher broke down just before Thanksgiving and we definitely wanted it repaired for Christmas. Dinner for eleven and hand washing is no fun.
Well the personnel at Dial One got on the stick. Not only did they provide professional and caring service they know their business and show up on time.
Over and above doing what they get paid to do in a first class way is the follow up on a customer’s particular problem with a manufacturer.
Kudos to both Germain and Martin who are the repair guys from up above. And a super Kudos to Arian (hope I have the spelling correct) who not only did all she could on the numerous phone calls back and forth but worked out a miracle for us. She somehow showed Electrolux there was a warranty, debited my credit card for the payment and returned my phone calls.

Rewind two days ago and I’m doing laundry (with a bad back to boot). Anyway, I open the sliding doors to the small washroom and immediately notice a small puddle of water and suds on the floor. This is not what I wanted to see, especially since my laundry room is inside and I have hardwood floors).
The washer had already finished its cycle so I cleaned up the water and noticed that the washer was still dripping ever so slowly. I immediately turned off the water supply (hot & cold), hopped on my computer and searched Unilocaled for appliance repair reviews.
I was a little discouraged that most reviews were well below average. However, Dial One Broussard Appliance Service had 5 reviews, and all of them were good except for one; which really was not a complaint about the service, but rather the service charge.
Anyway, I place my call on Wednesday at 1:30 PM, and was told that they could have someone at my house between 8:00 AM — 1:00 PM on Thursday. I normally don’t like huge windows of time spent waiting for technicians, but I was at home with a bad back and had nothing better to do than just lay there.
The technician, Jermaine, was a very nice guy and called prior to his arrival just as they stated he would. He was very professional, but down to earth and enjoyed engaging me in friendly conversation as he asked me questions about my washer and began to troubleshoot it. Unfortunately, he was unable to duplicate the water leak issue I had. However, it was through no lack of effort on his part. After removing the front panel to observe the working innards, he:
1. filled up the tub on low and ran a rinse cycle
2. filled up the tub on high and ran another spin cycle
3. Ran a was cycle on low level
4. Ran a heavy duty wash cycle on high water level
5. Ran a cycle with actual clothes
Not a drop of water anywhere.
However, he did suggest that I try to use less detergent, as I use approximately 50−60% more than I should; and this over-​suds condition could lead to a leak caused by a small suds overflow. Furthermore, Jermaine advised me that if I experienced the issue within the next 30 days, to please call back as they have a 30 day guarantee on their work, even though technically no work other than diagnostics was actually performed.
All In all, I was pleased with the service. But I feel that I can not yet give a 5 star rating, as I did not get to review their work. But they are deserving of a solid 4 star rating for their professionalism.

I had a really hard time finding a good appliance repair company. I live on the third floor in the French Quarter. So between complaints about parking — and all the stairs they have to use to get to my home — I get pretty irritated with it because I do it all the time. Plus I am required to listen to it a few times because they always have to leave to get parts. Dial One was different. The repairman was on time, did not complain, did not have to leave to get parts and his price was fair. I was so happy and impressed by everyone I worked with from the company. Thank you.

After several calls to many appliance repair company’s I decided on Dail One to repair my washer. They came when they said, fixed the problem and charged a fair price. The other company’s wanted me to pay for their parking, requested a credit card in advance etc… Dail one made it easy to do business. The technician was JB

I have a dog that sheds. A lot. But I’m able to overlook that and still love him all the same (see review on VCA).
OK, great. I love my dog. I also love modern conveniences like my air conditioner, refrigerator and any other appliances that fight the Southern Summer sun. So my dog and my modern conveniences find themselves at odds. His fur becomes tumbleweeds and drift lazily about my house. It clusters in corners, it embeds in rugs and, apparently, it collects beneath my aforementioned refrigerator.
Katrina taught us about the horrors of a powerless fridge. So when my refrigerator shut down (it’s only a couple of years old, mind you), I wasted no time in calling Dial One. The technician was on site a few hours later and was able to diagnose the problem fairly quickly — cooling coils clogged with dog hair. Luckily, the coils weren’t damaged; so a cleaning was all that was needed.
My modern appliances are doing what they’re supposed to do; and my dog doesn’t need to be shaved down for the Summer. It’s a win-​win.

Absolutely the best home repair experience. Clean and professional repair staff. Appointment was on time and job was completed quickly and properly. FABULOUS !!

I’m giving them one star because zero stars wasn’t an option. Please do yourself a favor and do not ever hire this company to do any of your major appliance repairs! That is unless you’re happy to be billed twice for labor charges. They will come to your house and charge you $ 90 to do a diagnostic that they claim will be included in the cost of your total bill. Then they charge you labor based on the MASPG (Major Appliance Service Pricing Guide), which determines the labor charge that any conceivable repair job would cost you. So far all’s fair and good, right? Until they come back, do the job, tell the estimate has changed, and then you realize that not only have they charged you based on the MASPG, but then they have added their own labor charge of $ 90. Now do the math. $ 90 diagnostic that will be included (reimbursed) in the total cost of the job. Regular labor charge. Then another $ 90 charge for what exactly? Could it be to offset the reimbursement for the diagnostic? Strange that those numbers are identical? By the way, these figures are real, and the guy spent 15 minutes at my house on a repair job.15 minutes, $ 180 labor charge. I’m sure you can do better than that. And then when I called up to complain, I was told first that everyone was at lunch.
I said to the woman I was speaking with, «You’re not at lunch, tell what this $ 90 charge is all about.»
She said, «Well, sir, I don’t know, I don’t handle billing.»
I said, «Well, how many employees do you all have over there. This isn’t some major corporation. How long have you been working there?»
«Ten years.»
I said, «Ten years and you have never seen an invoice and you know nothing about how they bill their clients?»
Silence.
«Well, sir, everyone’s at lunch and I’m gonna have to have my supervisor call you back later.»
This was on a Friday. I got a call back Monday afternoon and it was explained to me that this is simply THE WAY THEY DO BUSINESS. Even after the guy could not in any sort of conventional English explain to my the additional $ 90 charge on the bill, why it was there, how 15 minutes of work justified a $ 180 labor charge, or how it is reasonalbe that any company in the world DOES BUSINESS THE WAY THEy DO.
Do yourself a favor and find a company who does business some other way.
