Craig Ledet

Dr. Ledet runs a chiropractic clinic on Oak Street. I was referred there by my personal injury attorney. Thinking that they «knew what was best for me» I spent almost a month in the care of Dr. Ledets’ thriving clinic. I saw MD. s that prescribed medications, nurses that took X Rays, DC of course, and «physical therapist» types, and I am using that term quite loosely. Dr. Ledets’ «Mission Statement», included the wish to «serve as many people as possible» amongst other things. This clinic was similar to a mass merchandiser of health care. I can liken it to the Target of health care. I really should have know the «Mission Statement» by heart now, as I spent hours staring at it. I think I can almost make an ode to his Mission Statement, which has been monopolizing my thoughts all day to the point of madness. You know, I can give him 5 stars for his «Mission Statement» alone.
The 4 or 5 times that I saw a Doctor, I could not complain, but I didn’t love the level of service, nor agree 100% with where the treatment was going. Of course I am not an expert on health care standards, but I know my body and I know customer service. Being part of such a big practice, THAT annoyed me. On 3 times, I walked out without being treated as the wait was too long, or I didn’t appreciate the front desk service acumen at the moment. I have waited longer for treatment, yes I have, but somehow the wait was never so annoying as it was at Dr. Ledets office. I experienced a «physical therapist» who was so green, she couldn’t velcro a strap correctly. After one doctor insisted on «cold» therapy, I was still treated with «hot».
Dr. Ledets’ office just seems like a revolving door of health care, where I saw huge amounts of people being treated as if it were a «free clinic». But in this case, it wasn’t, and I am not buying it anymore.
Thinking back, it seems that all Dr. Ledet wanted to do was quote, «Treat as many people as possible», and THAT was exactly what I hated most. One less number, won’t hurt his bottom line.
In his defense, and not that he needs any, but he DID call and try to make things right. Point is, that I can go up the block to Beaumont, DC for 21 minutes of electro-​stim a week, without the hassle of being one of many in the quest for better health.
