Description

Specialties

We are a pair of tour guides in New Orleans and give fully-guided private and group tours on mule-drawn carriages around the French Quarter, the Marigny and the Tremé neighborhoods. Our tours operate days and nights and are available by walk-up at Jackson Square or by calling our number and prearranging.

History

Established in 2013.

Mule-drawn carriages have been part of the landscape of New Orleans for 75 years. We love to share the experience of stepping back in time and really digging into the atmosphere of a New Orleans at the turn of the 19th century. We take you through the narrow streets of the oldest parts of town and tell you stories of those who lived here, how they lived, and what the city was like back in those days. The rhythm of the mules feet and the sway of the carriage combined with the sights and sounds of the city will put you under New Orleans’ spell. You may feel drawn to stay, as we felt years ago.

Meet the Business Owner

Cindy S.

Business Owner

I’ve lived in New Orleans on-and-off since 1997, and I became a carriage driver after returning from a two year stay in France. After being in the service industry for years, I thought I would try my hand at telling stories rather than listening to the same ones night-in and night-out. And wouldn’t you know it? I love my job, and I love sharing my experiences of living here in New Orleans with visitors. I am a big foodie and music fan, so I can advise you about where to eat and what to do in town, of day-to-day happenings, as well as tell stories of the bygone days of New Orleans. Hear about pirates, and Storyville and the musicians and gamblers that left their mark on this city. Appreciate the sounds, the smells and the unique architecture of the different neighborhoods. Find out why New Orleans is like no other city in America.
