Do not use them! As we were driving away from Airport, taxi driver told me that their credit card machine was out due to hurricane Patricia in Mexico. Said I had to pay cash. I was out there on business so needed to use my cc for expenses and the driver refused. Couldn’t do much since I was already in the car half way to my destination. Never again will I use a taxi in New Orleans. When he dropped me off at my hotel, he basically threw my luggage out of the car and said next to the person waiting. Used über for the rest of my time there.

We got in a cab (Alliance — a big red SUV) at Harrah’s New Orleans on Thursday, October 22^nd, around 9:30AM to head to the airport. About halfway there, I realized it still said «for hire», but since it’s a fixed price, I didn’t think it was an issue.
Clearly it was an issue, since when we got to the airport, the driver jumped out, took our bags out, and held out her hand. When we tried to give her a credit card, she said «I just started and my credit card machine isn’t on yet». Seriously? She was sitting in a line of cabs at the hotel for who knows how long, so we know she was lying.
We KNOW that cabs who go to the airport and charge a fixed price are REQUIRED to take credit cards.
What if we didn’t have enough cash? Looking back on it now, we should have told her «Sorry, we have no cash».
Clearly she just pocketed the money — stealing from the cab company AND the IRS since it wasn’t reported as income.
We reported her to the Taxicab & For Hire Bureau, and everyone else who encounters a problem like this should do the same thing.

Cabbie selected his own tip without asking me what I would have preferred to have charged to my credit card OR telling me what he was doing, printed it and handed it to me folded up but I opened it up to look at it before I departed the car. First, this is akin to stealing. Second, he would have gotten more than the amount he put in if he had not been so ridiculous. Third, I did not appreciate the goofy grin that he gave me when I got out of the car and left the door open on purpose so that I could tell him that he was wrong to do what he did in front of the hotel bell hop… just in case he had been a favorite… choices have consequences sir.

Horrible. The driver rang my cell phone and as I was OUTSIDE locking my apartment door he drove off. I was late to work because the second cab the sent never arrived. I will NEVER use this service again and steer all my clients away from them as well. Thank you, UBER, for saving us from Alliances bullshit.

Stay away from Alliance Cab Services of New Orleans. Drivers are rude and dishonest! Apparently the meter means nothing, they charge more when they want.
We were actually warned by other taxi companies to stay away from the «red cabs» as they are crooks.
Do not hail a «red cab» from Alliance when visiting New Orleans!

Dirty and they have horrible insurance. If you are hurt you are screwed. Came into town for an international insurance conference. The airport called this guy. Good luck

Oh Alliance cab you are absolutely horrible! Let’s break this down! We just finished an afternoon of sightseeing and dining and were exhausted. We saw a line of cabs and the first guy (your guy) was on the phone in his driver’s seat so, we went to the next cab and asked if we could get a ride. He told us we had to go to the first guy in line and went up to get the guys attention since, we told him he was on the phone and that’s why we asked him. The guy was telling him no just take them and the guy was like I can’t you are first in line.
The guy got off the phone in a huff and opened the door for us to get in his van. He asked us where we were going and I told him the street number and then tried to pronounce the street Prieur. Look I am from out of town and don’t know the pronunciation however, he didn’t have to scold me for it. He basically said give me the phone so, I handed over my phone so he could see the address. Then he said you guys don’t know how to get there? Um no, have I mentioned we are from out of town? Sorry are you new at cab driving buddy or do you not have GPS? Two minutes down the road he asked for the address again and I said ok hang on let me pull it up on my phone again. He got all huffy and told me to hurry up. I handed over my phone once again and onward we went. We crossed Esplanade and I thought we were going to die because he pulled out in front of traffic that was way too close. The shock and horror on all of our faces was apparent.
We finally got there and paid the fare and basically jumped out because we couldn’t wait to get out. I have never had a ruder cab driver and I used to take cabs in NYC daily! I would also like to add that this was double the price of Über and that could have been because he drove us a long roundabout way! Also, the drivers driving registration on the back of the seat was expired!
Good job Alliance Cab you just gave Über a few new permanent customers. Save yourself the trouble and walk instead of taking this cab company.

My cab experience with Alliance was so traumatizing that I have not been in a taxi alone since «the incident».
After coming home from a business trip, I was in the cab line at the New Orleans Airport around 11:30PM. They assigned me to cab 1011 Alliance, Wilfred Francois. I told him to take me to the West Bank, and he said he did not know where that was. I told him to take me to the bridge, he still didn’t understand. I got in the car and told him I’d give him directions.
I’m sure he knew what I was talking about, but cabbies around here are notorious for not wanting to cross the bridge.
After crossing the bridge, I instructed him to get off at the first exit. When it was time to turn right at the red light, he ignored me. I said it louder, and he ignored me. I asked him if he could hear me. He ignored me. I got in the middle row of seats and stuck my head into the front seats, and asked him again very loudly. He ignored me. The light turned green and he went straight — THE WRONG DIRECTION.
I asked him over and over, «Can you hear me? Why are you ignoring me?». He continued to drive in the wrong direction. I started to panic, and took a picture of his ID badge and called my husband. I told my husband very loudly to «call the police if I’m not home in 5 minutes.» As we approached the next light, I said, «Turn here! Turn here!». He still ignored me. At the next light, there was no option to continue strait, and we were now going to pass through a bad part of Algiers to get to my house. At this point I was yelling «Turn right! Turn right!» He turned right on to Nunez Street and pulled over and stopped the car. At this point, I contemplated jumping out of the car and running away. I started yelling that I was going to call the police, so he continued to drive. I somehow managed to make him turn two more times to take me home.
When I finally got home, I jumped out of the car and got my bag. He then, all of the sudden, could talk, and told me I owed him $ 70. I asked to see the meter and he said he didn’t turn it on. Of course, like most crappy cabbies in this city, he wouldn’t take a credit card. I gave him $ 40 cash and he started to yell at me. I ran up my stairs, and he yelled, «GOD IS WATCHING YOU!!!»
That was scary.

Extremely poor service. Inquired about wait time and was hung up on by operator. Called 20 min later, hung up on, dialed again and was told «mam you have only been waiting 10 min, the wait is 45min to one hour». Would have appreciated this information upfront rather than the rude service and demeaning tone. Waited 5 minutes for an über immediately following. Don’t recommend.

Quick and honest!

Not one, but two Alliance cabs rolled down their window to ask where we were going, then refused service. This city’s taxi lobby is so lazy, slow, and corrupt it’s shameful.
I hope Lyft, Über, or Flywheel get here in a hurry. The cab service here is pathetic.

This is by far the absolutely worst company you can call. My kids flew in from Washington State to the New Orleans airport. We live in the French quarter. It is only about a 15 minute drive at the most. Unfortunately alliance picked the kids p with a brand new driver Mondy Jaudy who did not know Anything at all about Nola. She took them straight to st Charles and got stuck in parade traffic for over two hours. We were on the phone trying to direct her where to go. If she had listened and taken the Vieux Carre exit she would have been at our place in 15 minutes. As it was she didn’t get her phone GPS out until she was stuck at the Parade. Complete lCk of knowledge. She even sucked if we lived in old town? Old town? Never never will we use this worthless company again. We would rather walk!

Terrible company. I scheduled a cab for immediate pick up and the ETA was 35 min. After 45 min, I called the company again and the lady on the phone told me they never sent any car. Avoid them if you can!

This is the worst cab service I’ve had. I called a cab two and a half hours ago for a cab and no one showed up. I called multiple times to dispatch to see what was happening and they kept on saying that I would just have to wait longer. Eventually a dispatcher told me she had already sent a cab driver over to me and it should have already arrived, so she told me she would check on the driver and promptly hung up on me. I waited another twenty minutes before calling back and when I did they didn’t even answer. When I called back again they told me that the driver couldn’t find me and that I should call another company.

Our dispatcher was very nice and accommodating to our needs. We asked for a cab to pick us up in an hour and they were right on time. We had to pick up a friend several blocks away and the driver happily accommodated our needs and was patient while we got our friend out of the house and loaded into the cab. This is the company I will use next time in New Orleans.

After calling other cab service, I decided to call Alliance. Mr. Jean– Pierre picked up phone and assured me that he will pick us up. We were in the «poor» side of New Orleans. Unfortunately, this is where our people settled. This are was so bad that the taxi driver who took us there hesitated for a good 10 minutes. Any who mr. Jean-​Pierre came and picked us up like he promised.

Awful. After scheduling a taxicab with Alliance two days in a row, neither cab showed up. In the past they’ve always been late, typically double their estimate, but after the most recent experiences we certainly won’t call Alliance again.

Great Experience! Called 30 minutes before our group of 6 needed to be pick up to be taken to airport. Driver Nicolas was early waiting for us on curb. Very friendly and prompt service :-) Thank you Nicolas for an awesome stress free trip to the airport :-)

Avoid! This driver #725 tried to purposely run me off the road last night. Fine if they want to milk a fare and drive 15 mph below the speed limit, but I try and get around them and he tries to swerve to hit me on purpose.
