The ones in other states are bigger and less crowded. It’s NY, so I guess I can’t expect any more. This Lakeshore is fine. Has all of the basic stuff you’d expect in a Lakeshore, except they don’t sell furniture here. The shorter guy with facial hair is quite helpful. But the store gets way too busy and the line moved painfully slowly. It was clear that the ladies working the registers weren’t super efficient. I left the line bc it was taking way too long. Most of the stuff they sell here you can buy off of their website or on Amazon for cheaper. Only reason to come to the store is if you need to show room something or laminate a poster. Most of the people looked like they were just laminating.

As a preschool director, everyone that has been too lakeshore would agree with me that their materials are expensive but so worth the money. New Manager Joe and Karen are very helpful with placing large order. I am very tempted to take one star off because our recent purchase has a lot of confusion with delivery and set up. However, they have made sure that someone from corporate calls me back and we were able to get a team to assemble the kitchen set(large pieces of sink, hutch, oven, refrigerator), activity table, and 3 large cubbies.

I am addicted to this place anytime school is in session. I’ve been to most of the teacher supplies stores in NY: which by the way there aren’t many, and they have EVERYTHING! The staff is very friendly and attentive. A great teacher supply store!!! They have a lot to choose from and usually have 20% off on many items. They even do arts and crafts for free on weekends. Their online website offers lesson plans and teaching tools for the classroom. LOVE!

A fantastic teacher store! As far as teacher stores go, this one is much better than Carroll’s(in Queens) and the local Staples or Michael’s. My friend took me today to stock up on classroom items before school starts. They run a summer sale where nearly everything is 20% off and if it isn’t on sale, they always have coupons! In fact, checking in on Unilocal also scores you a 20% off coupon off any nonsale item! There is plenty of parking in the lot which makes it very convenient but sadly it’s not accessibly by public transportation if you don’t have access to a car :( The store is clean and well laid out. Signs overhead tell you where things are located. The selection is intense… there were too many choices of everything! It’s great because you had so many options of borders/games/little labels, etc but I was almost overwhelmed. Sale items are clearly marked and placed together(sometimes in the aisles). There are also laminating machines in the store if you need items laminated. I believe it’s cheaper than Staples’ laminating price. I love that there are also games/toys out for you to «sample.» Staff were very friendly when we asked for things. There’s even a restroom located by one of the entrances. Will definitely come back again for classroom needs!

very nice 20% check in deal. I love it when businesses recognize the power of Unilocal and give some sort of discount for the check in. Love it… so much so i’ll give it an extra star! if you are a teacher you probably already know about this place. it’s got basically everything a teacher needs. My wife is a teacher and whenever she steps foot in this place she gets these crazy eyes, probably the same eyes i get at Fairway. I’ve also seen these eyes on my kids on Christmas morning. Yes this place is a teacher’s wonderland. everything i mean everything teacher related can be found here. But it’s not only for teachers its for anyone who wants to help their kids do better in school, lots of different things that are educational and fun. They also do laminating which seems to be very practical and helpful. yeah it’s a cool store.

There’s a lot to love about this store. I get lost playing with their awesome toys and games every time we visit. We love the free arts and crafts Saturday events. They are usually well thought out and creative. Only downside is that some of the products are overpriced. Upside is that this place is much better and cleaner than your average run down mindless toys you find at your local toys r us. The lot in front is somewhat small. There’s a larger lot in the back though.

They have everything that a teacher needs, lots of sales, and helpful employees. Even though the laminating machine is self-service I asked for help and got it quickly and pleasantly.

One of my friends who is a teacher suggested for me to go to this store since I was trying to find some teaching material to help my younger sister who is ten and has learning disability. One can go to this store with no ideas and come out with so many ways to teach. The staff was happy to help and were very knowledgeable. I will definitely go back.

I’ve been to this Lakeshore Learning several times, both for classroom related items and gifts for my young nephews. Every time I’ve been here, I’ve had a great experience. The store is organized very well, and the staff are SO friendly and helpful. I’ve never met an employee who wasn’t happy to help me find what I need, give me information, or anything else. Also, I use the laminating machine all the time for my classroom, and I can’t believe how cheap it is with the teacher card. Great materials and a fantastic staff… love this store!

I randomly drove by on my way somewhere else and as a tutor of younger kids and a teacher of college students(who get stickers on their quizzes at the age of 21 because I can’t help myself), this place appealed to me. Inside is a TON of information to foster creativity and scholastic development. It also has things for real teachers of classrooms like those borders and class chore list type things. It also has lots of dramatic play items like pretend kitchen and grocery store items, so it’s also good for a parent who is just looking for fun things to keep their child busy. I can’t price compare yet but it seems reasonable and has far more selection than Barnes & Nobles when it comes to interactive educational games. Drawback is you won’t find one in the city. Minus a star because the parking lot is horrific although it’s not directly their fault.
