Highly recommended! I’ve never left a Unilocal review before, but I was so impressed by the service provided by The Wireless Wiz that I felt compelled to do so.
I called them before stopping by and told them that my phone was unable to access its data, and Brianna told me to stop by the store and she’d take a look at it free of charge. When I got there, she figured out the solution within minutes, and didn’t charge me a thing for her time. Great service (Brianna is so pleasant and delightful to interact with), and surprisingly cheap phones (I’m not expert on the used phone market but an iPhone 4 for ~$ 100 sounds really reasonable to me). The cool design of the store is a nice bonus too.

Wow! I was fraught with emotions when I clumsily dropped my iPhone on a hardwood floor the other night. It was a terrible night as I couldn’t text my friends logistics to meet for beers and watch football, and then the inability to check in my beers on Untappd.
Terrified I would have a few more phoneless days, my privilege and I walked into The Wireless Wiz on a Friday morning. I was immediately assured they’d be able to fix my phone. Assuming I would leave it there over the weekend, I was told it would be ready within an hour or two. Rejoice! The price was reasonable, especially given the expediency of repair.
My phone was ready a half hour before they said it would be, and I got a discount on a new case to prevent such oopsies from happening again. If I find myself a klutz again and break through the Otterbox, I would gladly return to the Wireless Wiz, but they did such a great job with wonderful professionalism and niceness, I probably will not need to return.
Definitely visit if your phone looks like a splintery spiderweb and makes you bleed.

If I could give zero stars, I would. These guys are a SHAM. Went in for a simple screen replacement, and all seemed ok. Left the store and went to my wireless provider to trade it in, and the screen literally cracked in the hands of the sales associate. No damage, no trauma, just cracked in his hand — even worse than the first one! He was ASTONISHED. In 9 years of cellphone work, he had never seen anything like that — him and the store manager took a closer look, and noticed the screen was not inserted properly. The bottom end of the screen where it had cracked, was out more than the top end. When I returned to the store, the «manager» on duty refused to even listen to what happened. All she kept saying was that it left the store OK, so some kind of physical damage must have happened in the last 90 minutes. After much discussion, she finally said she would repair it again, for a discounted price… 95 $ down from 125 $… No thanks! Wasted over a hundred dollars the first time, and unable to return my phone now. DO NOT GO TO THIS STORE. BAD BAD BAD.

Great, quick service and a friendly staff! I cracked my phone pretty bad and they had it good as new in under an hour and threw in a sturdy case for a discount plus gave me two coupons to give to friends for ten dollars off a pop. Not too shabby!

I can only comment about phone screen repair because that is the only service I utilized. My iPhone screen was cracked but it worked so I just left it that way. This morning the touch screen stopped working so my phone was useless. I need it for work and I was panicking big-​time. I am Facebook friends with the wireless wiz owner Barbie so I shot her a quick message and she got right back to me. She sent me down to her store and in under an hour my phone was completely repaired and the price was fantastic. The place is great so if you need a phone fixed don’t hesitate, my experience was awesome.

I purchased a groupon to Wireless Wiz to have my cracked iPhone 5 screen replaced. I was a little skeptical based on some of the previous reviews, but they did a great job! The person working was polite and replaced my screen within 30 minutes. No complaints here :)

This store is absolutely the worst ripoff I have ever been to in my 53 years. I am currently suing them as well as in the process of having an employee arrested for assault. They are completely incompetent and also caused a store wide riot by calling me the N word. Police attempted to arrest the employee but he fled the premises. The screen they had fixed cracked before i even got home. They even replaced it with the wrong screen. I entered with a white galaxy s3 and left with a blue one. I contacted the better business bureau about them. Awful awful store. Don’t do business with racists. Only one star because I have to to post.

Dropped off my phone for repairs and they told me to come back at 5p to pick it up. Turned out they also closed at 5p that day, but they did not tell me this, so when I got there at 5:05p they were all locked up. They left me stranded without a phone all weekend since they were also closed the next day (Sunday). Jackasses

This place is great! I damaged my LCD screen trying to take pictures in the rain– pictures were amazing, but left me with a shaky screen. They checked it out to make sure the damage was fixable and replaced my screen for my iPhone 5.
My screen had some issues about a month later, and they fixed it despite me being a day past the 30 day warranty. Everyone I spoke with on both visits were incredibly professional and knowledgeable about the phone issues. Surprised to see the reviews below, actually. Having worked in customer service, it is pretty rare that the person behind the desk starts out «rude» unless you come in with a shitty attitude. And if you were so smart, you’d fix your phone yourself! ** steps off soap box ** Anyway, they were nothing but polite and cordial. And regardless, my phone works! Working phone beats real/​imaginary sass.
Great way to save money on replacing a phone. I’d definitely recommend checking this place out if yours stops working before getting a new one.

I made the mistake of going there twice. The young man is has a horrible attitude and horrendous customer service! Both times he did not even look up while he was talking to me. I had a groupon because my screen was cracked. He wanted $ 120 up front. I went to Wireless Wiz in East Haven. The gentleman there is great!!! He will even stay after hours to help you! It’s worth going out of your way to go to the one in East Haven. They are 2 separate companies too.

My iphone battery replacement took more than an hour longer than they said it would. Not only that, but they kept saying it would be done in 15 minutes, so I stayed at the store waiting while two homeless guys drank out of a paper bag. Make sure the idiots who work there have plenty of time to do their jobs. Idiots.

I was having an issue with the power button on my Samsung Galaxy S3. I paid the $ 45 repair deposit; they took a look at it (quickly and responsively, or else this would be a one-​star review). The official recommendation was to 1) erase the data on my phone, which made no sense since it was clearly a power button issue, and 2) if that didn’t work, buy a new power button, which would bump the repair cost up an extra $ 70 (over 4x the actual cost of a power button bought online) to a total of $ 115 (half the original price of the phone). They gave the phone back to me so I could save my data, and while I had it at home with me, I figured that for that price I might as well give it a shot myself. I did: I opened it up with one small screwdriver, popped the power button off with another, and popped the button back on again. Works like a charm now, and I saved $ 70.
You’d think that for the amount I paid them up front, they might have tried doing that themselves. I paid the deposit assuming some kind of expertise, but that’s $ 45 I’m never getting back. Pretty disappointing experience; not going back.
UPDATE (belated): A few days after posting the original review, I was contacted by an employee (who does the repairs) with a demand for payment of the full standard repair cost (another $ 30 or $ 40 beyond the deposit I had already paid and wasted); and then later by the manager (owner?) saying that my review was unjust, then simultaneously telling me I owed them money and later offering me my money back if I was dissatisfied. Not wanting to go back in any case, I declined both.

just want to say I received the best service from Angel and Greg last week. I came in near closing time and my my charger port was broken. Instead of shipping it out and waiting for a long time for it to get fixed. I was offered a very good price for the last HTC sense in the store and even though it was hard getting through to the carrier. They never gave up on me, and they were polite even though I know they were tired. They went above and beyond the call of duty and provided excellent customer service. KUDOS!
