Just from my phone conversation alone with the receptionist I WILL NOT be scheduling an appointment. I need a skin check and asked for a female doctor the receptionist told me «we don’t have female doctors that do skin checks, dr savin does a million of them a day, he does like 20 a day its fine»… ya no thanks.

I had a consultation scheduled with the consultant, not with Dr Donofrio, about cosmetic procedures. The consultant couldn’t decide which one would be better for me, so she wanted to ask Dr. Donofrio. Without warning me that it would cost $ 125 to ask the Dr. she went outside and sent Dr. Donofrio in. She spent about 10 minutes with me, and said that if I went ahead with the procedure she would deduct the amount for the consultation. I find this behaviour very unprofetional. If they can’t train the consultant to know enough about what they offer, they shouldn’t offer free consultations with her.

My first visit to Dr. Savin’s office was a success. I saw one of the other specialists in the office for an easy fix.
However, my second visit was my last. This time, I saw the renowned Dr. Savin himself. When I presented my symptoms and asked for his assessment, he said that he didn’t know. I asked more questions. He seemed to hate that. To almost all of my questions, he responded that he didn’t know.
That terseness was dotted with sarcastic remarks. «Do you want to buy my textbook?» «Do you have a million dollars to donate to this research?» «Do you think I’m a magician?»
He grabbed the affected area we were discussing, made some blanket remarks about things a 2-​minute Google search had already told me, said that there was nothing to be done about my condition, and told me that he «think[s] that should do it.» He spent a few more minutes scribbling, and that was that. I sincerely wish I hadn’t wasted my time or money on him.

I don’t like complaining much but this experience was the worst experience I have ever had.
This was my first time at a dermatologist. The doctor I had (Dr Savin) was so rude. I understand people have different personalities, but this guy just did not make me feel comfortable at all. I told him the medical problems with my family related to dermatology and when I told him about my mom’s psoriasis & said that it was stress related, he said it wasn’t and that it was from God. I am a Christian myself & maybe he was trying to present God in a way but at the same time, my mom’s dermatologist said it was because of my mom’s condition so I found it offensive. When I told him about my condition and said I had it biopsied before & it wasn’t cancerous, he said «well obviously or you would be dead.» This was so rude, I wanted to laugh. What doctor says that? I have a follow up in 10 days, and if I can, I am requesting another doctor. After this check up, I will not go back here nor will I tell people I know about this place. Where is the bed side manner?

I was skeptical when I made my appointment because the reviews were so mixed, but they got me in within just a few days. Other dermatologist offices had at least a 3 week wait and I was desperate. The front desk staff was pleasant and helpful (always a good sign). The nurse was too. Waited less than 15 minutes total between the waiting room and exam room. I met with the PA and he was great. Quick focused exam, asked a few questions, made his diagnosis, answered my questions. I left with a couple prescriptions and a follow up appt in two weeks. As a first time patient, I was very pleased with my experience and I will continue to use this office in the future.

I was in pain with a mouth sore that I had not have had in over two years which was when the doctor previously already made the diagnosis of what causes the painful cracks in the corners of my mouth.
I called for a refill for the ointment and the nurse said since I had not been there for «it» since ’10, I needed to come in again and be seen by the doctor. Mind you, as I explained to her (the rude, first nurse I was on the phone with) that I was just in the office in October for a procedure, I had no skin problems then. She again said that I regardless would have to be seen… again.
I feel that this would be a complete and utter waste of both of our time since the doctor and I already established what the problem was. They also couldn’t get me in to be seen for TWO DAYS.
If it were not for the second nurse that I spoke with upon calling again to see what I could put on it until the appointment, I would not even bother ever going back to this place. Even she was empathetic to how much pain I was in. Except for this one nurse, it is completely obvious they don’t care about their patients and only getting them in for visits for money.
My previous dermatologist who had retired, if I had a known sporadic issue that occurred, I could call and he had NO PROBLEM issuing a refill for a prescription for something that was already diagnosed. THE TIMES OF NICE AND CARING DOCTORS HAS CHANGED.
Based on this experience, I wouldn’t recommend going here for the compassion. It was not like I was asking for an addictive medication, it was a lip ointment! For something already diagnosed!
The second nurse gets the one star, here. Forget the rest of them working at this business. all unsympathetic and miserable money makers. Times have changed.

I was a new patient and they got me in the next week for an appointment. It probably would have been sooner if not for Thanksgiving.
It was my first time at a dermatologists office. I had made an appointment to get a spot on my ear looked at. It was a mole that used to be small, but increased in size. I don’t usually make appointments unless something really makes me nervous. When that happens, I am nervous and worried about everything (finding the right doctor, meeting the doctor, the appointment, etc.) until I finally find out what it is. Through the years I have had a few new spots show up on my skin with aging, but nothing I had ever worried about before. Getting a prompt appointment really helped ease my worries from the start. The staff here is extremely nice. The secretaries and nurses were very kind and also stepped down my nervousness a bit. Then I finally met the doctor, Dr. Savin. He was great. He looked at the spot, made a general judgement that from the appearance it seemed ok, but gave me options and asked me what I wanted to do because I had expressed concern that despite being there for a while it was a little bigger. Dr. Savin was straight to the point and everything went fast. Despite being fast, it was great. He didn’t come across as cold (he actually has a great sense of humor) or uncaring. He listened to my concerns and when I made a decision he said great and scheduled me for another appointment a few days later.
The few days later I had the spot removed for a biopsy. It was small but not too small. To be safe he said he was removing the entire thing rather than taking a piece for testing. Complete removal would require a few stitches he said. I said no problem. They numbed my ear, removed the spot, and stitched me up in less than 30 minutes. I talked with the doctors (Dr. Rau stitched me up) and the nurse the entire time. For having a piece of my ear snipped off, it actually wasn’t bad at all. I would and have recommended him to others because they just made me feel so comfortable there, which with previous terrible doctor interactions always on my mind with new doctors, this is not an easy feat.

I had this really itchy rash on my face– like kind of where my cheeks and nose meet. It felt like poison ivy. It was so embarrassing. I thought it would go away but it never did. Went to Savin and he informed me of what it was. Sebbhoric dermatitis. It was such a relief. It’s a chronic condition. It will act up if I eat the following; processed sugars– spicy food, greasy food. So basically all the stuff I loved. He also prescribed me fluticasone for when it acts up. Well now I don’t eat spicy-​sweet-​or greasy. So not only did he empower me, but I lost 22 pounds because of the changes I made and exercising. Went there for other embarrassing skin problems too. The doctor was always super cool. I felt comfortable as all heck. The parking is a private lot. The office is clean. The receptionists are sweet.

Went to Dr Savin twice, both times for skin infections and both times he knew exactly what to do .
I like a no nonsense Doctor who is knowledgeable and listens to their patients concerns, i wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him to anyone !
