You can’t go wrong with FroyoWorld. They have great flavors and it’s quick to get your yogurt.

I came into FroyoWorld on a rainy afternoon for conversation and frozen yogurt. There are only a handful of flavour choices, but I was pleased with both the nutella and strawberry flavours. This establishment also maintains a sufficient selection of toppings. Of their toppings, I selected sliced strawberries, which were fresh and clean.
Verdict:
A typical Froyo establishment — I have no complaints.

The original froyo queen and now seemingly the only real surviver of the froyo war on campus. Funny how these things seem to work out. I have always been a fan of this place. Despite offering fewer fruity flavors than I would like, I am happy as long as they never take away their original tart. That tart is the perfect blend of icy, sweet, sour, and yogurty all at once. Recently, they’ve also ramped up their toppings, which now includes not two but FOUR flavors of popping bubbles. So much appreciation cuz these little gems are just explosions of goodness in your mouth and pairs perfectly with froyo.
With Flavors gone, this place will definitely become my permanent go-​to for froyo whenever I visit campus.

I wasn’t very impressed coming here. I had come with great expectations, but easily let down. I only give the two stars for their toppings and original tart that they have (which are pretty good). Otherwise, everything else was too sugary and overpriced. You cannot enjoy knowing that 55 cents per ounce comes results in a $ 14 bowl that you want. Go Greenly in general is far better as a chain and in terms of pricing. Come in here if you want overpriced and sugary stuff, otherwise bail.

Very few choices in flavors, the consistency and taste of the froyo itself was almost
like regular yogurt except cold & (not the kind that’s so good it’s almost better than ice cream) plus one of the machines wasn’t working. Good selection in toppings, although they don’t have hot chocolate/​hot caramel fudge. I think it might be because I literally go to EVERY frozen yogurt place I spot that my standards are so high. As a froyo enthusiast I’m not impressed at all.

Best froyo around! The tart is delicious and refreshing, although there is a wide verity of flavors and toppings. Helpful crew as well. I would definitely recommend :-)

To start I have been to several froyo worlds over the last few years and they have been consistently good. Then this froyo world happened.
I will have to say the girl working the counter was very friendly and helpful but that is about where this reviews pros end.
The froyo world is very small and there is little in terms of seating. The location has fewer flavors then any froyo place I have been to and three of six flavors have a chocolate theme. The toppings all look like they have been sitting out far to long and the store lacks hot fudge and most of the basic fruits other places have.
The store appeared to be a little worn with paper flavor signs covering what appeared to be none working lcd screens. Only one cup size was available not to sure if they were just out of large cups or if the size is not offered.
I strongly would consider trying another froyo store in the area before settling on this place.

Late night froyo! Flavors change often, almost always offer a dairy-​free option, and toppings are fresh and varied. A little expensive, but pretty standard pricing for a froyo place.

It’s a frozen yogurt self serve bar, you can’t go wrong! A fine assortment of decadent toppings.

Froyo is so good but they have a little competition between them and Go Greenly. No free topping days here:(
I love Froyo

Really good froyo. Make sure to ask for the tester cups to try the flavors out. They need to bring the lychee flavor back.

FroyoWorld doesn’t really have any unique features to distinguish it from the other self-​serve froyo places that seem to be springing up all over New Haven and elsewhere, but they have a good selection of flavors and toppings (rainbow cookies!) and are relatively inexpensive. Bonus points for being clean, well-​lit, and having friendly employees.

This is a standard self-​serve froyo shop. They only have 8 flavors, half the number of a certain much better, well-​known chain, but the flavors I did try were pretty great.
It’s got the same long, narrow setup that these places often do, with just a few seats at one end and a few more stools along the side. I could see it getting pretty claustrophobic if there are actually a few customers in here.
Get the Cake Batter and the Apple Pie a la mode. Cake Batter is always one of the best flavors, and the Apple Pie one actually really tasted like apple pie.
The toppings are pretty typical. They do have those ones though for some where you twist from below to dole out some nuts or candies, etc., so be careful of that scam where way too much can pour out, leaving you with a heavy, expensive cup of sprinkles.
This is a solid dessert option for a lighter choice on the go to balance out eating all of the delicious pizza all over town.

Visited this place numerous times during my one year stay in New Haven, even during the frigid winter months. My trips to FroyoWorld were usually with co-​residents after visiting Ivy Noodle, Basil, Yamadora, or Lao Szechuan in order to cool off the spicy dinner.
Food (9.5÷10) = loved the different flavors, and how they changed the flavors quite frequently. My favorite flavors were the tart flavors such as kiwi. Top it off with cheesecake bites, blueberries, strawberries, mango, and of course… MOCHI.
Ambiance (8.5÷10) = bright, clean, refreshing environment.
Service (x/​10) = self service froyo.
Overall Opinion = The only froyo place worth going to in New Haven. I will miss you.

Bonus points for:
a) Being open late (midnight on a Saturday).
b) Self-​serve & pay by weight. You get exactly what you want at a good price.
The original flavor was nice and tart, and it had a smooth and dense texture.
They had tons of topping options including broken up waffle cones, fruits, and different typse of mochi.

Tagged along with some friends this past week to go here again. I was not surprised to see that once again, there were no dairy free options.
I asked the staff if they are ever going to offer dairy free sorbet again. The lady told me to have the Coconut Sorbet. Um, the ingredients right on it clearly said «contains milk.» She’s lucky I read the I read the ingredients first, as if I had an allergic reaction, just imagine…
Poor selection and a staff who doesn’t even know what they serve. Basic service is that you should at least be aware of potential allergens when customers ask. Either say you don’t know or try to find the correct answer. Don’t just assume.

Gotta admit, I’m usually a big ol’ froyo naysayer. I’m exhausted by the trendy self-​serve froyo chains because I’m more of an ice cream or bust type of gal.
Must say though, FroyoWorld has some damn good frozen yogurt. i take back my haterade.
I came here with some other delightful Unilocalfolk after a wonderful meal at Bentara several blocks away. After critically eyeing the flavors, I settled on dutch chocolate and cake batter, topped with caramel turtles, heath bar… and probably one of EVERYTHING ELSE. No, fo realz. This place is seriously awesome. The toppings are beyond extensive– every fruit, candy, cereal, drizzles (fudge, caramel, etc.).
I enjoyed every last spoonful, and dare I say — I just may be a froyo convert.

Went here with a few co-​workers after seeing hundreds of high schoolers walking around with froyo cups everywhere. The only other self-​serve froyo place I’ve been is Berry Moon in Chicago, which is delicious, so that was my standard.
This one is slightly more expensive at 49 cents per ounce. The toppings here though are out of control. There are so many — several kinds of fresh fruit, variety of sprinkles, nuts, a variety of chips (chocolate, white, butterscotch, peanut butter), and even Lucky Charms marshmallows. As far as froyo flavors go, I believe they had 8 or 10 to choose from — I did original tart (perfect tartness), cake batter, and dutch chocolate.
All in all, totally a legit place to go, especially on a hot day. There isn’t a ton of seating, especially if you go when all the high school campers are visiting, but definitely will merit another visit while I’m in CT this summer.

I’ve been meaning to try FroyoWorld since the summer but finally made it there this past weekend. The place is quaint, bright and energetic. First for the froyo: I tried ½ Apple Pie and ½ Vanilla. The apple pie was excellent but a little sweet and may have been too much to have just on it’s own so I’m glad i got the vanilla as well, which was just as yummy! Then on to the toppings which was just an overwhelming experience. I pretty much bypassed the fruit options, b/​c lets face it, it’s all about the sweets! They basically had any topping you could ever want, from cookie dough, to cereal, to candy pieces, to sprinkles. They have something for everyone!
My only complaint was that I wish they had hot fudge! They have plenty of toppings like chocolate syrup and whipped cream but some warm hot fudge would have just put it over the edge. Also, some of the toppings weren’t the best. I tried both cheesecake and brownie bites and I don’t think either lived up to the expectations I had for them. Overall though, It’s definitely worth the trip to FroyoWorld!
