History

Established in 2012.

I started Beautiful Beginnings when I was expecting my 2^nd daughter. While searching for a midwife and researching homebirth, I realized that this is my calling. I’ve worked as a doula and am now taking midwifery clients. I love helping families have beautiful homebirths! I also offer well-​person care and fertility counseling and assistance, along with placenta encapsulation and herbal medicine.

Business Owner

My name is Erin Walker and I am a homebirth midwife in the Lehigh Valley. I’m from Bethlehem, and living in Nazareth now, where my home office is. I have a bachelor’s degree in biology & political science from Moravian College and I’ve been studying midwifery since the spring of 2012, graduating from WomanCraft Midwifery Program in 2014. I had my first home birth in August 2012 and it was an amazing experience that has helped confirm my calling in midwifery. I’m also on the governing council of the Midwives Alliance of PA (www​.pamid​wivesal​liance​.org) and the northeast representative, so if you’re interested in midwifery, please contact me. I’ve been training under four area midwives with over 60 total years experience, including, Jennifer Timbs, a wonderful homebirth midwife serving the LV and northeast PA. We love to help families have beautiful home births!
