Established in 1955.

Started in Lemon Grove, CA by Bill Rhodes. Moved to National City, CA in 1964

Bill grew this business doing «high quality work» –chrome plating, cadmium plating, metal polishing — all for a fair price.

It is continued by his son Jon, and now does more types of plating.

I highly recommend Jon at Lemon Grove Plating! Polished the aluminum to such beautiful shine. I’ll upload before and after pic. Definitely, using them for more parts now.

I have known the Rhodes family for close to 60 years.
I first used Lemon Grove Plating in the late 50’s and early 60’s before I joined the US Army.
I found Lemon Grove Plating again in the late 90’s when we where rebuilding two WWII Go-​Fast boats turning them in to Yachts.
At Nielsen Beaumont Marine here in San Diego.
I also built a 1950 Chevy Pickup Hot Rod.
Again using Lemon Grove Plating
Each and ever time the chrome and metal work was top notch.
Glad to see Jon is now the owner of the best chrome business you will ever find any where.
I send my friends to Lemon Grove Plating knowing they will get the best service and work without question.

Jon was very helpful, and went out of his way to fix a couple chrome light fixtures, which were very rusty. They turned out great! He is friendly, professional, and his rates are very reasonable. I’m glad I found Lemon Grove Plating. Similar shops were a distance away from La Mesa. I would not hesitate to recommend his work.
