This place is amazing! They took care of everything for me, even dealt with the other parties insurance so I didn’t have to worry about anything. They explained exactly what they were going to do and what to expect. They even drove me to pick up my rental car. I just picked my jeep up today, it was finished exactly when they said it would be, and it looked AWESOME! My jeep looks better than when I bought it (and it’s 100% cleaner than when I left it.) everyone there is so welcoming and helpful and they did the best possible job. Thank you! I’m so happy with the great job you did.

Our truck was hit and was going to be towed. When told by my insurance company the choices I had to go, neither of the shops worked specifically on Fords. On a separate call, I found out Perry Ford in National City uses this CA auto body collision center and has been for over 30 years.
With that information, I asked my insurance company if I could tow the truck there. Please note that if you go outside your insurance recommendation, the process for getting an adjuster to look at the damage is not quite as fast because the other places have an adjuster on site. The catch is you could be taking your Ford to Toyota dealership or in my case 5 years ago, my Mercedes to a Chevy. The paint didn’t match and parts were not readily available and it was the bare minimum service. At that Chevy-​based collision center 5 years ago, my back end of my Mercedes wagon was hit, paint damage and some scratches. Chevy couldn’t match the paint and though at the back 12 inches above the damage area, there was an unrelated scratch and chip. These people only repaired what was damaged and left the chip that was on the same side and clearly different paint. I argued and needless to say, I was stuck with it.
CA Auto body is the complete opposite. They are patriots of their business and are 100% amazing people. Not only did they fix the tailgate, they took the time to buff the entire car out. They fixed preexisting small dents on the side door and … BONUS Vacuumed the inside.
Victoria, receptionist extraordinaire, was professional each time we spoke on the phone. The car rental I was in had expired due to a delay in start of repair. By all means… not the fault of CA Body, but rather a miscommunication between my insurance and CA Auto Body. Essentially, my insurance messed up with notification of the adjuster’s appraisal. But… How awesome was CA Auto body that they took care of my rental for the remaining balance because of the miscommunication. Unheard of!!! Professional move by far!
Gabriel is the owner and is an honest business man. When there was a delay and I asked Gabriel. What happened? What do I tell my husband. He didn’t make up an excuse of a light not working or we are waiting for parts mum I jumbo. He told the truth. He just said, «Please tell your husband we are sorry, but the heavy rain has delayed us. We are just behind». I chuckled because that is the first for me. Truth and pure honesty. He said, «I have no other reason, I cannot tell a lie.» Abe Lincoln couldn’t have said it better.
The truck was finally ready but my schedule was packed on Friday. Victoria said she would stay after hours until I could make it or if I was unable to, she would come in on Saturday. So accommodating!
My family and I were able to pick up the truck on Fri. Do not let the location fool you! Damaged cars are lined up… But what do you expect… It Is a collision center!
Our truck seriously looks like it came off of the lot at Perry Ford. It shines from front to back and looks better than it did before it got hit.
I even noticed San Diego county patrol vehicles are brought there too. Good sign!
Victoria greets us with a smile and tells us about the warranty which is PHENOMENAL. Truck is Covered bumper to bumper even if we move out of state!
Unbelievable? IT’s TRUE. Call her yourself.
Alex comes out and greets my husband with a handshake and when asked if he did the work on the vehicle, he said most of the men that just past us in blue (mechanics and body shop workers on their way home 5pm) had worked on our vehicle. I questioned in my head? Most… Like why so many? Not the story. I learned that This great business is family owned and run for over 30 years, since Perry Ford was at National. The employees are Father, daughter, uncle, son-​in-​law, and friends. All hard workers who love what they do. They have a reputation for their stellar work of art and running a tight business.
Gabriel chatted with my husband about servicemen in the military and how if ever I needed anything… Like help with a flat tire, to call and he would help. Seriously? I am sooo glad I went outside my insurance recommendation.
What more can I write? Oh. I asked how could I tip the men involved, there are many. Gabriel said not to worry. But I believe that paying it forward always is the best way to live. They will see me again. But not (hopefully not) with a collision vehicle.

My vehicle was recently damaged on the freeway due to debris and I brought it to California Auto Body for repairs. Gabriel Hernandez helped me get my car fixed back into the condition it was before the loss. I have nothing but great things to say about California Auto Body and of Gabriel Hernandez. From the moment I needed a ride to the rental company and up to the moment I dropped off my rental car at the shop, Gabriel extended his services to me to make sure I did not go out of my convenience. Very professional body shop with a family atmosphere to go with it. The only thing I can do to show my appreciation for all the help I received is to spread the word to others that are in need.

I got into a car accident on January of this year and had no clue where I should take my car so I called the dealer where I got my car 2013 Chrysler 300c and they referred me to this body shop, I called them really friendly people took my car in right away, but since I was having issues with my insurance I didn’t get my car back till march which obviously not there fault but I feel like when the problem with my insurance was settled they rushed to fix my car and did a poor job. the bumper wasn’t on properly one side was more up then the other which made the paint to chip, took it back they «fixed it» so I thought 5 months later the other side of the bumper started doing the same because they never fixed the bumper properly, I don’t even want to bother going back to this shop although they ARE nice people I’m very disappointed with the quality, they also should be more careful when they tow there cars they scraped both bottom side of my car and back bumper. With that being said I would not recommend this place to anyone based on my experience. Only reason I gave them 2 stars and not 1 is because I did like there customer service nice people just not good quality

I was referred to California Auto body by someone who new I was frustrated and needed help. I have a 2013 FRS that was shaking in drive and reverse everytime I had the AC on. 3 different shops looked at the car and could not give me a proper diagnosis of what was wrong. California auto body was my last stop and I’m very happy it was. Gabriel had my car on the rack in 10 min and was able to figure what needed to be done within an hour.
I highly recommend this place to anyone who wants straight up honesty and no hassle. Although they did not have the motor mount I needed on hand it was there that day and the car was running perfect when I picked it up. The best part about my experience was they showed and explained exactly what was wrong and how they were going to fix it. Pleasant experience would go back anytime.

I was referred to this shop by Esurance for an estimate of repairs after another driver backed into me. I had no idea what to expect, but from the time I first called to the moment I arrived I felt like I was their first priority. Gabriel was extremely understanding and walked me through the process without pressuring me to get the work done with him. He gave the insurance an extremely thorough estimate based on what he knew needed to be done. I appreciated his honesty, the feel of hospitality and the efficiency of this shop. I would come back for work on my car and would recommend him to others based on my experience.

We are so lucky that we found California Auto Body Shop. They do fantastic work, and they truly care about their customers. After removing a damaged bumper, they found that a previous repair in the same spot (by another shop) was a rip-​off, and rust had set in. Gabriel and Sheri coached us on negotiating with the other shop, and everything worked out great. This is a family business, and you feel like family when you’re there. And our car looks better than before it got hit! We’re very grateful, and we highly recommend them.

Unfortunate was the circumstance that brought me here. Fortunate was meeting the very knowledgeable and professional group of people there. No BS here! Car was done with a quickness, granted no major repair was needed but done in 2 days just as promised. I was rear ended a couple days ago in rush hour on highway 5. I went immediately to California auto body and frame for a estimate that was fair and left Happy –Knowing I had gotten just that. Super friendly I go to them every time my car needs fixing I’ve taken my car here twice for my bumper and they even washed and touched up another area of car for me, they offer bottled water and a ride home. I would recomend to anyone I know! Great quality work! I was almost in tears how amazing of a job they did. Thought it wasn’t my car!

My gf took her car in last week to get her bumper fixed. The employees are super friendly and that day they went above and beyond to make sure that we were treated well. Upon first entering they offered us cold bottled water and had a positive attitude. One of the employees even gave us a ride home since we weren’t expecting to leave the car there at the moment. Then they order the part right away and estimated the car to be ready yesterday or today. sure enough it was ready today. Overall a nice place. If I ever need work on my car I think I will consider this location for sure :)

Our 2013 Ford Escape was involved in an early morning wreck where a Nissan Altima hit a 2013 Honda Accord with such force that it almost landed on top of our Escape. Contacted Ford for their best recommendation for genuine repairs and they recommended California Auto Body and Frame.
Their customer service is hands down the best… never too busy to talk to their customers about the status of their repairs. They used only genuine Ford parts and service. Escape was repaired better than when purchased new! Gabriel, the project manager of all vehicles at his shop, is a genuine great guy. You can’t buy the years of auto repair experience this man has. Excellent customer service, very approachable, and follows through on all your questions and inquiries. Just a great experience. Wish their were more shops like this.
