Having a great coffee shop in my neighborhood is a perk I did not expect to happen, but it has. Local coffeehouse, 8th and Roast, has graciously extended their expertise in coffee, with some sparkling sodas and various pastries, to the Chestnut Hills neighborhood, near Houston Station and Gabby’s Burgers.
It really is a micro space, but it feels at home. The space is nothing to rave about just yet, but I like the simplicity and the ample window space to view the neighborhood. This is a good touch and go spot for amazing coffee, but sitting down with a friend is still great. In a way, it’s what I have needed in a coffee shop for a while. No crazy frills, just the essentials (wifi isn’t one for me, but they do have it here if that is a must for you).
