Forgot to install one of the security panels in our home. Failed to change the phone numbers that the monitoring service is supposed to call when the alarm is triggered — even though we called them with the updated information twice and sent them the information in writing. So, we ended up with one year of the monitoring service calling the wrong numbers. Police came to our house twice for false alarms b/​c the monitoring service had the wrong numbers. Simmons could have fixed the problem, but first they denied that they should have changed the numbers for us. Then, when confronted with the copies of written communications, they still pig-​headedly didn’t fix the problem or apologize. Everyone makes mistakes, but few businesses handle them so poorly.
Switched our monitoring service to
for only $ 9/​month. Simmons was more than twice as much. It’s been two years of competent and courteous service since we left Simmons. Pick another local company or a national service over these guys, unless you like being treated as if you owe them business and should be honored to overpay for bad service.
