Great service! I called Marquise at 7 PM on a weekday night expecting to get voicemail, BUT one of the owners answered and was able to schedule an appointment for me that night. Brad came out for the appointment and assessed my problem and showed me exactly what was wrong. He said he could fix the issue that day. He didn’t try to oversell me on any additional work or products! Just an honest solution! The price was very competitive, too. Brad was extremely knowledgeable and friendly! I won’t use anyone else for my plumbing needs.

Great experience with these guys. The problem was fairly straightforward, Ron gave me an accurate and reasonable quote and was super friendly and flexible (and around the holidays too!), and got our faucet and valves replaced in under an hour. I really appreciated his advice and will definitely be using Marquise the next time we have something come up — I can’t say enough good things about Ron!

Thank you Ron… for replacing my malfunctioning water heater under warranty and for re-​piping my double 50 gallon water heater setup properly. Ron is a former Marine and family man. This was by far and away the best experience I’ve ever had with a plumber. By way of background, my story begins the night before I called. I walked down to the basement to see significant standing water (not weather related nor a problem that had occurred previously). The next morning I called Marquise Plumbing with little to no insight other than the obvious «I got water where it shouldn’t be.» Ron, who took my call and personally came to fix the problem, was able to give me a brief assessment, based on only my extremely limited knowledge, to allow me to make the informed decision on what next steps may be necessary.
Later that very same day, Ron arrived at my house not only on-​time but in fact BEFORE he initially quoted me to according to my availability. Not only was Ron prompt and professional he was also a genuinely good guy. When he arrived he went straight to work and assessed the problem with more detail. After nearly an hour of service Ron had diagnosed every problem, even those I did not initially discuss on our call, and provided me with comprehensive and affordable (in some cases FREE) solutions to those problems. On the main issue, however, he informed me would not be fixed permanently through what he was capable of doing because it was not a plumbing issue but rather a septic issue as a result of severely grease clogged 1940’s catch basin. Instead of just giving me a quick fix that would fail in a week he provided me with real expert insight so I would not be misinformed or overcharged for the service I actually needed.
It was at this point that, though he had already assessed my issues, confirmed them through some testing and had spent, and explained them to me with demonstrations that Ron stated to me that he does not charge for unneeded services and that his consultation, because of his inability to amend the issue, would be FREE OF CHARGE. In his words, «I don’t operate like that. I’m not that kind of guy.» Not only that, but because he referred me to different industry, he will effectively be turning down my business. It is this level of honesty, integrity, and customer service that differentiates companies in this space. Where I have been charged 300 dollars before for things I could have done myself, Marquise chose not to take advantage of me and instead provided a WOW customer experience. Truly, as long as I live in this house, I will not use another plumbing service.

I called and set up a 2-​hour appointment window with Ron Ross. He called just before the start of that window to give me a better estimate of when they would arrive. This awareness of customer service continued throughout the job. Being retired, I ended up talking to him through most of the job. He’s an interesting and well-​spoken guy.
Ron and his helper showed up on time, assessed the situation and went to work replacing two, leaky 30-​year old outside spigots. The replacements were top quality as was the work. The next day, I ran water through the spigots for two hours and then checked both inside and out. No leaks. So, what does that show? Well, not much in itself — sweating joints is plumbing 101. But the joints were all at right angles and, while the inside shut-​offs that they added in the crawl space could have been oriented in any direction relative to the pipes, they were neatly horizontal to the ground.
As they say, each job is a portrait of the worker. And as a customer, I could not have asked for a better portrait.
And when it came time to settle up, he used an iPad and email, not paper.
It was nice to see a company keeping up with technology, maintaining customer service and doing good work. So simple, so rare. I would call Marquis again without hesitation.

We had some initial scheduling issues with our appointment due to an unavoidable family emergency. The miscommunication left me unhappy. Ron was committed to make things right and take care of his customer. I like how he listened to my concerns and tried his best to remedy the situation. That is my definition of quality. Ron came out and did a great job. He was friendly and very personable. I would definitely use Marquise Plumbing again. Thank you, Ron.

I definitely recommend Marquise Plumbing to anyone who is in need of a plumber. After reading their great reviews on Unilocal I decided to call them to replace an old leaky kitchen faucet. Ron was here the next day, gave me a free estimate before he began the work, and completed the job quickly. Both he and his apprentice were friendly, courteous and professional. I would absolutely use them again for any future plumbing issues.

Just when we got hit with a ton of rain, our sump pump failed. I called one plumber who never even called us back. (It happened to be the night the Blackhawks were playing for the cup). So I went onto Unilocal and picked the first plumber with 5 stars which happen to be Marquise. I spoke with Ron. He immediately told me what I could do temporarily to get the sump pump working until he was able to get out to my house. He came when he said he would, and repaired everything quickly and did a great job. It’s great to have an excellent, trustworthy plumber to call when you need one! I definitely recommend them to my family and friends. Ron was great!

Another great job by Brad who came to save the day! The drop in kitchen sink that came with my new countertops did not line-​up the same way the old one did… who knew, obviously not me. A rework of the supply lines, new valves, rework of the drain lines as well as remaining installation of the sink and faucet I purchased at Menards all performed expertly. Brad has been out several times for other jobs, and I would never, ever call anyone else. He’s my go-​to guy for anything plumbing — friendly, helpful, and a lot of fun to talk to. Thank you Brad for another great job!

Called me back right away … showed up on time … cleaned up after himself and charged a very reasonable rate for the work performed.

I rarely write reviews, and to be honest, it’s generally poor service that motivated me to do so. So, I’m happy to put in a positive plug for Marquise.

Brad at Marquise has been the best, not just as to his work but also as to his helpfulness, friendliness and concern for his customers. I have a special situation in that I am an out of town owner of a rental home. It’s tough finding a contractor under those circumstances. In Brad I found a gem. Brad has always done a great job for me and tried to make everything as easy as possible for me. He’s as good as it gets.

This guy is great. I called and left a message and he called back about an hour later. I had some underground gutter drains that were clogged and/​or broken — there wasn’t much he could do but he was in between jobs and came out anyway just to check it out. He gave me some good advice — helped me locate the breaks, and we talked about some of the other systems in my house. Great guy — I’ll be in touch again for sure.

I highly recommend Brad to anyone with a plumbing need.
After reading Unilocal reviews for local plumbers, I called and left a message. My call was returned within the hour; he was on his way to another customer so he gave me an ETA on when he thought he would be available. He let me know when he was on his way and showed up on time. He was friendly, educated me on the situation, provided me with options, and was quick to fix the problem. I was extremely pleased in my decision to call Brad and will certainly refer him to anyone I know in need of his services.
If you are trying to decide on which plumber to call, definitely give Brad a shot; I doubt you will be disappointed.

Firstly thanks to all of you who have reviewed Brad cause I got to tell you I was not disappointed. Called him in the am and like his voice mail said in an hour he called me back, 30 mins later he was in my home taking a look at my sump pump.
He quoted me a rate for the pump and the battery backup and had all his rates in a well cataloged folder. We agreed and he left to get the product and an hour later back.
He explained everything to me and how it worked and what he was doing etc. It’s kinda amazing how he gets down and dirty cleaning up stuff that I do not think anyone else would have cause really you don’t see some of the stuff buried under the water.
2.5 hours later he was done and cleaned up and out the door. I am highly impressed with his service. Recommended to anyone who wanted not just reasonable pricing but top class service.
He coming back once it all dries to seal it and take a look at some other plumbing needs.

Contacted Brad at Marquise regarding a leaky hose on my dishwasher (which had flooded the kitchen floor and crawl space). He responded quickly and replaced the hose with copper tubing. When I accidentally loosened it by pulling out the dishwasher a few days later, I called Brad and he came over and fixed again for no charge. Very responsive and very reasonable pricing. Would recommend him for any size job.

Called Brad and left a vm in the early afternoon — he called me back later than evening and left me a message. I had already setup an appointment with another plumber, who charged a service call fee, which I wasn’t happy with, but I also figured Marquise would charge this… so I didn’t call Brad back.
Brad then followed up with me the next morning — and I was impressed by that level of follow-​through from a plumber. He was able to email me a quote later in the day to replace our broken washer pan and install a battery backup sump pump — which I thought was for a reasonable price. I was also able to use a couple of coupons from their website.
Brad was prompt at 8am on Monday morning (even though it was crazy cold outside) and had both jobs done pretty quickly. He also took the time to explain and show me what he did so I would understand, which I always appreciate.
Will definitely use them for plumbing needs in the future…

Brad is great to work with. I am a real estate professional and have used him a few times for my clients and have had nothing but honest, cost effective, prompt service. Very important things for me to be able to pass along to my clients.
I haven’t had to use him for my home yet (thankfully) but if/​when I do, he will be the first person that I call. I will never second guess recommending Marquise Plumbing.

I had an excellent experience with Marquis Plumbing recently.
Here’s my story: My double sink in the kitchen backed up and I ended up borrowing a 50 ft rooter from my uncle to clear the line. It worked! Well, it worked for two days before the kitchen sink backed up AGAIN. I thought I must have had a serious problem so on a Sunday night I called Marquis and got a hold of Brad.
I spoke with Brad for nearly 30 minutes and he walked me through the issue logically. I thought I must have a MAJOR issue with my home’s main line and would need to have a professional come out and clear that line from the house to the city sewer line. Brad asked me to check my toilets and bathroom sinks to see if they had any issues — they did not. Brad explained to me that I must have dislodged some «grease» (industry term for all the crud in your pipes) when I used the rooter and it blocked up the kitchen sink again.
Made sense and seemed logical to me. Brad suggested I try again and borrow my uncle’s rooter and this time run it a while — then after a successful run with the rooter, and putting the kitchen sink p-​drip and plumbing all back together, I was coached to fill up both sinks with super hot water and let them drain. The hot water would soften up any of the remaining «grease» (like warming up cold bacon fat) to make it run smoothly down the main line. IT WORKED! It’s been over a month and no issues.
I asked Brad if he did any other plumbing work (work I can actually pay for) and he said he does everything plumbing related. I need all my toilets replaced and I know who I’m going to call. .. the honest guy on the other side of my phone call when I needed a little guidance.
