I went into Spiffy’s donuts this morning at the insistence of my 3 kids to grab some donuts. The donuts were great and the service was great, until the end. The lady helping me thought she’d try to crack a joke using my 9 year old daughter as the butt of it. She asked my daughter if she was a boy or a girl. When that didn’t go over very well, she asked again, and with all of the confused stares and the obvious cultural divide, she thought she should try again. She finally admitted that she was trying to make a joke, as if that would smooth things over and make everybody laugh. My little girl was sad all the way home. This is not a good place. I won’t be back.

Yep, they got quality donuts and a very very strange kitchen scene. Don’t be scared by the odd building, Spiffys will deliver the pastry you deserve. A real slice of America here with real American donuts.

It looks like you’re walking into someone’s house at breakfast time and they are surprised to see you. That said, the donuts were amazing!

Not the fanciest place, but yummmmm on the donuts. Even though they’d just had a big order and were short on donuts, the buttermilk bars we got were warm from the oven and fluffy. Really nice people too.

Visiting the area to see family. Really enjoyed the buttermilk glazed. Great craftsmanship. Owners were very nice and helped us out even though they were working hard to finish up baking for Sunday.

Passing through town by bike, saw a sign for fresh donuts, had to stop. Had an apple fritter and raspberry bear claw. Tasty. Enjoy with some raw goat milk from down the road.
