Michelle «mikee» she did an excellent Work on my hair!!! Ive always been afraid of whom does my hair… yet today I left Shear Design extremely HAPPY!!! She has high experience in years doing hair, (you name it whatever you want done to your hair she can Do It!!) highly recommend her. She is soo sweet and nice, and gives you that special attention. Thank you sooo much Mikee, will see you in 8 weeks.

I’ve been seeing Cathy since I was in high school. Even when I moved to Los Angeles for school, I still come back home to Napa just to get my haircut by her. She’s the best. I’ve tried literally everywhere in my area down in LA, but no one can seem to figure out my weird hair growth patterns. I’ll live and die by her haircuts

The facial I got from Amy at Shear Design was fan-​freaking-​tastic! It was relaxing, (I fell asleep five times), calming (low lights, calming music, soft hands) and my skin has never felt better! I have had problem skin since adolescence and Amy has turned it around! Go visit her, she’s amazing!

I had the best facial I’ve ever had from Amy at Shear Design. It was very a relaxing and pleasant experience all around. In spite of been in the midst of a busy salon I felt like I was on a mini spa retreat get-​away. My skin also appreciated the attention. She’s very competent and professional and a lovely person. I was given a gift certificate for the first visit — but will definitely go back. A great find!

Just be sure you bring cash or check. Product is available for purchase with a credit card. The stylists are paid individually as is standard for salons and don’t take cards.

Amy B knows what she’s doing when it comes to facials. Not only did I get a million and one different soothing cremes put on my face, she talked me through proper skin care in a calming and educational manner. I’ve had problem skin for years, and Amy made my skin look great — reduced discoloration, smoother lines, and blemish control. I bought the exfoliant she recommended and plan on seeing her again in 3 – 4 weeks for another treatment. Good skin, here I come! Thanks Amy!

Amy B. knows her stuff!!! I have been to *SEVERAL* estheticians, and Amy tops them all! She is friendly, professional and extremely talented! My brows have never looked better! I have «difficult» brows, so for her to make mine look fantastic is a huge success! I have never been so *relaxed* during AND after a wax! I highly recommend Amy! You won’t be disappointed!

Made an appointment with an old friend of mine back in Highschool, her name is Dani and I sent her a picture of how I wanted my hair. So I came in yesterday and while she was doing my hair we caught up on so many things! Feels good to have a good conversation while she does my hair at the same time. After about two hours of her finishing up my peekaboos and deep condition… Came out amazing! Absolutely love it and definitely recommend her! MUCH better than the picture I showed her. So ladies, if you need a hairstylist, she is definitely the one.
And by the way, she told me a story of a lady telling her she saw a lot of reviews saying a lot of things about Dani & her day was made… And she saw it and seen nothing and told me how sad she was, haha. So… I hope my review will make her day today!

Went and had my first facial with, Amy today! It was by far the best facial I’ve ever had. I highly recommend anybody looking for a detail oriented facialist who has just the right touch to make an appointment with Amy! I will be going back for sure…

Never have a felt more at ease or taken care of at a salon, other than by Amy Bonfigli!!! Not only does she give AMAZING facials (puts me to sleep EVERYTIME!) but her waxing skills are incredible! Went to Amy for my first Brazilian wax and not only did she make me feel completely comfortable, but she was so quick that I didnt even have time to imagine any pain :) I recommend Amy to ANYBODY and EVERYBODY! Very professional, and prompt with scheduling. You wont be disappointed!

I have been coming to Shear Design for years now every since getting my hair cut by Ms. Andrea Scorza. The attention to detail that Andrea posesses and being able to understand exactely how I want my hair cut every time has been an absolute blessing. I am a middle aged man with thinning hair (That’s hard for me to admit) and she has a style and technic that helps me look my very best.
All of the other staf are all very friendly and wonderful as well. If you have not been here before then I highly suggest you call and make an appointment and you will have a wonderful experience.

I have been coming to get my haircut by Andrea S. for a couple years now. She won me over from my previous hairstylist who was also great but was raising her prices yet again. I met Andrea through a mutual friend and decided to give her a try and the rest is history.
Andrea has always been very cheerful, relaxed, friendly and so easigoing with any changes I ever ask for with my haircuts. She always asks me what I would like her to do, never making any assumptions and makes the whole experience enjoyable as she is also a great conversationalist. Sammy’s review saying she was rude is just not possible, even when I’m repeateadly late time and again trying to arrive after work subject to rush-​hour traffic, she never loses her calm and always greets me with a hug and friendly smile.
I highly recommend you give Andrea a try– I can’t speak for the other stylists but with Andrea, I don’t need to try anyone else.

I started going here last year when I grew my hair out and realized I needed more than just the standard «Great Clips» hair trim, but I had no idea what to do. My hair is thick, kind of curly, and extremely frizzy, so I didn’t think anything could really be done with it to make it look good.
I was happily proved wrong.
A stylist named Andrea layered and textured my hair in ways I didn’t even know were possible. My hair came out shiny, smooth, and frizz free. She also showed me how she did it as she was working so that I could maintain it on my own.
I continue to come here because it’s evident that the owner of this business takes pride in the quality of work his/​her employees provide.
I was disappointed to see the previous negative reviews after I had received such excellent service. Definitely give this place a try. It’s worth it.

Just moved to Napa for work, so I’m in the process of trying to find a right «everything». So far I found the right gym, hospital, food places, etc. I went to Shear to see if I can schedule an appointment for a style hair cut. And this is the response I got.
” Sorry we are not a cheap place like Great Clips.”
I called back and ask for the person name and I guess her name was Andrea.
Andrea was so rude to me over the phone that it ruined my week.

Hair dresser took a check from us, and added $ 100 to it. Never even got an «im sorry». UN professional doesn’t even begin to cover it.

I had a pedicure & manicure from Amber and couldn’t have been more disappointed. The reservationist failed to communicate our agreement for a «mini-​pedi» so I got the bargain of only paying $ 10 over our agreed upon price. In spite of the pedi going first, leaving what I thought would be ample drying time, one toe was destroyed before I reached home, presumably from the repeated touching up which left a wealth of polish.
She oiled my cuticles, but failed to remove all the oil with her alcohol swab, so the manicure lasted less than two days before the edges started peeling.
No apologies from the management who says their «girls» are all independent. Next time I’ll save my $ 90, buy a bottle of nice wine and do a far more professional job myself without the intrusive fluorescent lights, noise, and school-​girl «independent agents.»
