Specialties
Napa Valley boutique winery specializing in private tour and winemaker tastings of Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Sauvignon Blanc.
History
Established in 2012.
Nestled among a collection of some truly ‘Rock Star’ vintners in a conclave of Napa’s urban wineries, Avinodos is the next generation of producers to carry the torch for the iconic status of premium Napa Valley wines. Our winemaker Gustavo Brambila’s career stretches nearly 40 vintages; is highlighted by 23 years at Grgich Hills and celebrity status to most ‘Bottle Shock’ fans, besides carrying most recently his successful independent label — Gustavo Wine.
Avinodos is owned by Gustavo’s son, Lorin, who grew up in the vineyards of Napa County. Along with Lorin, the ‘dos’ equation is completed by co-owner Dan Dexter. Growing up amongst the farm fields in Illinois that Dan’s family has owned since being homestead in 1836, the agriculture roots in this duo grow long and deep.
Our production is small but don’t miss this chance to get in on the ground floor with what’s sure to become Napa’s next superstar producer. Any visit to our winery is guaranteed to be intimate.
Meet the Business Owner
Dan D.
Business Owner
Dan Dexter grew up amid 400 acres of grain fields farmed by four generations of Dexters in Toulon, Ill. Dan grew up in a family where farming isn’t just a career, but a way of life. A family that values hard work and doing what’s right — values that Dan still carries today. Growing up on a farm also planted the seeds for Dan to one day «be his own boss.»
While working for a biotech company, Dan met Lorin Brambila. The two men became fast friends, finding common ground over their shared agricultural background, their mutual interest in wine, and their entrepreneurial drive. Lorin, who was involved in winemaking through his father, Gustavo, eventually invited Dan to help with a grape harvest. That first experience felt invitingly familiar to Dan, and it reignited his connection to agriculture. As the friendship grew, Dan and Lorin began sharing a vision of producing wine, and Avinodos was born.
