Took payment, no show, no call, no response.
I purchased their voucher of 3-​hour cleaning service through Morgan’s Deal in May 2013. When I called owner Crystal, she sounded very nice. We’ve set up appointment for cleaning on ¹¹⁄₀₁ 9am. 3 days before the appointment, I tried to confirm with her through phone, text, and email. She didn’t reply any. On ¹¹⁄₀₁ morning, no show, no call, no surprise.
I paid Morgan’s Deal for the voucher, so I called Morgan’s Deal for refund. Morgan’s Deal said the vendor (Crystal @ Keep Austin Klean) was paid for the voucher. Unless Crystal return payment to Morgan’s Deal, I can’t get refund.
I tried numerous times to contact Keep Austin Klean in past 5 weeks. There was once that Crystal answered my call. She promised to return payment to Morgan’s Deal the next day. 3 weeks has pasted, she has not returned the payment, nor got back to me.

I booked them for this Wednesday at 1:00 for a deep clean, which they had to reschedule (15 minutes after they were supposed to be there) for the next day. The next day, they had to push us back an hour, then they were late an hour on top of that.
The deep clean is supposed to be 4 man hours. They showed up at 3. I left the place to them and told them to call me when they were wrapping up. Crystal called me at 4:30 and told me they had about 15 mins left. Of course, they were standing outside with their car packed when I pulled up at 4:40.
I realized soon after I got into the house why they greeted me outside. It’s just… Bad. Very, very bad. $ 85 represents a whole day’s work for me and I wanted the apartment to be clean when my in-​laws came to town this weekend. I have at least an hour and a half to clean up on top of what they did.

I bought a coupon to have my house cleaned. Three hours for 45. No one showed up for the appt. no one called and no one will answer the phone when I call. I sent a email but doubt I will get a reply after I read reviews. Note to others, read reviews first. If they don’t want to do the work, they should not participate in these programs. I don’t know how they stay in business and maybe if people read reviews they won’t. According to reviews, they didn’t do much cleaning when they did show up. have calledAaD pages for a refund. I don’t even want to deal with trying to set up appt. if they should ever call to offer that.

I wish I could put no stars for this business. Like everyone else that has reviewed this place I bought a deal (from Austin V.I.P. Gifts, a subsidiary of Morgan’s deals) and made an appointment for them to come clean the house. The appointment was for a Wednesday afternoon at 3 p.m. They never showed, never called to say they were going to be late, and I never received a call back from the voicemail I left. In fact, it appears that my calls are being purposely ignored because every time I call it goes to voicemail. However when I called the first time to make my appointment my call was answered promptly. In my opinion this company should not be in business as it is completely unprofessional. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

WARNING! Read these reviews before you use them! I wish I had. I learned the hard way. They are unprofessional & will not answer the phone or call you back.
I highly suggest you not only read the actual customer reviews but look for the ones where the owner responds & notice how she has endless excuses or calls her customers liars. I find it hard to believe 12 of 13 people felt strongly enough about their experience to take the time to review it with 1 star, but strangely enough it was never the fault of the Klean people. It is always the customer that was wrong or misunderstood, (or lying). It’s laughable that she doesn’t seem to see the pattern of bad reviews has a recurring theme. It is glaringly obvious in all that they are horrible at their business management and communication.
Personally, I can’t even review the service because they have never actually done any cleaning for me. I have left at least 4 messages over the past 3 – 4 weeks, and for some reason they will not call me back. I had a prepaid Living Social voucher to redeem before it expired & have been trying to make an appointment for it for the past month but they won’t answer the phone or call me back. It sounds like from the other reviews that it wouldn’t matter because they apparently don’t show up anyway.
It’s infuriating to be completely ignored, so Unilocal is not my last stop. I’m looking for every Austin review site possible to warn people to stay away & also contacting the BBB.
I’m curious to see if I get a response from her on mine & what kind of excuse I’ll get. I bet it’s something like… «someone» was supposed to notify you we couldn’t honor it or we will go out of business, — oh, but we’re going to go ahead & keep the money you already paid because the voucher deadline expired. Oh wait… it expired because we were careful not to call you back to make an appointment until it expired so we can STEAL your money & not do any work.

I have to concur with the negative experiences with Keep Austin Klean. I wasn’t upset that they were busy, but rather with their lack of communication. They failed to respond to my phone messages left one and two days before the scheduled cleaning, or email sent the same day. I find the June 28 explanation that «Due to the deal for 50% off cleaning services and it being so popular, we had to cancel all coupons» to be unconvincing, since I see now that there were similar complaints on Unilocal months before the Moolala offer I purchased. Beyond that, the offer (which is displayed by Unilocal as I write this) which was responded to is not for 50% off, but for less than 25% off ($ 30 off of $ 125). Perhaps if they worked with only one offer site, and satisfied those customers, they would keep enough of the clients that they wouldn’t need to move to another.

Short answer — DO NOT USE!!! Long explanation — On May 28, 2013 there was a deal for $ 95 at Keep Austin Klean for three hours of deep cleaning. I read some of the reviews online and then called the owner, Crystal, to ask her about those reviews and the issues that seemed to cause customers problems. She explained them and suggested I get on the schedule for a few weeks out and said it wouldn’t be a problem for them to keep my appointment if it was in advance. After discussing my house and what I wanted, she suggested I purchase two of the deals so I would be sure to get my entire house cleaned. I scheduled for today, June 25 from 12:30 — 3:30, which meant 3 hours with 2 cleaners.
The day before my appointment I called and when it wasn’t answered, I left a message requesting that she confirm the appointment for the following day. I told her if her schedule was too tight and she needed to reschedule to call me and see if we could work something out. I never heard anything. I held out a little hope that someone would arrive today at 12:30 and it is now 1:05 — no one is here. And, I haven’t heard from Crystal to say they would be late, needed to reschedule, etc. I have left several messages — after her phone goes straight to voicemail — and am really unhappy! I spent the better part of yesterday getting stuff put away so the house could be cleaned. I also arranged for my 4 kids to be out of the house during the appointment time.
I have never seen a business that relies on word of mouth be so unprofessional. If she would have called me to reschedule, explain a delay, etc. I would understand. But to not even answer a call from a customer when you should be at their house is terrible customer service, or lack thereof.
If it was possible to do zero I would do zero stars… absolutely awful experience and they didn’t even clean my house.

They did not show for the appointment scheduled only a few days earlier. I called and called and called and emailed them but they did not respond. They do not answer their phone you MUST leave a voicemail only. Seems like they get very negative reviews, should have seen this before I purchased the Moolala voucher special. I cancelled important meetings to be there for the appointment, do not waste your time. I would not recommend them at all.
You would not have to «screen» your calls if you were a true professional. Word of mouth is crucial in your business and you are losing potential customers handling them the way you do. You even got bad reviews on the services you did show up for, so why would anyone consider being a full price customer? You could have told me you were not honoring vouchers when we set up the appt. only 3 days earlier, geez!

Guess I should have Unilocaled this business before I bought the recent Moolala voucher, because it seems like I’m in the same boat as everyone else. Service was scheduled for yesterday, but they didn’t show, despite three phone calls from me. I read in the owner’s response to another Unilocal review that they couldn’t honor the vouchers because they would go out of business if they did; I think they definitely deserve to go out of business.

Bought 2 vouches from Austin VIP for this Cleaning company. It’s a Husband and wife team who are completely useless. I scheduled an appointment for last Friday before Memorial Day weekend since we had guest visiting us. Called them in the morning and they confirmed they were coming at 4pm. Nobody shows up that evening. We waited until 5pm and called them. They made up some excuses about why their staff didn’t show up. We ended up cleaning the house at the last minute before the guest arrived.
Fast forward and we scheduled them to come today. They didn’t even finish the work and half way thru started rushing to pack up. I told them they haven’t finished the 1.5 hour and lot of work still needed to do. The lady says that she needs to get to her next appointment and can’t be late. Really? What about the customer you are working for right now? The husband hardly did any work and stayed in the kitchen wasting time. When we complained about calling to cancel the voucher, the husbands starts arguing with my wife. These guys have no sense about customer service. Stay away from this cleaning crew. And what kind of cleaning company sends a man to clean the kitchen? When these two showed up, we were little suspicious right from the beginning. Half way thru they left without completing the house cleaning.
I wish I’d read the other reviews before I bought the vouchers. I have already called Austin VIP for a full refund for services not rendered.

Purchased a voucher on Living Social and have an appointment in FIVE days. Just received a notice that they’re no longer honoring vouchers and I had to have a refund. I scheduled this appointment almost two months ago.
Incredibly angry right now and a major loss for these people, as I was trialing them as I look for a company to start cleaning my house 2x+ per month. I had told myself if they did a good job I’d use them from now on even though they’re a little pricier than some. Major fail.

Very pleased with the work they did, especially as I know they were covering for a failed Morgan’s Deal situation and under pressure to fit everyone into their schedule. I like the eco-​friendly products and systems they use, and their cost is very reasonable.

So, after purchasing a deal from Living Social in December, I called to schedule a cleaning on December 17, 2012. Crystal told me the first available was on ²⁄₂₈. She called me yesterday (2÷26÷13, and said that something had come up and she would have to reschedule to Saturday. I called her back to say that I was okay with that, but I’m having company on Sunday, and it needed to be a sure thing for Saturday. She called me at 7:02pm tonight (2÷27÷13), and stated that I needed to contact Living Social for a refund because «it just isn’t worth it to me, because they only pay me $ 22.50 for each house.»
Unprofessional, to say the least. She had no compassion, didn’t offer an apology, just was very rude on the phone, repeating that I needed to call Living Social.
DO NOT SCHEDULE WITH HER!

Booked an appointment near Christmas since I’d been sick. Husband and wife team. They were late, but I didn’t mind that. They rushed through to make their next appointment that they missed a lot.

Terrible experience. I made a confirmed appointment two weeks ago with Keep Austin Klean. It was for a cleaning before I had renters arriving for the ACL Festival. Well, Crystal called a few hours before the scheduled service to say she would be an hour late. Then, an hour later she called to ask to reschedule! Well, since I had guests arriving that day, rescheduling wouldn’t do me any good.
She admitted that because of the Morgan’s Deals they had signed up for, they were booked really tightly with not any room for extra time or error. She also said that she herself didn’t even realize, until they got to the clean before mine, that it was a deep clean requiring extra time. How does the owner of the company not know that?
This put me in a HUGE bind, as I had a big work project due and my house guests arriving that afternoon. I had to drop everything to clean myself, at the last minute.
Unprofessional, and bad bad customer service. I should also mention that they were going to charge an additional $ 5 «gas fee» which was not mentioned in the deal. Not cool. Any extra costs should be mentioned, otherwise it’s not exactly the «deal» that you think it is. I would never recommend this company.

They cleaned the 5 years of grime out of the bathtub, which bleach wouldn’t even touch!
My boyfriend utilized this service and got his whole 1K deposit back!
