I watched a Monster Jam truck show here. It was as redneck as I wanted it to be and I have no regrets.

Myrtle Beach Speedway is the best! They host the annual NOPI Nationals Supershows, the Annual Mustang Week Burnout Track Day, and other vehicle shows. Great Place!

Best experience of my life ! I was so nervous at first to go in the race car. Everything was great and fun experience. Got to take pictures on my own camera. Brought a shirt. The driver was awesome. Some how we didn’t find the entrance and ended up driving onto the track entrance haha. Never thought I be climbing in and out of windows to get in and out of a car

Classic NASCAR home track! You will see drivers trying to make it out here so you will see hard racing for sure! NASCAR legends have raced here including Dale Sr. and Harry Gant!

My family attended the Wheels of Destruction Thrill Show while vacationing in the area. Good family fun that is a bit corny. My 5 y.o. loved it as did my husband. :) First up were a pair of drifters. They selected someone from the audience to ride-along in one of the cars. I’ve never seen drifting in person — it was pretty cool. I was amazed that they did not crash into anything — each other, the sidewalls, or the guy on the center of the track. Next was bus racing. I was hoping for more demo derby, but it was just a race. There was a little bumpage; it was underwhelming. There were also a pair of motorcyclists performing stunts, motor cross guys performing jumps, Nascar style racing(with two people from the audience riding along), three BMW’s that drove one thisclosetogether, a dude on the hood of a car crashing head first through a flaming plywood barrier and a pipe-rail jump. The last two were really cool. The entertainment was worth the price of the tickets. If you’re in the area on a Wednesday and you’re looking for something to do — then check it out.

The Myrtle Beach Speedway is where the Nascar Racing Experience in Myrtle Beach takes place. Basically, you pay a few hundred dollars to get the true experience of driving a Nascar vehicle. I bought one of these packages for my dad’s 60th birthday vacation and was not impressed. The track and facility: The track itself is pretty old and rundown. It is about a half mile track, so about a third of the length of most of the other tracks. This means you can only go up to around 85MPH in the race car around the track. I go faster in my Hyundai on the freeway. In case of rain, I was told that there were blowers to get moisture off the track and allow drivers to race, but this track does not have those. The nascar safety video you watch beforehand pretty much doesn’t apply — it is for larger tracks where you get to go faster. The facility where they give you the safety presentation is a garage with folding chairs and a TV mounted behind the cars. The suits and helmets looked pretty worn and dirty. There is a gift shop /shack where you can buy t-shirts. Scheduling and staff: Scheduling was sub-par. The initial scheduling was ok, but once we arrived in Myrtle Beach and got closer to the date of the drive, it looked like thunderstorms. I called to see if we could move it from Saturday to Friday because we were leaving Sunday and were told that within 30 days there is a lock on your appointment time. So if it rained they would just have us go the next available day, which would have been impossible since my parents would be back in NY. We ended up having a fairly clear day, so we were able to go at our scheduled time, but I was pretty disappointed with the customer service. The one bright spot was the track employees — they were very friendly and knowledgeable and really there was nothing they could do about the facilities — it is just really old and outdated. My dad was happy with the experience, but overall, I was pretty underwhelmed. I might give the Nascar Racing Experience another try, but not at this track.
