First and last visit. Dive bar but for me wasn’t the good kind. On a Friday night there as an attempt to make it a dance club — but it was one of those places where no one was dancing. Total buzz kill.

Best bar food I’ve had. Wings were GREAT and curly fries were seasoned perfect. Beers were cold and they let me act like the drunken idiot I am when Florida State football games are on haha. Scott was the bartender and he was great. Will go back anytime I’m in myrtle. Definitely recommend.

Loved this hole in the wall! The hubby n I went there while on vacation at myrtle. $ 2 draft specials n other HH drink specials were great. We ordered wings which were really good — loved their medium flavor. I also tried their steamed oysters which were super cheap on HH menu — very good! Hubby ordered buffalo chicken wrap n it was gone in 5 min — little greasy but what hole in the wall isn’t!!! I recommend it n would def go back.

I’m not a football person myself but man is this a stealers bar. If you didn’t know who they were before you’ll know by the time you get out of here. We went here for the first time on st patty’s. Wait staff kept us waiting which I found pretty typical for myrtle beach so we decided to sit at the bar. The two reasons this doesn’t get 5 stars from me is the smoking!!! Second Irish bar and no Guinness on tap? I think that alone is reason to knock a star off and yes I agree with the other review catering to old folks. I’m going to put it like my fiancé did. Best bar food ever. buffalo shrimp!!! The bartenders were on it and friendly even though the waitresses weren’t. Definitely go back for the food.

We were sadly disappointed by our annual visit to Murphy’s this year. We went there on Thursday to take in a few beers and the draft. The problem was they refused to put the draft on as the Penguins game was on. Now I understand Murphy’s is a «Pittsburgh» bar and I respect that. But out of the 15+ TVs in the place, I couldn’t believe they wouldn’t put one TV on the draft. Not even one of the little ones. After we realized they wouldn’t put the draft on for us, by the time we settled our tab in a mad rush, found another bar that had the draft on(saved by the nearby Back Deck), we had missed several picks. We still love the wings and other food at Murphy’s, but it doesn’t seem to be as friendly to out-of-towners like us as it has been in past years. Sadly this seems to be a trend at a lot of the Myrtle Beach area bars. I guess if catering to the locals is what it takes to survive in today’s economy, I can’t fault them. Maybe I’ll just need to work on my fake southern accent…
