Caribbean Resort & Villas

We had a great experience the last time we stayed here. Hoping our stay this time proves to be better than the check-​in process has been. Not pleased at all that we arrive to check in at posted check-​in time and room is not ready! Further more, there Is a line out the door from the lobby waiting to check in because of rooms not being ready.

Just spent a week here with my family who meets us half way once a year. We normally rent a house but decided this would be a pleasant change. House keeping, cheaper attractions, many pools and a slide for the kids. while still having the full kitchen to prep meals in and the privacy of our own rooms. But lets say next year we will be back in the house.
Pros: Rooms are clean, Staff was friendly when you interacted with them, great restaurant next door and it’s conventionality located.
Cons: Hard bed and old sheets (thank goodness I could open the patio door to hear the ocean or I would have never slept), you have to ask for the slide to be open and that takes forever, the lovely aroma of weed as the rooms around you party, the cover to the door lock was taped on with electrical tape and later fell off, utility room door was broken, microwave was broken, Dishes to cook with are a joke! Three pots and a few spoons and a knife so dull I couldn’t even cut my finger if I tried. We were told all our family would be on the same floor (even called two weeks prior to double check) only to have us on the 11^th floor and the other family on the 20^th. We saw housekeeping only 3 days out of the 6 we stayed. On our last day I called twice to the front desk for toilet paper and towels and eventually just waked down to get it after waiting 2 hours. There was no extra activities for the kids so some resorts do. Also the price wasn’t even cheaper than what we pay to rent a private home for the week.
This really was one of the worst place I have stayed at. Oh sure we got a $ 100 back for the lack of housekeeping but it was so much more than just that. If you are looking for a small place to party and hang out for a weekend then go for it, if you actually plan on spending time and cooking more than some mac n cheese consider going somewhere else.

First time in the state and had an awesome vacation! This hotel did beyond expectations. Had a beautiful view in the Jamaican Tower and love that I could enjoy the pool and beach at the same time. There are other towers that maybe better suites that are spread out which I find interesting. A plus is you have access to all 4 pools and I believe cayman tower have the lazy river. Oh yeah I enjoy that a lot! The people doing service were sweet. They actually spend time with the guests and make sure everything is well even if there is a wait. Our tower’s pool was ok. Had one of the housekeeping lady that had a bad attitude at first but later on at the end of our vaca as we’re about to leave turned out pretty sweet by helping my friend with her charger, so I guess she had a bad day. But we got the charger back! Yah!!! Overall it was a pleasure being at Caribbean Resort!!!

We’ve stayed here several times off-​season: great value off-​season, don’t know about in– season.
Dominican Tower has older, smaller rooms: adequate if you expect to be out most of the time (2 star), and we like waking up to the ocean view we get when we fold down the Murphy bed in the small suites there.
This trip we splurged on on ocean-​front 2br in the Cayman bldg, which is much, much nicer (4 star). Big rooms, full kitchen, incredible view out our 18^th floor king BR and living room.
Haven’t stayed in the Jamaican tower but it appears to be in disrepair (1 star).
Chelsea is across the street with little or no ocean view — looks nice from the outside, but I have no idea what it’s like inside. So if reviews here appear to be for different buildings, then maybe that’s because they are!
Staff appear to be minimum wage, nicer than some but not what you’d see in a 5-​star resort. Our rooms have always been clean, towels clean but sometimes somewhat frayed. when you check in, make sure everything works, and if it’s broken report it immediately.
In the winter (before March) look for the rate package with the excellent free breakfast buffets at the Sea Captain next door — great value!

Disgusting place for decent families and kids. Drunks everywhere including in the pools spilling their drinks all over, half dressed, loud and throwing up. Not ONE employee enforces any rule nor says anything to them. I am totally embarrassed and regret driving the distance to come here for a family getaway. I could not take my eyes of of my kids for a second because of how unsafe it was. Trashy clientele! We will never come back!

After booking my family vacation over the phone, I was very disappointed to see our accommodations for the week. The Chelsea House is very outdated and should be condemned for health reasons! There was mold, rust, dust, bugs, dirty dishes, stained carpets, and filth in every room! We had to clean and bleach everything before touching it! The bedroom closet doors were off the hinges and the deck off one of the bedrooms was leaning, so it seemed unsafe! And to top it off, one of our vehicles was hit while parked in the small lot.
This place is not worth the price advertised! While the pool, lazy river and hot tubs were decent, there are screaming kids and drunk adults everywhere! The staff seem unbothered by the guests regardless if they are abiding by rules or not. I will never stay at this resort again.

Besides the location there is nothing special about THIS place! The rooms are Extremely outdated & DIRTY! Their answer to get rid of the ROACHES is to Spray after we changed rooms twice already! The cleaning staff needs to be retrained! Vacuum KITCHEN tile floors is considered cleaned!!!
I honestly would not stay again AND even worse I can’t wait to go home! Its sad as this was suppose to be our family vacation! We have been sleeping w/​the lights on in attempt to keep the critters away! The rooms are out dated & DO NOT LOOK BEHIND ANYTHING! Wash all utensils & dishes before using. In all honesty I wish we didnt spend $ 150 on grocercies! This «resort» Could be so much better if the people working here gave a damn! They’re looking at us like we’re crazy!!!
Its been anything but great! I’m counting the days til we leave. All of myrtle beach is booked solid, so we can’t leave. I honestly have considered sleeping in the car! NEVER AGAIN. SAVE YOUR TIME, ENERGY & UR FAMILY GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!

ROACHES!!!, WATER BUGS!!! the staff walks right passed garbage bags in the hallways. They clean horribly. Trashy clientele. Don’t get me wrong fine people as myself get mixed into the equation. I wanted to book North Beach Plantation and they were booked. So they pawned off there «sister» company. RED HEADED BUG INFESTED STEPCHILD SISTER IT WAS!!! Made my Myrtle beach experience horrible while I was in the room… Slept with one eye open … NEVER AGAIN! The rooms are outdated and the place is just YUCK … Oh wait… The air conditioner works good… grrrrrrr

don’t mind all the bad reviews!
we came to myrtle beach after 8 – 9 hours of driving from Maryland around 10am. we knew we couldn’t check in but they still gave us parking pass, bracelets for the amenities and towel pass.
we came back around 1pm for registration but they kindly told us the room was ready so we got into the room early too!
we were in the Dominican tower, ocean front double bed suite, all the way at the end of the building but the view was still amazing. we were on the 7^th floor and we could see the outdoor pools and the water.
the room was spacious, big enough for all five, and I think we could’ve fit at least two more.
only bad thing is that the hotel is pretty far from the boardwalk (by walking). but I liked it because the beach was not as crowded.
workers are very pleasant to work with so I didn’t have a problem with them either.
I had my doubts because of all the bad reviews but I think this is going to be a very nice vacation.
tips: if you are staying in one of the suites with kitchen, make sure you bring paper towels! also bring your own shampoo and such.

This hotel is terrible!!! My family got stuck in the elevator and the fire department had to get them out. We were treated terribly with the front office manager. We had to call corporate!!! They did help some but my daughter is terrified to get in an elevator now. We were on the 3^rd floor which was
Horrible. The price is crazy!!! Especially no good view on the 3^rd floor!!! 4 bedroom condo should better than that!!! We have stay here for year. Guess what it was our last!

Awesome hotel! Great view of the beach, very clean and affordable! :) pool is clean and warm great for kids and close to everything you would need!

This was a great resort. We were a little skeptical when we booked being that it was half the cost of other resorts and hotels in the area but it was awesome.
We reserved a 2 bedroom condo unit for the week (a group golf trip) and the room was fantastic. A full view of the Atlantic, kitchen, and all amenities we required. We will for sure return on our next trip.
Seems good for families (pools, lazy river, etc) all open til midnight.
If the price is right give it a try.

Amazing! Stayed in a 4 bedroom, fully loaded kitchen condo for 2 nights! Wish we could have been there longer. It was clean and very cozy! We had an ocean front view on the top floor and it was incredible!

Two stars for great location. It is not too far from downtown and is literally right on the beach. Pool is heated so that is a plus. Parking is right across the street, a little bit cramped but convenient.
Neg: Pool can be crowded with kids. Noise level is constant until midnight (I stayed on 15^th floor!!). Check-​in process takes forever.
Now to be fair, I stayed at Dominican tower which is older. It comes with kitchenette and all utensils etc. Carpet is old and dirty. My feet turned black after walking around the room for two hours. Furniture is older and cheap… probably close to Motel6 level.
Going back? May be Cayman tower but there are many options around here.

Last minute trip. There was a Canadian conference so I booked through the 1855 number and it was a big mistake. I wanted a room in the main tower and when I arrived they were sold out. The front desk was not sure why they even told me it was available. I took the room I was assign. The next morning the manager gave me a discount on my second night since it was sold out off room preference. I will stay again but will not deal with the reservation off property.

What a wonderful hotel! Absolutely great for kids and families!!! There is a lazy river, pool and hot tubs both indoors and out. If the indoor pools get too crowded in the winter just head outside to the heated pools! The rooms are great too. Even the murphy bed was comfortable. You can rent dvds for free as well. There is also a seafood restaurant right next door if you get hungry. The only two problems I had were that the indoor kiddie pool was FREEZING!!! And the man who checked us in was rude. I called the night before to make sure that they got my reservations and when we got there he was asking why our confirmation codes did not match and made a stink about it. If our name matches, our room matches and it is paid for with the same card what is the problem? All in all this hotel was one of the best I have stayed in with my family.

GREAT HOTEL. I stayed in the 3 bedroom oceanfront condo for 10 days, its located in the cayman tower. VERY spacious, had everything from utensiles, washer/​dryer, dishwasher, stainless steel appliances. They have 3 buildings the jamaican, dominican, and they cayman. The cayman is the best of them all. Staff eas very courteous and friendly. Will definitely be returning within the next month or 2.
P. s. not to sound like the caribbean ambassador but i see all the negative comments. But its all in which tower your in. If u stay in an older tower (jamaica tower) you should expect a bad smell, smoke odor, etc. You get what you pay for. Dont be cheap, spend the extra money and reserve in the CAYMAN TOWER. very upscale.

One word: ROACHES! I came out in the morning to discover a nasty site of many roaches crawling on the kitchen counter top.
The staff sent an exterminator, but I still saw the roaches crawling around that evening and the next morning. They promised me some compensation…$ 50 off my next stay (as if I would come again?)
I stayed an entire week, with my golf group, and this soured my stay (close up my bags and secure the food!) Couldn’t they have offered more?
I expressed my displeasure with the offer. The staff promised to contact me, but never did.

In all the years I’ve been going to Myrtle Beach this is the best place I’ve stayed yet. The price was more than reasonable for the size of the rooms, quality of customer service, and convenience of location. We were there for about a week and enjoyed the stay very much.
The room was very spacious. We walked in to the main bed room with a King bed, then into the alley kitchen with a bathroom off to the side, and then into the living room with it’s own door, a nice TV, a pullout couch, and a queen bed that pulls down from the wall, and then of course our ocean view balcony. Everything we well maintained and clean. The TVs were dated of course but we weren’t at the beach to watch TV so that didn’t really matter much to us. The bathroom was small but big enough for what we needed it for. There was an issue with the shower as it made a loud «helicopter» type of noise every once in a while during a shower. We phoned the front desk about it and within 10 minutes someone was up there to take a look at it. Even though the problem was «unfixible» I was impressed with the response time and customer service. The noise continued but it wasn’t that bad and instead became more of a joke.
This place is literally 5 minutes from Broadway at the Beach which was amazing for us. The only area I didn’t care for too much would be the loading and unloading zone in the front of the main entrance. It was very small, cramped, and congested the majority of the time. We decided it would be easier to just carry all of our stuff across the street into the parking garage instead of fighting the crowd in the loading zone.
When we go back to MB we will be staying here.

Came by REALLY early yesterday, and anticipated not being able to check in until 3pm like stated, but they were able to get our room ready and have us be able to check in at 9:30am, so 5 stars for awesome customer service!
However, the room was not as great as I had hoped. It had an odd smell to it, and turning the AC off was never ideal, so I constantly had to keep the room cold to rid it’s odor.
The bed also was not as comfy as I would of liked.
The view is awesome though, and all the pools and lazy rivers were quite enjoyable and relaxing.
We were barely ever in our rooms, but had a great stay! Parking right across the street was definitely convenient too.
Ocean-​front hotel, too! So you’ll always have a great view of the ocean~
