Vital Image Photography

Unfortunately, I did not have a good experience with Rich at Vital Image.
It became very apparent from the beginning of the process that our wishes (the parents of the groom) were not appreciated nor considered. When our beautiful bride and groom relayed our concerns about the amount of time pictures would require, they were told by Rich to «convince them».
I’ve heard people caution that the photographer can ruin the day by taking control of it and keeping the bride and groom busy all day. While he couldn’t ruin this wonderful day for us, he definitely stole my memories with my son and my new daughter (in-​law) as I barely saw them.
While the venue followed the schedule, Rich did not, so the guests were seated for dinner and the bridal party was to enter the reception. but they didn’t…for 20 minutes. It was very apparent that Rich believes the day is all about him and he took control from beginning until the end.
In the end, the pictures (over 1,000 of them) were not cropped, were not centered and do not look professional. There are only a couple of pictures of the bride and groom together that I can use in a frame but they need to be photoshopped to take out background items (a trash can for one). So after 1,000 pictures and delays in the schedule due to Rich taking more pictures, the picture I am framing is one taken by a guest.
I’m disappointed in the final product and could never recommend this photographer.

My sister had them do her wedding photos, DJ, Photo booth (a must have as the guests loved it and they provided a keepsake book that night!), shuttle, etc. They were awesome! Trish was extremely organized and friendly. Her assistant (I forgot her name) was also great! We also had Larry who was super nice and good to work with as well. The whole package deal (which is a bit pricey) is well worth it. We felt well taken care of and I think the photos are going to turn out great. We took lots, and I mean LOTS, of pictures. The only negative I have to say is that we started taking pictures around noon and we were still taking pictures several hours later, so were were all exhausted. It just seemed like a lot, but I’m sure there will be a huge variety of photos for my sister and her husband. I would highly recommend them for a wedding.

Unfortunately we can not leave a positive feedback about Vital Image Photography, the reason being is that at the time of delivering the pictures it took way more than the agreed 10 business days, it actually took about 25 business days, when asked for a status we were given some answers that were truly hard to believe: «the system is down, I sent you and e-​mail didn’t you get it?, I sent the USB on the mail didn’t you get it? etc. etc.» as adults we could have handled other response, however not lies.
On a positive note, Rich (our photographer) has a fun personality, it makes people feel at ease, he is a bit too egocentric for my taste (groom), and tells a lot of stories of how he saved the day, which it wasn’t too bad for me, until he couldn’t deliver the actual product on time, then it became just words.
Overall, the photography is good quality, he will problem solve the day of, if you are going to hire them, it might be a good investment of your money if you are willing to take the chance to get the pictures delivered when they please.

I took my son here for his newborn photos. The actual photo shoot went well but then a few weeks went by and I never heard anything back. So I followed up… twice. Then after a lot of phone calls and rude customer service (I was even asked if I was sure this is where my pictures were taken) it turned out they «lost» my photos. I guess they never saved them and the files were gone forever. They did offer to retake them but now it was three weeks later… my son was no longer a newborn. I’m sure to them I was just another client and they figured they could smooth it over with a retake but this was an important moment in my families life and they just tossed away. Unless they have a time machine a retake wouldn’t cut it so I opted for a refund. I would suggest finding a more reliable photographer that won’t «lose» your photos and make sure to follow up ASAP if you don’t hear from them.

Let me just preface this review by saying this is only for the Boudoir session I received with Larry. I was very uncomfortable the entire time during our session and it was obvious that he was really prepared for the shoot as he was scrambling around at the last minute. I really wish I would have saved my money, or at least went with someone else for Boudoir.

Everything was perfect and the attendant was great and incredibly patient at the end with all the guests trying to get last min pics. We loved our scrapbook and it was a real hit at the wedding.

First the good–
I was very happy with Rich and his team at the beginning he was extremely helpful and took his time to answer any questions I had.
I used him for my engagement party, photo booth, and paid for an engagement «couple» photo shoot. Where we were supposed to pick a place where we wanted them done.
At the party he was very nice and respectful of all guests.
Now the bad…
When I got my pictures I wanted to cry. It looked like a child was running around with a camera taking random pictures. There were no pictures of me and fiancé while we made our grand entrance. (Only one from a far which wasn’t focused) and the rest where just awful angles. To top
It he ONLY edited a FEW pictures! They just did not look professional and I was very disappointed. Even other people that seen them where very shocked. So I had to waste more of my time and money to have another photographer edit them. Which helped a little.
When my fiancé tried calling him after he sent us the pictures, he would not return his calls, and still has not done our couple photoshops that we had already paid for! I don’t even want it anymore after seeing how awful the photos were. I just think that was extremely unprofessional.
The photo-​booth was nice though, and met my standards. Just proceed with caution if you’re hiring them for an event!
