We Offer a Self Service Dog Wash and Full Service Grooming. We groom cats too!

We use all natural, biodegradable shampoos and professional grooming techniques for all breeds of dogs and cats. Our team of dedicated animal lovers believe that a well-​groomed pet is a happy pet that will be a source of pride and joy for its owner.

Our salon is a clean and friendly environment. We combine artistry, technique, and knowledge to provide the best possible spa experience for your pet.

Appointments are not required for self service, but are recommended. Please arrive at least 30 minutes before closing for access to the self service area.

Business Owner

Emma Bekker, the owner, has been grooming professionally for over twenty years. She has been working with animals her whole life and loves what she does. For several years, she had bred and shown poodles. This gave her the ability to perfect her grooming skills. When Emma lived in Europe, she owned and operated a pet grooming salon. When she moved to the United states, she opened her first grooming location in Cardiff By The Sea. That salon is one of the top rated grooming salons in San Diego County. Emma’s love for animals motivated her to open up another location in Murrieta. She decided to add self service to this location to be able to satisfy everybody’s wants and needs. We hope that everyone enjoys our clean, friendly environment and finds our services satisfactory.

I was referred to Grooming Tails for my special needs dog. Emma, the owner was very confident and reassuring that she and her groomers could manage our dog. We are delighted with our first visit and for the extra attention that was given to our dog. We live in Menifee but will now be making the drive to Grooming Tails. Fantastic staff trained and supervised by owner Emma.

Staff is very friendly here, they were great with my little girl who gets very skittish at vets/​groomers
I called before hand and they were able to fit me in same day which is great !
The place is clean and seems well kept which is comforting
I had my dog get a bathing treatment and when I picked her up she smelled great! I was very happy with how well bathed she was.
I’m only taking off a star because later that day the owner called me to explicitly tell me that they charged me $ 2 less than they should have and just to pay the $ 2 next time. Really? You’re going to get on me about $ 2!!! I gave a decent tip, I’m assuming she could’ve taken it out is that. I just thought this was tacky, especially seeing as it wasn’t my fault the receptionist charged the wrong price. I don’t see that as very professional. It made me feel really awkward and uncomfortable and I really wish that would’ve have happened because I wanted to keep going to this salon.
Overall though I’m happy with the service and my baby seemed well taken care of.

Ever since we relocated to Temecula from San Diego, we’ve been bringing our two Golden Retrievers. The service we receive consistently exceeds our expectations, whether it’s dealing directly with the owner or anyone else on her team, our dogs always return to us happy, looking and smelling great. Their pricing is very reasonable and what impresses me the most is the time they take to do the job right. For example, we just brought our dogs in yesterday and they called to let my wife and I know that they would need a little extra time to complete the grooming on one of our dogs before we drove over to pick them up. They then called back to let us know dogs were ready to be picked up. We absolutely found our favorite groomer and would keep coming back regardless of where we live simply because of the staff and the excellent care and service we always receive. This is an owner and team that is truly passionate about what they do and it shows in their results.

Love this dog grooming place! They do the best job. I tried all the local places and the mobile groomers. No one could get my dog as shiny and comfortable. She would be so itchy and shed from the other places. When she comes home from grooming tails, she is comfortable and doesn’t scratch at all. I’ll only be using them from now on. Prices are great as well. And the owner is always on site (when I have gone), so you know things re getting done right.

The owner, Emma, is awesome! We brought our Golden Retriever, «Honey», in to get groomed, but little did we know she would suffer a heart attack and pass away while she was there. Emma and her staff drove Honey to the E.R. down the street in her own car and waited with Honey until we got there and stayed with us until we left. Walking into where Honey was in the ER, you would think Emma and her staff were Honey’s owners, they showed as much compassion as we did for our beloved pet. If you want to take your pet in to be groomed by someone who wholeheartedly loves animals, this is the place. Emma and her staff went way over and beyond trying to save our sweet girl, but it was just her time. Thank you to Emma and her staff for being such a beautifully caring person.

Very disappointed. When I made the apt I explained that one of my dogs is prone to seizures during grooming and wanted to make sure they were comfortable with that. After the girl said that was not a problem, I made an apt. My dog ended up having a seizure during his grooming and they called me freaking out telling me they couldn’t finish his grooming (even though he came out of his seizure perfectly fine) and we needed to come pick him up. When I arrived they still charged me full price and neither dogs were finished. My female dog does not have seizures and there was no reason she couldn’t be finished. This would not be an issue if they hadn’t been told before I booked an apt and they said it was not a problem. All they seemed to be interested in is getting their money and did not care about the dogs themselves.

I mean, hands down, THEE BEST grooming service, in the world. First and foremost, I feel safe here. My animal is not only being treated with love and respect, but also has never been «nicked» in anyway by scissors, and doesn’t get anxiety or act strange the rest of the day after leaving. It’s always been such a fantastic experience. The owner and staff are downright amazing. Literally. I cannot speak highly enough. They are kind, and respectful, and SO good at what they do. I moved to OC last year, and have been making the drive from Laguna Beach to Murrieta to continue to have my 11 year old chihuahua groomed at Grooming Tales. To top it off, the grooming is top notch. Gizmo always comes back looking absolutely adorable. I will never go elsewhere. Thank you Grooming Tales!

Took our new puppy, Skylar, in for her first grooming session today. Upon arrival, the staff was incredibly friendly and warming. Emma was super informative and made me feel comfortable with leaving my fur baby in her hands. I was completely satisfied with Skylar’s results and she smelled so good! Will definitely come back again! The prices are awesome too!

I love this place this is my new favorite go to for animal grooming. I love the self wash I got to use on my French bulldog. The quality of the products you get to use is great I’m about to pick up my little cat, it’s a Persian with the lion cut. I have no doubt he’s going to look amazing! Everything is reasonably priced here. love love love love this place!

Our search for an experienced, caring and professional groomer ended the day we took our little Coton DeTulear to Grooming Tails! Emma and her staff have been wonderful. We have taken our dog to other groomers and have been horrified with the service (see my reviews), but GroomingTails have been one place we felt comfortable leaving our furry member of the family in their hands! In a few months, we will be adding an Australian Labradoodle to our family; no doubt she will be also well taken care of. Thank you Emma and everyone at Grooming Tails!

This place makes you fall in love with your messy dog all over again.
Our friends went out of town and put us in charge of their Pomeranian dog.
It was a big mistake to let this mad puppy in the backyard with the sprinkles scheduled to come on at night. When he came back in, he was a total muddy mess and did not even look like the dog we were watching, mind you the owners we supposed to pick the dog up in the afternoon.
We took him to grooming tails and the did an amazing job on him that our friends thought we did this as a surprise to welcome them back.
Thank you so much. Wonderful service, great owners, reasonably priced, and the cleanest facility I have ever seen.

I have been taking my dog here for over a year. Everyone is nice and professional. I am very happy with the way everyone treats Nicomei. When I make them aware of things I am unhappy with they take care of it without bad reactions are attitudes. Nicomei just got his first spring cut for 2015 and he so handsome.

This business is professional, clean and pricey. I love my dog but, I am not sure if a $ 44 first timer puppy trim is something I’ll opt for again. After that, the prices only go up! My baby came out looking like a star that’s for sure and they use great products too. All the employees are sweet and caring. I definitely recommend this place if you don’t care for price tags also if your furry bud is having a special day. I would love to see them have more offers/​specials. There’s a lot of competitors in this area with better prices and similar quality. Overall, I had a great experience. I booked early morning and by noon he was already in their hands.
