We are here to create change. The commercial pet food industry has put our pets’ health at risk for far too long. We would like to empower you through education and the understanding of species appropriate nutrition so that you can make better informed decisions on how to feed your four legged family members. We encourage you to take charge of your pets’ health, wellness and vitality. If you are new to biologically appropriate feeding, we are proud to serve as a catalyst and comprehensive resource for this change. If you have been doing this for awhile, we’d love for you to share your thoughts, questions, concerns, ideas and experiences with us. Welcome to the Planet!

History

Established in 2013.

We moved to the area nearly 3 years ago and started selling RAW dog food out of our garage. It was strictly a word of mouth and internet based business. January of 2013 we expanded our operation to a warehouse on Winchester & Ynez & began offering delivery service to help accommodate our growing customer base. August of 2013 we were fortunate enough to expand the business into a full retail space, which now includes grooming and small dog daycare. We are extremely thankful for the growth we’ve experienced in such a short amount of time and look forward to serving the area for many years to come!

Jay A.

Business Owner

Jay is Certified Canine Nutritionist & believes in a dietary approach to wellness. He offers nutritional consults to dogs w/​varying health conditions & uses a holistic method that focuses on diet to treat them. He also takes a whole foods approach to supplementation rather than relying on synthesized pills or powders. He believes that minimal processing & fresh ingredients is key. «Fast, cheap & easy is never good for you, so it may cost a buck more & take a min. longer but it can be the difference between chronic illness & remarkable health!»

Jay volunteers w/​non-​profit 5013c organizations in the Temecula Valley to help evaluate, rescue & adopt dogs who otherwise wouldnt be given a second chance. As an active member of a local Pet forum, he generously offers his help, knowledge & experiences w/​local pet owners online.

Jay loves his community, so keep an eye out; you may see him giving a nutritional seminar at the local grooming academy or volunteering at an adoption event near you!

Great prices, raw food/​treats and goat’s milk, very helpful staff.
Also, if your dog is on a raw diet, they now have dehydrated raw food that comes in a bag, to be stored in the pantry. I bought one to have on standby, since I always have a day or two each month where the next chub isn’t defrosted enough to serve. You just add water and it reconstitutes into raw food!

I love Sandy and Jay! Sandy helped me to convert my dogs from Darwin’s Pet Food I would get shipped down here from Seattle to Small Batch Raw Pet food. The dogs love it and I’m floored. I pay less and there’s less plastic waste. Oh, did I meantion the dogs love it?! This is a great place to go for natural food and treats for your pups. They serve feline customers too which is nice.
I have yet to take Jay up on his dog training classes and we may need that soon enough with our unruly Siberian Husky. I will definitely check out their on-​site groomer too. I’m excited towards a symbiotic relationship with Carnivore Planet moving forward. Love you guys!

Got the chance to meet Jay and learn about Carnivore Planet. You can tell Jay just loves what he does. I have a small Morkie (Half Yorkie and Half Maltese). I really need to buy everything that they have, my dog is very picky eater and has long furry hair that gets full of knots. They will not only keep your dog looking good on the outside but keep them healthy on the inside. This place is one of Temecula’s best kept secrets, more people need to know this place exist.

We get all of our dog food here. Grain free (dogs shouldn’t eat grains) and high quality. I am VERY picky about what my dogs eat. This store carries everything from kibble to RAW! They have a great freezer section with raw bones, raw goat’s milk, and fresh food too. They groom dogs, do doggie day care, and training there too! We love this store!

Read the reviews and since it was so close to my office I figured I’d give them a try! I have a gigantic 150lb Saint Bernard who’s never been to a professional groomer, he’s big, goofy, scared and unaware of his own size! The team here was amazing! They told him how he really needed someone with bin the entire time because he was scared. He looked AMAZING after, he smelled amazing, his hair was unmated, soft, fluffy, teeth cleaned, I could on but he just looked like an amazing show dog! We will definitely be back again!

I am so impressed with Carnivore Planet pet grooming! I brought in my cat and dog in for a bath and nail trim. The everyone was super friendly, my cat looks and smells good. My dog was in the front waiting area for dogs, she looks great and smells amazing! They had played with her while waiting for me to pick her up. I definitely will be a repeat customer!

We stopped by here Saturday, I’ve been wantingto check this place out but haven’t had a chance. I’m so glad we did, we ended up speaking to Jay, the owner, and he was so informative. He said a couple of things I questioned but when I researched it turns out he was right and I was clueless. We had a bunch of questions about raw food, I have had my dog on and off of a raw diet for years, never had any problems with her on raw but I didn’t really have someone to talk to so I wasn’t sure I was doing what was right for my dog. After talking to Jay I know raw is the way I want to go.
We got to the store about 15 minutes before it closed and didn’t end up leaving until about 30 minutes after they closed. The whole time we were there Jay was SUPER helpful and never made us feel rushed. I felt like if we needed another hour he would have gladly and patiently talked to us. He even showed us how we could save money, instead of just trying to talk us into the most expensive food.
I compared prices of their treats and dry kibble, as well as their raw, to other local pet stores and the prices here are either on par or a bit cheaper. We will definitely be buying out dog food and goats milk from here for now on. Only thing I wish is that they were open Sundays.

Carnivore Planet is my go to place for food and treats for my 3 dogs. It’s a bonus that the owners are the neatest people. Jay isn’t bothered by explaining really health and nutrition for those that are just starting on the raw diet for their pets. He is not pushy or preachy. I’m a customer for life!

I went in one day after reading the Unilocal reviews and can honestly say that they deserve 6 stars, not 5. The owners were SUPER nice and very knowledgeable. They answered all my questions about switching to raw feeding. Jay especially took a lot of time and asked me a bunch of questions about my dog and his health which I wasn’t expecting (it’s usually me asking all the questions). He recommended a great diet for my dog and I’m happy to say that my chunky monkey has lost a couple pounds and his stinky feet have cleared up. The selection of food is very well edited and they only stock high quality food. I would recommend this place to anyone!

Carnivore Planet… a beautiful and modern local health and wellness pet store in Murrieta/​Temecula. When you enter, you are greeted with a smile from the staff. The staff is very knowledgeable in your pets needs. They carry a variety of fresh, natural, organic, and whole foods for your dog and cat. They offer great quantity of raw and solid foods that is always stocked up on their aisles or freezers. All I can say, they have the Lamborghini or Rolls Royce of pet food. They also offer daycare, grooming, and professional obedience training for your pets. I recommend this place to every dog and cat owners. Once you feed your pet what Carnivore Planet carries… your pet will even love you more.
