Rock This House Audio and Mastering

Working with EL has been nothing short of a disaster, and I would not recommend his services to anyone looking to get their music inexpensively mixed or mastered.
The band submitted 14 tracks and payment to him for mixing and mastering on March 16^th, 2015. There were some initial problems with the delivery, and we were told that everything was worked and and that he was working on mixes by late May. After a lack of contact, I took over communication from another band member asking for progress and deadlines.
July 9^th, 2015, I received an email saying that there were only 3 left to mix. EL said that he was having some problems, and I offered him the opportunity to back out of the project given his time constraints. We were planning a late July CD release party given that many members were moving across the country, and were hoping to get the initial mixes and masters 2 weeks after that email. Throughout the communication process, EL refused to give hard deadlines or updates on progress. Every communication was «you’ll have it when you have it».
On August 4^th 2015, EL said he was going to upload the final mixes and send them out in the next few days. This did not happen. I reached out again on August 14^th, asking for an upload link, and was again delayed until the following Tuesday. August 19^th he emailed saying he was uploading that night, then did not respond to any of my follow up emails.
On September 4^th I sent a final email asking for a refund or the uploads by Sept 8^th, which marked a full 180 days after he confirmed receipt of payment, and 3 weeks after he said he was uploading the mixes. As of today, he has yet to respond.
Throughout the process EL acted in a very unprofessional manner, offering vague excuses and never following up unless prompted. I know the price may be tempting, and I’m sure others may have had good experiences in the past, but I would not trust him with deadlines or anything that may seem remotely complicated.
