Hyatt Place Mt. Laurel

I have stayed at the Hyatt House across the street and have always been pleased. This time I needed just a one-​night stay, and didn’t need the large full kitchen that HH has, I decided to book Hyatt Place instead. Unless I need a kitchen, this is where I will stay when I visit Mt. Laurel.
+ The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful
+ There’s a small bar by the front desk if you want an evening cocktail, no beers on draft though
+ Rooms are nice and large, we had a king bed and a full sofa (with a sleeper if you need an extra bed)
+ The king bed was very comfortable, there was a privacy screen between the living room and the bedroom
+ Room was clean, quiet and nicely decorated
+ No problem parking, right near the front door
+ Nice FREE breakfast, decent coffee
+ Free Wifi
— The closet was very small, We had a large suitcase and it took up the entire space. It wasn’t a walk-​in, so I had trouble reaching stuff in the suitcase
— The Chili’s moved down the street — but, if you take the ‘back way’ (left on Crawford, right on Atrium, left on Arbor) the ‘new’ Chili’s is less than a mile, you can walk there in 15 minutes. This is a good way to avoid traffic on Rt. 73 as well
I will definitely be back!

I must of gotten one of the good rooms. This place is beautiful. The room is just like the pictures. The staff is friendly and quick. Enjoying it so far. I would recommend this place being its affordable and spacious.

We usually stay at hotels in the Hilton family. We decided to give Hyatt Place a try. Never again. The bathroom was filthy! (I included pictures if you can stomach it) We only stayed one night so upon check out we showed the pictures to the front desk. The lady said she would send someone right up to clean it which is great but doesn’t do me any good. Then she asked if I was «looking for something in return?» Awkward! I just told her I would stay at a Hilton from now on instead. I know Hiltons policy is if you find anything wrong with your room it is free! I wasn’t trying to get a free room but a less awkward apology would’ve helped! And to top everything off they close the included breakfast at 10am… On a SUNDAY!!! So perhaps I am a little hangry as I write this review!

Enjoyed our stay very much although the beds were harder than my husband and I prefer.
As I am allergic to feathers, I asked if the pillows were made with feathers or foam upon checking in and was told that the one pillow in the closet was a foam pillow. So I used that but had an allergic reaction anyway after spending the night in our room. The next morning, I mentioned this to the kind staff at the front desk (different staff from than the night before) and was told that the comforter on the bed was filled with down feathers as well. The offer was made to immediately remove all down items from our room, replacing them with non-​down items, something I really appreciated. However, I feel that the hotel should inform visitors that down products are in the room– this could be easily done by a posted flyer that notes that visitors with a feather allergy should call the front desk so that down items can be replaced with non-​down items.

I was very pleased with it.
The room was large and for the most part. very clean. The only thing that could have been cleaned better was the bathtub.
The beds were comfy and they give you tons of pillows.
My daughter forgot to pack her tooth brush so I called the front desk to see if they might sell them and they told me to just come down to the desk. I went down and they had a whole bunch of things in a tub that you could pick from if you forgot yours at home.
The breakfast was nice. They had 3 different hot sandwiches and the oatmeal. Also, a nice selection of fruits, cereals, breads, bagels, and muffins.
The staff was very nice and helpful. I will definitely be going back to this hotel.

A nightmare. The award for most frightening bathtub goes to… Hyatt. How is it even possible for a hotel to be so cruel and allow people to even see such a worn out and disgusting bathtub, let alone put people who spend $ 250 a night in this murder scene room 210. It’s not right. It’s not fair. My perception of the Hyatt brand has been completely obliterated.

Been here for 2+ weeks straight, the rooms are very nice. The day prior to arriving I called to make sure we had a specific room type, which they assured me they did, upon checking in we were placed in a room that was not the type I asked for, when I asked if we could switch they told me we had to wait until the next day at which point a staff member will call and assist me with switching rooms. The next day mo such call was made and I had to ask the front desk again to switch, at this time I was given a different room. When asked for assistance with the bell cart because I was on the 4^th floor and had a toddler with me I was told they could not help. About half of the front desk staff are very nice and very helpful, the others have the «I can’t be bothered attitude. «Our room very rarely gets cleaned and when it does, the extent of the cleaning is taking out the trash and changing the towles. I find myself having to wipe down the counter tops and picking things off of the floor because the few times that the room gets cleaned those things are not being done. If I put the «please come back later» sign on the door while my daughter is napping that is almost a guarantee that my room will not be cleaned because they never come back and I end up having to remove my own trash. Unlike most hotels they do not have plastic cups which is nice but you are stuck with dirty cups because they do not get replaced or cleaned. When asked to replace my cups I was given two cups that had lipstick stains on them.

Very pleasant hotel for a reasonable price. clean hotel, friendly staff and yummy quick breakfast. Great if traveling with children — they loved the pull out couch and area all for themselves. Will be looking for a Hyatt Place next time doing an overnight getaway with the family.

Clean hotel and room, tasty free breakfast, located by several other hotels and friendly staff. Zero issues. It’s about a 25 minute drive to downtown Philadelphia but the hotel is located in a quiet part of New Jersey.

this is our 2^nd year in a row spent at hyatt place mt laurel and will say it was just as amazing as the last yr hence why we returned.
this time we brought our new addition to the fam, buster our maltipoo.
continental breakfast is always amazing not cheap, or dull.
sean is always a pleasure and completely obliging, he is a major reason why we returned this year! he not only remembered us since we came with 2 other families, but made us feel right at home!!!
rooms are great, wish we had 2 queens vs. 2 fulls, clean, large, love that they come with fridges and since we went out to eat we heated up our food downstairs in the micro. free wifi and no issue giving us extra towels!
nice outdoor clean pool, near philly, down the road from coco keys & sahara sams & near the best aquarium ive ever been to. great place for family trips!

Reserved a two bedroom with a couch and received a one bedroom. Customer service did nothing to help. Ended up staying because it was the only place we could stay. Found trash in pullout couch. Horrible service.

Breakfast was lukewarm at best. There is a small selection of various dishes but not as many as Hyatt house or Hampton inn. AC unit is very close to the bed and was difficult to select the correct temp.
Expected better quality than Hampton Inn.

The water in the shower was clogged /​backed up every time you tried to use it. It was absolutely disgusting. The iron didn’t work though when I reported it to the front desk they got me a new working iron within minutes. I went to the fitness center and more than half of the equipment would not operate due to electronic issues. The breakfast is mediocre at best. In fact I could have probably gotten better quality «hot breakfast» at a McDonald’s. My husband and I were frequently in and out of the hotel and were only staying one night so we did not have time to report each thing. Therefore, I will give the front desk the benefit of the doubt and say perhaps they would have resolved most of these issues for us. However on the flip side I should not have to list out all these things after checking in. This made my husband and I question the attention that gets put towards the quality of the chain as a whole. It was our first time staying at a Hyatt and it will definitely be the last.

Put up here for the night by work. Great friendly staff from the moment we walked in. Very helpful all night, including providing dinner recommendations. (We actually didn’t take their recommendation and went to a restaurant based on Unilocal reviews. We lived our dinner so reported back to the front desk. They were impressed and open to recommending it to others.)
Hotel is being remodeled, and the work didn’t interfere or affect our stay at all. Really nice, spacious rooms (we were in remodeled rooms).
Small coffee bar and spirits available. Was able to enjoy my wine night cap and have Starbucks in the morning.

Stayed for the weekend for a concert in Philly. Very clean, all staff friendly and helpful. Central location for our purposes. My only complaint is the bed could’ve been more comfortable. Overall great stay and would definitely recommend and stay here again.

Friendly staff and very nice, spacious and well equipped rooms. Best hotel in the mount Laurel area that I stayed in before. They have a hot breakfast and the coffee isn’t bad at all.

Excellent hotel. Loved the way breakfast area is setup with all the seating.
Rooms are nice, with a huge LED tv. bathroom is a little small.
Would love to stay there again. I would definitely recommend it.

This hotel room had plenty of space. The bathroom sink is outside of the actual shower and toilet portion, so two people can comfortably get ready at once. The room, hall, and lobby are all clean. The bar is somewhat small, but does have food to order. The gym in the hotel is small but they do offer a free pass to the gym across the street which is quite nice. The one bad thing is they do not have much around for food. Cracker Barrel is your best bet if you are walking. Your only other easy options are take out menus which the front desk does have.

Convenient, comfortable, roomy and at the right price point!
Had a family function to attend to in New Jersey, and booked it on the basis of reviews from other Unilocalers.

Easy to self-​cater: no room service so staff has no issue with delivery and are willing to loan dishes, flatware, cups, etc.; in-​room mini-​fridge and microwave in the breakfast room allows easy reheating of leftover delivery items
Big rooms/​suites: living room with large sectional sofa sleeper, desk area, mini-​bar, dressing room area, huge TV that is visible from the sleeping area and the living room area
Price: possible to get rates from $ 69 to $ 99/​night
Easy access to freeways and NJ Turnpike
Outdoor pool (closed for the winter)
Cons:
No restaurant as suggested by other Unilocalers
Galley items are expensive and are a joke – better to order pizza and Italian delivery
No restaurants within easy walking distance
Bottom line: pretty good hotel, considering the price and location!

This is my favorite hotel in all my travels. No it is not a 5 star hotel but the staff sure makes you feel like it is.
The rooms are very comfortable and clean. The lobby has assorted food in a cold case for on the go or a menu of items you can order 24 hours a day. In addition there is a full bar. This is most helpful when you want a drink but do not want to drive.
The staff is outstanding! Always remember my name, where I work, my favorite wine… they are the best. The manager Glenn is always out mingling with the customers and he really makes you feel like you are home.
When in the area, this is the place to stay.
