impossible to reach. they don’t return calls. they don’t return email correspondence. they have had my wife’s shoes for over a month(just need some rubber tips put on to stop slipping). BUT — they call/hound right away when our new chip-debit card showed up and the account needed updating for them to get paid. now their voicemail box is full and not accepting any messages. AVOIDLIKETHEPLAGUEIFYOUMIGHTEVERNEEDTOFINDOUTWHEREYOURMISSINGAPPARELIS!!! I guess our next step is to tell the credit card company to stop allowing transactions and then I’m sure they’ll find time to call back. Jeez.

Well Pressed double charged my credit card for the same transaction. Fine. This happens. What I find completely unacceptable is no attempt at communication after 2 separate emails and 2 voicemails asking them to rectify the situation before having to dispute the charge with my credit card company. After nearly one week, I still have not received any response from them. I will no longer be using Well Pressed.

I used these guys for a long time because they are convenient. They are reliable, which is a big plus for a delivery service. No real complaints about their dry cleaning service. So why the one star? Laundry service sucks. They destroyed every shirt I own for work. They wear out the elbows — this has never happened to me at any other laundry. Commercial laundries are always kind of hard on cotton shirts, and they will wear out faster than if you did them yourself. But come on, no one does them themselves, and you simply accept that they will wear out kind of fast. Usually shirts start to fray around the collars and cuffs after a while and you know it is time to go shirt shopping. But with Well Pressed, the elbows got holes really, really fast, sometimes the first time they were washed. It was like someone had taken sandpaper to the elbows. I noticed this, but also noticed that, most of the time, the holes would be repaired. I didn’t like wearing newish shirts with patched elbows, but put up with it for quite a while because there aren’t that many delivery services. Then I noticed that they were charging me $ 9 for each repair, for damage they caused! I can’t take it anymore. They are never getting their hands on another of my shirts, even if I have to go back to the weekly pilgrimage to a laundry. Stay away!

Was using them at my office until they RUINED a $ 200 silk dress of mine. I will no longer be using their services and will tell all my coworkers not to as well. I have also had trouble in the past with coats coming back smelling like moth balls, and shirts not ironed properly. I would give them zero stars if I could.

Well pressed is convenient and easy and has great customer service. I have called their customer service with questions(I was confused about the process…) and they were very friendly and helpful. I love the process — simply put your clothes in the box and wait for them to show up on your desk… it’s that simple.

Positive side: ultra convenient. Negative side: occasionally ruins your clothes, and then denies responsibility. Details: They ultra-overheated one of my nicest shirts, to the point where every button was shattered and the shirt had shrunk so much that it no longer fit me. Their response: «We have looked at the shirt, the buttons were our fault and is fixed now. The shrinking problem is cleary a manufacreting issue.» … which is clearly B.S. since this is a shirt that has gone through many iterations of dry-cleaning and never shrank before, and it’s obvious from the buttons that they subjected the shirt to extreme heat(or some other form of abuse). After several email exchanges it became apparent that they were not going to reimburse the shirt.

my experience with well-pressed was pretty seamless. i dropped off my sweaters to be dry cleaned in the box at my office. i also needed new soles on a pair of expensive boots. everything came back promptly, looking good. the new shoe soles were a bit pricey(around $ 50), but it was worth it for the convenience and the quality of the soles they used. no cheapy plastic soles here! well-pressed also emailed me to ask if i wanted them to fix a tiny hole in one of my sweaters. yeah, i paid extra for it, but it was thoughtful of them to think to ask.

Well Pressed is fantastic, but slightly on the expensive side($ 11.50 for a suit). However, the convenience more than makes up for it. I mean, I could pay $ 8 – 9 at a local cleaner, but then I’d have to make two separate trips on my lunch break to drop off and pick up. Basically, on Monday night, I dropped a sport coat and pants into a bag and tossed it into the Well Pressed bin. On Tuesday, they picked it up and processed it. When I didn’t get an email notification, I called their customer support and spoke with a really nice guy who showed me how to check my order on the website. He also apologized because their email system had been neglecting to send out confirmation emails. On Friday, my coat and pants were delivered to my desk on hangars and wrapped in a plastic bag. Great service.

My old routine: 1. Gather up cloths 2. Find time to go to cleaner 3. Forget I have shit at cleaner 4. Remembered I have shit at cleaner 3 weeks later 5. Find time to go to cleaner 6. Go to cleaner and realized they are closed 7. Go back again 8. Pay My new routine: 1. Gather up cloths 2. Drop off cloths at company lobby 3. Magically, my cloths appear at my desk 3 days later, with my Visa charged. Not only are they that convenient, they are CHEAPER than my local cleaner. I love you, Well Pressed.

I wish the folks at Well Pressed ran half the other companies I patronize(American Airlines, I’m looking at you), because they’re friendly and absolutely flawless. Here’s how it works: 1.) Put clothes in laundry bag provided by Well Pressed. 2.) Drop bag in bin in the lobby of your office. 3.) … 4.) Two or three days later, your clothes appear at your desk, clean and on hangers, your credit card charged. They’ve never lost anything, they find and treat stains without you needing to point it out(though you can always leave a note if you’d like them to do something specific.) And it’s possible that Meg(who runs the company) is actually the world’s nicest human being. She once noticed that the buttons on my coat were loose, so they sewed them back on, free of charge. They do alterations and shoe repair as well. The alteration services is good for easy things(hemming pants, and they can do an invisible/original hem on jeans.) The shoe repair service is less good — my regular cobbler in SF pointed out a few mistakes they made. But dry cleaning is what they do primarily, and they do a great job at it. I’m not sure what other companies they have drop off boxes at, but I’m sure you could call and ask.(I put the listing at Google, since I know they’ve got drop off boxes there.)
