Ted at Tree Movers supplied a beautiful 48″ boxed replacement tree for us in Los Altos after an 80 foot Monterey Pine died. I had his guys plant it and they were very prompt, courteous, First Class and a beautiful result with a one year guarantee. I recommend them not only as a tree supplier, but would absolutely use them to plant it.

60″ Box Swan Hill Olive, approximately 11,000 lbs, 15 Ft tall, delivered and installed. These guys run a quality operation and I can’t see anyone else on The SF Peninsula who effectively competes with them. They have an expansive on-site selection of specimen trees and the owner, Ted Miljevich, obviously has the passion and knowledge to pull it all together, from tree selection to the final installation. Located in Mountain View, next to the Bay, buried behind the Shoreline Amphitheatre and the Google Campus is an impressive collection of specimen boxed trees. From the time we picked the tree to installation took 6 weeks as these guys are busy; Ted has a good handle on lead-in times and always stuck to his dates. Not cheap — but worth it.

These guys are fantastic! I wish I’d known about them when we first did our landscaping. Ted has a forest of big trees to look at and he really knows everything about them — species, water-savers, etc. He even ordered some trees for us. Yes, you have to make an appointment, but that’s a good thing because you get to pick out the specific tree(size, shape) you want. And you get the benefit of Ted’s expertise. He can advise you on what will work best in your particular climate zone, soil type, sun, shade, whatever. The guys who planted our trees were great. We got 24″ boxes with trees about 15 feet tall, and it was amazing to see how the team maneuvered them. They planted each tree exactly where we wanted it, staked it and put in a deep watering/inspection tube. Everything was neat and tidy when they left. The prices are very reasonable when you consider: —(1) These are big trees. Yes, you can buy something in a small container and wait 2 — 5 years for it to grow. But if you want or need something large right away, e.g., for privacy screening, it’s really worth the money. —(2) Transporting and planting a big tree isn’t easy. You wouldn’t want to do it yourself! —(3) The trees are guaranteed. Ted and his team are knowledgeable, reliable and hard-working. And they’re really great to work with!

Later that day we had the tree installed. It was actually bigger than I remember and my husband says the crew was very nice and professional. The tree looks great, so now we’re happy. –1star for poor communication during the ordering process.
