Received a free meal from VG, thanks. I will continue trying this location.

Just stopped here for the first time. I had the burger with coleslaw. My dad had the southwest chicken with kale soup. Both were very good, and the service was fast.

Let me preface this by saying that I am a newcomer to Veggie Grill — I had always heard of this chain and looked at the menu but never really understood the appeal. After coming here a couple times, I must say that I am a fan! The food is fresh, quick, delicious, and actually vegetarian. Upon coming in, I was a little bit thrown off that they actually have NOTHING on the menu with meat — instead they have meat substitutes, most prominently, the chick’n. As a meat eater, I was a little bit skeptical. The first couple of times I visited, I got the Bombay Bowl, which is basically grains with cooked vegetables, almonds, and a delicious green curry sauce. Unfortunately, this dish makes my stomach feel uneasy, probably because I am sensitive to quinoa. But every time, I wasn’t able to resist ordering it because it was the most appealing menu item to me and it is so yummy! Finally, during my last visit, I think I have found my new favorite menu item. It’s always a hit or miss when you get a soup/salad like combo — but I was so pleased with my savory kale caesar and sweet potato fry combo. They gave a good serving of both and I left feeling completely satisfied. The caesar came with tempeh bacon, which kind of tastes like a more intense, grainier beef jerky… interesting! they were also very generous with the avocado, which is very appreciated! We also tried the B wing salad, which also came with a good amount of avocado(score!) and was very filling. I will say, the chick’n in the buffalo sauce was very tasty! The texture of the chick’n is still a little more dense than real chicken, but with the sauce, it is actually not noticeably different. Obviously a regular chicken eater won’t be fooled by this, but I was actually pleasantly surprised that this was not totally inedible. I must say I am impressed with this establishment! As a fast-ish food option that at least feels healthier than a lot of other dinner options, I may have to add this to my restaurant rotation!

I felt like eating healthier one day and was craving a good vegetarian/vegan restaurant — but I also wanted to keep it simple. So, it was off to Veggie Grill! My parents had been here before but I have not, so I was excited to try after hearing many good things about it(yeeeaars ago too, when I lived in SD… never really had the opportunity to go). We came to this location for a late weekend lunch. I ordered the Santa Fe Crispy ‘Chicken’ Sandwich, my dad the Buffalo Bomber, my mom the Grilled Quinoa and Veg Burger — and we all shared an order of the Sweetheart Fries and the Cauli-Mashed Potatoes and Gravy. I enjoyed my chicken sandwich! The tofu taste was a bit strong for me but it was yummy nonetheless. Looked just like chicken though, impressive. The crisp was just right too. I wish it included more avocado though. The fries here are delicious — good seasoning. My parents enjoyed their food as well and we all left full and happy. The food comes out kinda slow but the mashed potatoes and fries held us over until our main meal arrived. The space is clean, modern and has plenty of seating. Yum! Wish Veggie Grill was a little closer to me so I could go more often.

We came to bay area recently and were pretty happy to see this plant based food chain. This is the only outlet we have visited so far, and we have been quite regulars here. The staff is friendly and they have great choices for everyone’s taste. «Sonoran Bowl» is my personal favorite, with«Bombay Bowl» coming next. My wife is a fan of «Banh Mi Salad». They have a small dessert section too, and I really like their«Chocolate Parfait». One thing that could make this place even more likable: If they keep some hot beverages, they could add a lot of value to customers. At the least, it could be just some Herbal teas — they are extremely easy to provide, all you need to prepare at the outlet is hot water!

I’m a total fan of Veggie Grill! If you’re a Vegetarian, this is the place for you! If you’re a carnivore and craving something healthy, this is also the place for you! The food here is fantastic and made with organic products, unless they run out, they will inform you of the ingredient that is currently unavailable and you can choose to have it or not. I love their buffalo wings! The sauce is amazing and it tastes so meaty, when you know it’s vegetarian! I also love the Sonora bowl. The service is always great and I love their tea selection. One of my favorites.

The food here is excellent. I recently went vegan and have found this place to be a lifesaver around lunchtime. Their crispy chicken sandwich really tastes like chicken! Great food, great website-so happy!

Delicious vegan and vegetarian foods! Come here if you need a break from all those meaty dishes you’ve been consuming(especially after Thanksgiving)! Or you just want something healthier. I’ve been going here regularly since they first opened and it’s consistently great. It’s a spacious and nice atmosphere. My 3 favorite items are… and they never disappoint: — Crispy cauliflower: appetizer and good for sharing! — Buffalo wings: delicious with a nice flavor kick! You wouldn’t believe it’s not meat. — Thai chicken salad: light and refreshing, tasty, and filling! Oh, don’t forget to try the house-made iced teas. I hope you give this place a try! Cheers!

I knew it was going to be delicious as a person who who doesn’t like to eat meat very much. Today, I finally got to try it out. It wasn’t as super good as I anticipated, but it’s good enough for me to come back. Just order at the counter and find a place to sit when you get a number. The guy who took our order was really nice and patient. According to our recipe, his name was John. It’s in Carmel the village plaza next to safeway and that pizza place. Seoul plate: if you gave this to a carnivorous person, they wouldn’t notice if you served this to them. The«beef» was a little dry and didn’t taste like korean meat, but it was nbd. This dish was ok. Shredded carrots and cabbage with black rice(I think?) Crispy«chicken»: I LOVE the tofu taste in the«chicken»!! Nice little crisp on the chicken. Didn’t like the shredded lettuce, but everything else was good. chose Cole slaw as my side… my bf said it was good, but there were RAISINS. I hate raisins… The price for how much you get is a little expensive. I think my order is more like $ 8 than $ 10. Overall, I love this place not just because it’s delicious, but because there’s not very many good vegan/vegetarian places. Hooray for meatless food.

I was literally starving by the time I got here… Running errunds all morning makes you hungry! But I needed something healthy and fast!!! This place is amazing! I ordered the power salad and wings and they were absolutely delicious!!! The salad was so fresh and mixed with quinoa and guacamole! Really tasted refreshing! The chicken wings I ordered out of hunger… But it was very very tasty and seasons will! I couldn’t even tell it wasn’t real chicken!!! I definitely will be common back! It’s by the Safeway so there’s Parking if it’s not crowded! It’s also next to a Starbucks so you can grab coffee after you eat! Very convenient location! And the best part the severing are a lot for one person! The salads huge!!! Love this place

This is one of my favorite eating joints and I was so happy when they opened the Mountain View location. They have a variety of items. My personal favorite is the buffalo wings, Santa fe sandwich and Crispy Chickin Plate. The food is great, service is good and the place is clean. Parking can be hard near the restaurant since the Shopping Center is almost always crowded but there is a parking lot close by near Safeway with plenty of free parking.

This place is great! I drive all the way from Livermore to get this as a treat once in a while. Their spicy faux chicken burger is really that good! It’s one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had. Really, really filling. I’m interested in the ingredients, because it’s a different texture than most soy chicken I’ve had and way better. The service is really good. They once made a mistake an forgot to bring me my soup, but more than made up for it with an apology and a slice of carrot cake! The interior décor is very modern and light. Love the color scheme! They have this textured wall that you can’t help but want to touch! They also have seating for larger groups, which I’ve seen them accommodate easily. Lots of convenient parking, so don’t worry about that.

Sonoran summer bowl with added grilled chickin It was a great salad bowl with quinoa and beans. I love the grilled chickin, totally yummy and more protein to your dish. Plus, The service has improved and the utensil shortage situation has been resolved :)

It’s nothing to write home about, but if you want some good, tasty, healthy vegetarian fair, then this is good for that. It’s all pretty low cal, but tastes similar and appears similar to regular meat loving food. However, I am not going to lie — almost every item here would be better with meat… almost every single one… That said, as a vegan alternative it’s good. The papa’s portabella and the fried cauliflower(which tastes sort of like chicken nuggets) are my favorite.

Never tried vegan food. I’m an avid meat enthusiast so the thought of coming here was placed into my mind ala force by my girlfriend. And to much delight, I was taken by surprise. The menu is inventive and original. The entire menu looks like its directly pulled from some fancy lunch spot in SF. The BLTA was fine. The«bacon» was a non-issue. What was an issue was the overly toasted(slightly burnt) bread, and the excessive amount of lettuce. I would have liked to see more tomatoes, avocado, and«bacon». The corn on the cob is ridiculous. Get it, love it, eat the crap out of it. My gf sang high praise to her seasonal quinoa bowl with fresh pico, black beans and avacado. They also don’t serve soda. They serve a variety of iced teas and lemonades which make for a delightful Arnold palmer. Lunch for the two of us was $ 30. Moderately pricey, but well worth it. I’d recommend it to anyone in the area looking for a filling healthy lunch.

I’m always excited at Vegan spots, but there’s often room for improvement, as there was here. I went to an Elite event at the Walnut Creek location, and the food there was really amazing. This place had a different menu — I don’t know if this was seasonal, or there’s a different menu for this location(maybe both). The sweet potato fries were bland and chewy. The Banh mi salad was good, but had rather too much spicy dressing — I think places like this tend to do this for non-vegan customer who are used to different strong flavors(your palate changes when you become vegan). The steamed veges were kinda of sad. The beer choices were kind of mediocre too. Still, the grilled corn was pretty good, and I’d definitely want to try different options, but I think they really could step it up here.

Veggie Grill is one of the few reasons I can tolerate passing through Mountain View. Seemingly out of place in this suburban environment, Veggie Grill offers an all vegan fast-food style menu. But you’ll have a hard time finding the words vegan or plant-based anywhere in their restaurant or on the menu. They like to keep this on the down-low, which is smart when you’re setting up shop in places like Mountain View, San Jose, Walnut Creek, etc. What I like about Veggie Grill is that the decadence spectrum is pretty wide. You can certainly eat some pretty healthy options here(several delicious salads available, for example), and the sandwiches are not grotesquely large but rather a reasonable size. However, you can also get the normal fast food element in items like the buffalo wings or fries. Veggie Grill would probably get 5 stars if they weren’t forcing me to eat in Mountain View. Open a location in SF!

Delicious, refreshing salads and a great healthy lunch option. After eating tons of meat, sometimes I like to detox my body and eat here. I got the bombay bowl, which was yummy and a little Indian flare added to the salad bowl. It was also surprisingly filling. I’ve also had the kale salad, which is also delicious.

I am not a vegan or vegetarian. But I really liked this place! Located inside the very nice San Antonio shopping centers! I used to live in Mountain View 15+ yrs ago and my my, it has surely changed, especially this plaza! We had the Bombay Bowl, Santa Fe Crispy Chicken Sandwich, Tofu Banh Mi, and Harvest Bowl. I can’t even choose which one I like more, because I like them all equally! Super great flavors and my bf even said that if you didn’t tell him it was vegan food, he probably wouldn’t even be able to notice the difference. They have amazing drinks too! Strawberry lemonade, regular lemonade, organic pomegranate green tea and an organic ginger green tea, I loved all of it! For sides we got the fries and it was amazing, I think it has a touch of Cajun seasoning on top which makes this really good and it was cooked to a good texture. We also got the butternut squash soup and I didn’t like this soup at all, there wasn’t much flavor and it felt like I was eating plain baby food. Definitely give this place a try!
