I got a variety of six tacos(including al pastor, chicken, & asada). None of them tasted significantly different from any of the others, and one of them was full of little chunks of bone.

Great meat selection, friendly enough staff, and high numbers of clientele insure that the food turnover is pretty high(I wasn’t worried about getting old bits). Plate was overall a bit greasy though; I’m glad I tried it but I don’t need to go back.

3.5 small little taco camper on el camino. similar menu but not superior to mamacitas. suadero, campechano, al pastor. nice spicy salsa. meat a little bit more fatty for these tiny $ 2 tacos but popular place.

It was a warm summer night and their little truck was surrounded by happy diners – totally worth a U-turn and backtracking several blocks on El Camino to check this place out. It’s a tiny truck with 4 people crammed in there working hard. I only tried two tacos($ 2 each) which were very good and I loved the variety of salsas to dress them up even more. The side of rice($ 2) was actually a standout for me(yes I’m that Asian) — literally wanted to lick my plate! Would totally go back.

Loved the veg tacos. A bit oily since they are fried I guess. Accepts cash only and slightly pricey $ 2.50 per taco. But overall refreshing change. Particularly loved the sauces/salsas! But alas food didn’t sit well with my stomach and it wasn’t a pleasant experience. Sigh.

I love taco trucks and I love taquerias. I stopped by this taco«van» based on other Unilocal recommendations. It’s located in the self-wash carwash on El Camino next to Mancini’s Sleep Center. There is a picnic bench with an awning above, but overall, it’s very crowded where you line up and wait for your food. Three workers are crammed in tiny glass window-surrounded interior. There is a pot of bubbling meat parts and a smoking flat top for the meat and tortillas. There were a lot of Latino customers and it seemed like the workers only spoke Spanish. My boo is Salvadoran so I know how to order in Spanish. There were 4 people in front of me and it took forever to get their orders in. I finally got up there and ordered two carne asada super burritos, three chicken tacos, with everything, to go. Easy enough. It took a long time to get the food, since all of the people in front of me ordered so much food. They have a serve-yourself bar of fresh salsas, cut up limes, cucumbers and pickled jalapenos. They have a wide selection of meat parts(tongue, brain, tripe, etc) if you’re into that. The prices are higher than other trucks — $ 8 for a super burrito and $ 2 for tacos — cash only. My bf and our son ate the carne asada burritos and had to spit out the grisly, fatty parts. Not super impressive for $ 8 each. The chicken on the tacos were good though, I would recommend them. However, I can get better tacos at El Grullense in Redwood City(5th St) for $ 1.25. Overall, I was pretty disappointed. With so many other taco trucks and taquerias in the area, I don’t plan on coming back.

Freshest tacos ever. Dirty truck, non-English speaking staff, but who cares when the tacos are so good? Free arsenal of salsas and fresh free What sets this place apart is that terrific variety of meats they have. They have everything from your typical asadas and lengua, to your more adventurous tripa and cabezas. Everything tastes delicious. PROTIP: They are open for business at the thrifty car wash on El Camino. Do yourself a favor, grab a corona from the next door liquor store and you’ll be in for a party.

I had to buy a mattress at Mancini’s, and was going to get a burger at 5 Guys when this great taco truck appeared off in the distance(well, about 50 feet away). It was a warm night and the smell of carnitas was in the air and I just had to get something. I got the $ 8 burrito with carnitas. Watching the cook was very entertaining. He had 2 pots full of random animal parts, and would pull random things out and chop them to bits. My Spanish isn’t very good, and I could not identify 7 of the 19 different meat selections on the menu. All the components of the burrito were placed on the grill. He even fries the cheese on the grill. I came home, slathered it with the green salsa and lime juice and ate half the burrito and was full. The rest will be a special treat tomorrow… If you search you tube for«Super Tacos El Conrro», you’ll see exactly what I mean with the pot of random animal parts.

This place is legit. I ordered tacos one of each meat. All the meats are good but Tripas definitely made my taste buds happy.

The old locale on Showers has been succeeded by Mamacitas, however El Conrro has made a return to Mtn View with a presence of a smaller van at the Thrifty Car Wash. Sunday night is supposed to be mellow but it was pretty happening. Suadero, Carnitas, Pastor, Pollo, Tripa was what was had and all tasty. Suadero maybe a bit on the dry side. Since it’s smaller they seem to be a tad slower than before too but still solid eats all around
