Super 8 Mountain View

we stayed in this motel on Thanksgiving night and it was horribly overpriced the mirror had black paint on it there is paint peeling off of the molding in the bathroom there was no bath mat and the breakfast is rather pitiful I would not recommend this hotel at all unless it is remodeled.

Rooms are clean. Microwave and refrigerator in all rooms. Comfy beds. Safe place and close to el camino. Newly renovated rooms. Free light breakfast and wifi. Transparent windows needs to changed as people can see inside the room. Have to put the screens in morning too.

I got locked out of my apt and needed a place to lay my head until morning. (It was 3am) All the hotels in the area near my home were booked solid due to bay to breakers. I ended up in Mountainview at this Super 8. The room appeared clean but smelled of heavy deodorizer /​perfume… I actually could smell this deodorizer /​perfume scent as I walked past each room outside and in the lobby. When I turned on the AC in the room I felt it’s even in the AC /​Heating unit. My sinuses hurt profusely after a night here and would say anyone with allergies will have a difficult stay here. Also the pillows are horrible, resulting in a painful neck. They serve a light breakfast of coffee, tea, toast, cereal n yogurt. The cost with tax was about 130.

Other than this abhorrent business practice, it’s a decent place to stay.

Stayed here for one night during the week. Pleasantly surprised with a nice large room upstairs (rm 214). Clean, comfortable and really can’t say a bad thing about it. Definitely would return! For us it was a bit pricey but not for the area. So giving it a moderate price range.

Only stayed here because I had a
deal. Management was not very friendly, had to walk down twice around 10pm because my key didn’t work (TWICE).
Location was convenient, which was about the only thing that was good about this place.
Hotel rooms were nothing special, but I’ve stayed in much worse.
Needless to say, the place was not horrible, but I think I’d choose to spend my money elsewhere in the area. For the price, which was still around $ 134/​night, I thought this was way overpriced.

A quick update to my last review, i did see construction in Fall 2013, so it does appear they are updating the property from the mixed reviewed Super 8, which this used to be.
