History

Established in 1952.

Meet the Manager

Stephanie K.

Manager

In 2000 – 2001, alumna Ms. Stephanie Mirenda-Knight, became principal. As the first St. Joseph graduate to hold this position, Mrs. Mirenda-Knight is moving the school forward in the spirit of Holy Cross and with respect for the history and culture of the school and parish. The facility was seismically retrofitted in 2000. Ms. Mirenda-Knight over saw construction of a new roof and a new playground in 2001. The computer lab was upgraded to state of the art computers and she invited alumni, parents, clergy and staff to a well-attended 50th anniversary celebration in the fall of 2002. An outdoor covered pavilion was completed in 2002 as well. Slingerland training was provided for all staff and integrated into the curriculum starting in 2006. In 2013, Ms. Stephanie Mirenda-Knight and all teachers received additional certifications from Santa Clara University’s Institute for Blended Learning, ensuring St. Joseph Catholic School students continue to succeed in today’s Silicon Valley.
