History

Established in 2009.

Master Hypnotherapist Rich D. Rios Jr. has been practicing Hypnosis throughout the San Francisco Bay Area since 2009. He was instructed at the prestigious Palo Alto School of Hypnotherapy in Palo Alto, California under the instruction of Instructor –Dorothy Tyo, and holds certificates in Hypnotherapy 101, Advanced Hypnotherapy, Clinical Hypnotherapy, & Medical Hypnotherapy.

He holds a Masters Degree in Business Management & Education, with the minors in Organizational Psychology and Adult Education. He also has 300 documented hours in training, and has 5 years worth of experience, and is continually updating his training in both Hypnotherapy, as well as other modalities such as Psych-​K, Neuro Linguistic Programming, Emotional Freedom Technique, Muscle Testing, & more.

I help individuals & entrepreneurs who feel stuck, unfulfilled, & unorganized in their professional career and personal life goals, to achieve their career dreams and accomplish their personal goals with ease & simplicity. I am a Clinical & Medical Hypnotherapist who has been practicing Hypnotherapy for 5 years on a wide variety of professionals & clients throughout California utilizing holistic methods to create a ‘well-​rounded’ affect. Prior to practicing Hypnotherapy, I worked in Telecommunication Sales, Corporate & Private Overseas Security, & served proudly in the U.S. Air Force as a Security Forces Cop, & in the U.S. Army as an Airborne Communications Specialist — in the U.S. and in overseas combat theaters. I also have Masters Degrees in Business Management & Organizational Psychology and Adult Education from American Intercontinental University.

I met with Rich about a month ago after reading some of the reviews. I decided to try hypnotherapy for my many problems since seeing my therapist for over a year wasn’t going anywhere.
After meeting with Rich I felt very hopeful and optimistic, something I haven’t felt in a long time. He’s very wise and attentive. It is usually a one time meeting, which is great for my wallet since seeing a therapist for over a year drained my funds.
I highly recommend giving Rich a shot at your concerns. I’m glad I did!

I visited Rich for a fear of flying which came pretty unexpectedly as I’ve been a frequent flyer for many years. I now have been back East, the Caribbean, Europe and Hawaii; all flown to at ease. If I ever feel the slightest bit of anxiety prior to a flight, I just listen to our recorded hypnosis session or ghost track and it does the trick. Although I’ve used hypnotherapy to quit smoking cigarettes in the past, I wasn’t sure if it would work for my newly developed fear of flying. But it has and I couldn’t be happier. Thank you Rich!

I’ve been listening to hypnotherapy tracks for about a month now that Rich has made personally for me. I have agoraphobia and he made the effort to come all the way to my house to have a session with me! I have made so much progress in my recovery since starting this hypnotherapy. I wish there were more stars to award. What the other reviewer’s say is all true. Rich Rios is wonderful and he really takes the time to get to the root of the problem, no matter how long it takes. You will laugh, you will cry, you will leave with tools to help you work through your issues. He really cares about his clients and will follow up. Working with Rich Rios has been a positive experience. Should the need arise, I fully intend on returning.

I have had three sessions with Lynda. I appreciate her directness and professionalism. I feel her approach effective, and her suggestions to me useful. What I most like about her is the warmth and compassion that she transmits, especially in the recordings that she sends out. It’s palpable yet subtle, which I find comforting.
I would recommend Lynda as a hypnotherapist.
One thing to note is that most insurances don’t cover hypnotherapy, which makes the cost seem high.

I was new to therapy and I found out about Dr. Rich through Unilocal and thought this my be a better form to healing myself. He’s very nice to speak with. I decided to look into hypnotherapy because it has several techniques to utilize on a daily basis. The relaxation and hypnosis helps me to meditate and prevents me from having anxiety.

I went to see Rich about 2 or 3 years ago when I bought a 3 session package in one of those coupon apps.
Didn’t know what to expect but I always wanted to try hypnotherapy. I had this pre-​conceived picture of what a hypnotherapy session would be and how the therapist will talk to me and go about with his work. Boy was I wrong!
Rich is a very kind hearted, deep, knowledgeable therapist. He listened and we talked. He took notes and put everything in perspective. He helped me focus in on my issues and we tackled it. We can talk for days. He will make you feel like your a long lost cousin or something. Haha. I felt really welcome and satisfied after those three sessions. I’m so satisfied that now I’m back again …
When I need that extra help. That extra push. Extra motivation. First person I call is Rich. In 21 days you just might have whole new life… Just like I did.

I came to get help because I had been feeling sad because of a recent change in my life. I knew I needed to change my thought patterns but was having difficulty doing so. Rich was an excellent listener and helped me focus on exactly what it was I wanted to accomplish. He made a track tailored just for my needs so that I could also listen at home after the session. I was told to listen daily for 21 days fro great results. So far I have listened for 4 days and have really had a noticeable improvement in my mood and much needed relief. I am very excited to see where I will be after more days. What a great tool for helping those of us that sometimes get caught up thinking thoughts that do not benefit ourselves :)

My acupuncturist referred me to Rich. I was nervous going into the appointment, not sure what to expect but Rich was easy to talk to, a great listener, and guide.
After listening to the relaxation audio, I was already getting better sleep before even going in for my first appointment. I feel confident that I am already improving after our first session, and now I have my own recording to listen to daily. I recommend Rich and will be utilizing his services in the future.

I have recently changed things in my life to reduce stress (including quitting a job that was no longer healthy for me) and have discovered meditation along with many other new things. I have listened to several different meditation and guided relaxation recordings and really find them relaxing and refreshing. I recently received an MP3 file from Remedy Hypnotherapy and put it on my iPhone and used earphones to listen (I find this the best way since it helps block out any noises that you might hear that might take your focus away). At first the narrators voice was hard to get used to, the drawl at the end of the words was throwing me off but after I listened a few more times I was able to get into a good relaxation and if I listen at night it put me right to sleep. The first few times I followed all the visuals and came out refreshed and relaxed. I also listened when I went to bed but I don’t remember the end since I fell asleep. So obviously it works. I would be interested to try other recording for various issues but for general relaxation and to just de-​stress your system or take a step back and reboot yourself this is the perfect way to go, get your MP3 and you can have it with you anytime you need it on your phone or iPod. I would LOVE to have an actual one on one session but do not live in the area so the MP3 is the perfect way to do this at home.

After some recent changes in my life, I decided to return to practicing some mindfulness meditation in my everyday life. I tried Remedy’s relaxation guided meditation.
At first I was a bit turned off by the nasal tone of the speaker of the MP3. However, after using for several sessions, I realized the MP3 was placing me exactly where I wanted to be, in a state of being open minded and not worrying about things.

I found Rich’s website a few weeks ago when searching for ways to address some deep rooted issues. I am so happy I went to him! The building itself comes up fast but I was able to find it. At our first meeting Rich had such a kind smile, I felt instantly comfortable and safe. As we began taking the conversation flowed easily, he asked questions and I was able to answer, allowing him to create a session of hypnotherapy that focused on exactly what I was looking to address in my subconscious. He recorded the session and I am to listen for 21 days. Let me tell you I am already feeling better, listening to my sessions at night. Thank you Rich, You are Amazing and I appreciate you!

I stumbled across Rich’s website a few weeks ago. I never once considered Hypnotherapy prior to seeing the website. Hell, I didn’t even know what it was! LOL. But I knew I wanted to try it out and only went because of the good reviews (I always read reviews).
I had NO idea what I was walking into or what to expect. Upon talking to Rich, I felt like I was a little hesitant to disclose everything I wanted to because I didn’t know what to make out of everything. Even during the actual hypno session I was skeptical, but as I spoke to Rich I felt at ease and comfortable talking to him. I felt like he really understood the root of the problem. I realize with any therapists they’ll understand the problem and tell you the problem, but the question is, will they be able to help you get passed the problem? Which is why I chose to speak to Rich over any other therapist. He was able to help pinpoint the problem and with the session give me a way to move passed it. I still have a couple weeks left to continue to hear the recorded session but honestly I see improvement and I already feel like some things are changing.
It was a different experience but definitely one worth trying. It wasnt what I was expecting but I feel like I was able to open up and get the full value of the session. Rich was personable and never made me feel uncomfortable. Overall, my experience was very positive!

Hypnotherapy, it’s probably not what you thought. It’s not voodoo or quackery and nor is it only for the clinically doomed «kray kray», at least not when practiced correctly.
If you have a specific problem, a «real» manifested problem or one hidden and created by your mind, hypnotherapy can be effective. This is true especially for issues that have not responded well to other forms of treatment. Perhaps you don’t have a «problem», but would like to improve your life, relationships, reach a goal, etc.
Rich has a natural talent and developed skill for hypnotherapy. With his great intuition, you reveal the subconscious underworld related to your goal/​issue/​problem. It’s unbelievable how the way we think act, react, feel and perceive is often so intimately rooted in life experiences without our knowledge. These deeply rooted beliefs that we have picked up on the way, often do not serve us well.
Rich is a very genuine and compassionate person who loves what he does. I would definitely recommend him to anyone who is interested in hypnotherapy.

Hypnotherapy is this almost cray-​cray therapudic option that I never considered until a close friend told me that a single session straight up, changed her life. Before that, 100% honest, I thought of the «doctor with a watch» — this *is* that (without the watch), but it might be time to correct your understanding of how strong and effective it can be.
My friend had my attention knowing the thing she got help with was something we all identified as a problem, but were scratching our head like, «well, correcting problem x is just something *you do*…»
Here’s where hypnotherapy helps. This process of building a «specific device» that wraps up your weakness (es) or concerns into a mantra that answers their question, corrects their missteps, is totally amazing. And leveraging a trance-​like relaxation state as a way to exercise that mantra totally makes sense.
Here’s the catch, though. I’m pretty sure in order for it to work, you’ve got to believe in your therapist… You’ve got to believe in their heart so your mind can open up and listen to their voice, and fully trust in allowing them to lead the way.
This is where you want Rich Rios… his work is amazing. You’ll see. He’s not only a great listener (he’ll say after a perk, «tell me more about that…»), but also an unstoppable detective in tracking down the root cause. Just literally won’t stop until getting you there.
So there I was, chatting with Rich, six hours had passed (over the course of two days — Rich still insisting on charging me the single fixed rate for one session, regardless) and just when we thought we needed to resume a following day, Rich says, «I’ve got it! We’re ready to do the session.» and wrapped up his notes.
At that point we started the true hypnotherapy session and I realized that Rich’s «notes» during our conversation were actually the entire script for the session, which he then gave without a single hitch.
People, I’m telling you, I almost cried during this session it was so moving. It was tailored so personal, and just for me. After that, I catch myself applying all the advice, easily finding applications of the various mantra’s we created throughout the day, because again, it covered everything that we talked about.
So now, I’m not only a believer in this form of treatment, but I can’t underscore the level of difference it makes to have Rich Rios guide you through it. The result was so creative, touching, and even sweet only like someone with such creative problem solving and compassion could do. Rich is a natural, and if you let him, his work will not only help you but it will amaze you too. –Take care, all.

I have been to Remedy Hypnotherapy for two different issues. Rich is very professional and caring. He made me feel very comfortable while talking about very personal issues. He actually takes the time to fully understand the body and mind components of health conditions.
What I liked most about Rich’s approach is he is fair-​minded and generous. He took everything step by step and was careful to explain everything that I needed to know and understand. He also let me know that even if I don’t end up needing more sessions that he was always available for questions. He made it very easy to talk with him about anything and everything. He asks the right questions
I highly recommend Rich and Remedy Hypnotherapy. I have achieved my goals through working with Rich and I know he will be there for me in the future when I’m ready to work on any further issues.

Friday, 8⁄23 was my first session with Rich and I was extremely impressed with his attention to details and not trying to rush the process for a newbie. I found him on Unilocal.
I had never done hypnotherapy, but came in open-​minded and ready to listen, follow instructions and hope for good results. Personally, I came with the help to stop smoking (30 year smoker), which I found was one of the most common issues. I knew of 2 others who quit successfully with hypnotherapy and thought I would give it a try.
Rich was very patient and stayed beyond the initial 1 ½ hours without charging me overtime. He was very professional, caring, calming and made me feel very comfortable.
He recorded the hypnosis session we did towards the end of the meeting and sent it to me that same night so I can listen to it 2x a day at home. He recommended 2x a day, but at least 1x nightly for 3 weeks for the best results. Rich even sent another relaxation recording when I had mentioned that I had issues sleeping/​insomnia. Before our meeting, I expected to have to attend several sessions and pay $ 100’s of dollars with the «hope» of it may be working for me. I was pleasantly surprised that Rich suggested just the initial session and to feel free to contact him for support in between.
I’ve looking forward to following Rich’s suggestions, listening to the recording nightly and reporting back on my experience! So far, 3 days smoke-​free.
