Let’s just say it shouldn’t be that hard to make a fresh crêpe with fresh fruit I spent $ 40 on some breakfast I rather had spent that at the grocery store to make my own if I had time this morning

I didn’t much like our experience at Olympus. My gyro pita was dry and cracking and the while the meat was flavorful there was something cheap about the tzatziki. In a nicer sit down restaurant I would have sent it back. Our service was very slow and not smooth and the hot water refills were nice but my apple fritter was nothing to write home about — very plain, not flavorful, even warmed up it wasn’t that hot. All in all I probably would not return. There are much nicer lunch/dinner spots on Castro.

Understaffed is an understatement. Showed up to Olympus at 10:00 am today and the place was pretty crowded. I ordered a Cobb Salad, box of pre-made Macaroons, and two Cannoli’s. I sat there and watched three gentlemen walk around trying to get all the guest their orders. Out of the 50 people scattered around the patio, half came up to the register and complained their food was taking too long. The servers had no idea what to do and seemed very lost and stressed. I alone waited 28 minutes for my order. I too finally approached after seeing so many people complain and asked where my food was. THEWHOLETIME my food was sitting in to-go boxes right behind the register. Not one server thought to tell me it was ready or look to find my table number to give me my food. If I didn’t ask them I would have waited probably another 20 minutes without getting acknowledge once. I even overheard a girl ask a server if the manager was in and he rudely said«no not yet» and turned his back and walked away. She looked at me and said«Well I am never coming back again»… Girl, that makes two of us! STAYAWAY at all cost! My salad was disgusting. Very rushed and not worth the 13 $. overall I spent 30 $ and it was such a waste. Salad was pulled from a bag and was dry as can be. The chicken almost broke my tooth it was so overcooked. The egg tasted old and had that horrible smell attached to it. And the dressing was overloaded with vinegar it hurt to eat. Long story short, don’t go if you’re looking for quality food and good service in a timely fashion because this place doesn’t have either.

This was one of those places that was on my list for a while but I never got around checking it out since it is close to home. I can’t believe I waited so long to try this place. Food: Breakfast all day(they got me in already with this). Lot of different items on the menu to try, many mediterranean and turkish specialities that are not available in other places. They also serve standard breakfast and lunch(soup, sandwich, etc.) as well, for those who want to stick to American dishes. Plenty of bakery items, mostly turkish treats. I tried Revani and that was the best of all the other items that I tried. We also tried the Gyro omelette and Kavurmali Yumurta. The latter wasn’t too great. Seating/Ambiance: Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. The ambiance inside is pretty good. This might be my goto breakfast/coffee place now. Reducing one star because I was supposed to get pita bread along with my dish but the server forgot to bring it. He mentioned, it was on the way when he first came to serve the food but never came back. The place was fairly empty when I went and there were plenty of staff, so it was kinda odd that they forgot my side order.

Ordered a baklava and flan cake. Baklava wasn’t too bad, slightly soggy, not sure why. Inside had crushed up pistachios. If it was crispier, it would’ve been 10 times better! Flan Cake: thickly made flan placed above a thin piece of chocolate cake. Decadent but not overly sweet. Great combo! Would definitely get it again!

They do not hesitate to sell outdated products(baked 2 – 3 days ago). Prices getting higher now. My toleration is about to exhausted for Olympus.

I’ve eating breakfast here once and dinner here once. Dinner was good, as was breakfast, although their idea of sausage is literally a hot dog. Despite that being off-putting, the food is really good.

I got a piece of tiramisu cake and it was good but a little pricey for $ 5.45. I also got Turkish coffee which made me gag. Let’s just say it’s not my cup of tea. Staff were super friendly

Breakfast done right: with variety, freshness, and good value. Olympus café has become my go to diner for grabbing breakfast before my morning commute at the nearby train station. Whether I want something light or heavy to eat, Olympus has my back with a side order of freshley made Turkish coffee. The diner is primarily focused on Turkish and other Mediterranean dishes, but if that isn’t your cup of tea, they offer a selection of classic American dishes such as pancakes, burgers, and fries. But do yourself a favor and try some of their specialties for a treat, regardless if it’s breakfast, lunch, or dinner. You’ll be pleasantly surprised.

This place is my go-to Summertime post-Farmer’s Market brunch spot! Located conveniently at the end of Castro nearest to the Caltrain station, it’s a wonderful outdoorsy(but indoors if you’re cold) spot for delicious breakfast and lunch options! The outdoor patio area has ample shade and the wait staff is constantly adjusting umbrellas to provide maximum comfort for the diners. Go-to breakfast options are the Turkish and Greek breakfasts — both very light and varied and is reminiscent of eating fancy lunchables(I kind of love to play with my food). The Turkish and Greek breakfasts have some bread with honey, some proteins, vegetables, and yogurt. I really don’t know what they eat for breakfast in Turkey or Greece, but the Mediterranean meal is known for being nutritious and clean at the same time and I do attribute those features to these breakfasts!

I came here twice in a day, not because I like this place but just happened. I got a chicken pita sandwich and chicken panini, both came with a side salad. Chicken pita was full of leaves and yogurt sauce, making it very difficult to grab and eat. Pita was not what I expected, thin and flimsy, not the one I am used to. Side salad was not fresh, greens were wilted. Chicken panini was better compared to the pita. Chicken was bit under seasoned, need some more flavor. Salad was the same old, didn’t even touch it. I thought second time would be better but turned out to be just as disappointing. Don’t bother to come.

Location is great, ambiance is casual and food is tasty. It’s a good place to stop for lunch or a quick dinner on a weekday. Their food was very good and entrees were fairly priced — we got two of their entrees and dessert(baklava) and paid $ 15 per person including tax and tip. There is some sort of service here, which I didn’t expect since it looks more like a casual café, but it’s nothing upscale. They also give you free WiFi access. Overall, I feel that the mixed reviews of this places come more from an identity crisis, is this place just a café or a restaurant? Is it a dinner place? I think of it as a solid coffee shop with very tasty food, but if you come for dinner and judge it as a restaurant, you’ll probably be disappointed.

I wanted to give this place more stars because I actually come here pretty often. Really, I could even give them a half star more if Unilocal allowed it. The food is great, the desserts always taste fresh and the coffee is fairly good. However, I’m fairly picky when it comes to service. The service is fast however I always see new employees when I come here and they seem a little out of it. I asked for coffee with my breakfast instead of before it and we talked about it for a whole 30s and then it was brought out as soon as we sat down. They did take my coffee back and remake it, but the cup it came back in had a dirty handle, ugh! The food is great though– we ordered the shakshuka and menemen and they were both very tasty. They even made the shakshuka with egg whites per my preference. Best breakfast on a cold November morning!

If you love Turkish breads and pastries, you simply must visit Olympus Café in downtown Mountain View. They have a wonderful selection of fresh made Turkish staples that go way beyond baklava and spanikopita. Golzeme, Su Boregi, Acma, Simit(that round seeded bread), and so many others make for a delightful breakfast served alongside a pot of Turkish tea or coffee. Their menu is actually really extensive and they also serve American, Greek and Turkish breakfast, lunch and dinner. Literally everything from omelets and french toast, to burgers, salads, pitas, pastas, crepes, waffles and more. A little overwhelming actually. I’m not sure how they manage to pull that off, but at least there is something for everyone. Free wifi is a huge plus, making this a great place to get some work done or hang out while you’re waiting for Cal Train(which is located right across the street). Casual café atmosphere. Lots of outdoor seating. I had passed by Olympus hundreds of times and always assumed they just served Greek food. I didn’t think much of it because I have my go-to spots for this type of cuisine… aaaand little did I know I missing out all this time.

This is a nice little bakery in Mountain View. Suggested this place to a friend for brunch after looking up Unilocal reviews for brunch places on Castro St. We’d already tried Crepevine, probably too much. I had the veggie omelette with hash browns, turkish coffee, and burmali baklava. There was really nothing special about the omelette(it wasn’t anything to criticize though). The baklava was extremely authentic and probably what was worth coming here, and what will be the reason to come back in the future. The turkish coffee, for people who don’t know, is extremely strong. It was good coffee, but I am not usually an avid drinker, so don’t get this if you aren’t a fan of strong coffee. Also, most of the desserts look very good and I definitely want to come back to try them.

Love this place! My friends brought me here for breakfast on my last morning in California. I had been trying multiple restaurants on Castro st and this one might be one of my favorites. I had the turkish breakfast and my friends had the omelette. We also ordered some pastries. More food than needed for sure. The borek was delicious, the cheese rolls(sigara boregi) was very authentic. They had a cake called Revani(which arabs call Sfouf) which was so good. The outdoor area(in the california sun) was amazing. Will definitely come back here!

FOOD: I got the chocolate croissant here and I really liked that. I also got a cinnamon pretzel type of pastry and I didn’t like it at all because it was so full of cinnamon on the inside. I asked the employee if she recommended anything in particular and she couldn’t name one thing she really loved. I should’ve saw that as a sign to not get anything. The pastries all seem interesting and special since they are all special and unique but for my normal & super«basic» taste buds, I didn’t care for anything here. I would only suggest the chocolate & hazelnut croissant. That is pretty good but nothing else. SERVICE: The girl at the cash register took forever to ring up the people in front of me. She was so slow! WOULD I RECOMMENDIT? No, the service is too slow.

I was leaning on giving this place two stars, but I felt the food was good enough to give this place a slight bump. We decided to eat outside for a nice little lunch as it was pretty damn warm and they had shaded outside seats. It’s a beautiful day, so why not? We ordered inside and got some baked goods and some lemonade and coffee. Simple order right? We waited nearly 20 minutes with our number before the desserts that are made and lemonade and coffee came out. Yes, 20 minutes for desserts, coffee, and lemonade. The desserts were all great. Quality product without a doubt. The lemonade was probably the most iced down lemonade I had ever had in my entire life. While very tasty, I finished it with only a few sips. No good. Also, the two tables to our left were never cleaned for the entire time we were there and we sat down for awhile. Not exactly efficient or hygienic. Good to work guys! Overall, while the food was good, the place needs either more staff, or better staff. I was very close to giving this only two stars, but the cannoli was that good.
