Israel’s Tire and Alignment

Great person does everything for a great price. I bring my 83 supra to get my tires installed and their is never a problem when im driving the car.

This is one of the BEST services I ever had. Israel is a very nice man he was very helpful. I called in asking for a quote for my Toyota corolla and I ended up going to him to get my tire alignment. He found a problem and fixed it for me at a very reasonable price. My care is running smoothly now I will most definitely going back to him for future work I need on my car. I liked Israel because he was very straight forward with me telling me whats going on with my car and didn’t try to convince me to get other work done on my car that was not necessary. I highly recommend this place! Also it was fast service barely any wait time which was perfect!

I have to admit that I was skeptical/​hopeful about Israel’s place because some of the previous reviews but I definitely came out on top.
Israel is straight forward and to the point. He wasn’t trying to «pull a fast one» on me like some of the other reviewers had claimed he had done to them.
I brought up the harsh reviews when I spoke to him in person and he responded with, «You can’t please everyone…» which I can completely identify with.
The service itself was quite fast; 40 minutes to remove the old set and mount the new set.

Fast and friendly service. I was done with a tire replacement by the time I downloaded this app.

I came in today for an oil change Israel is a very polite and efficient person to go too. He had me out of there within a couple of minutes of arriving. Not to mention there are other tire shops around this business but you won’t get great service like this one!

I take my Honda Civic to Israel for alignment, he really did good job,
i visit couple places before and they give me big estimated because my car has accident before I really recommended this place owner Israel is really friendly and honest person, reasonable prices, i have tho months already with no problems my car runs amazing very straigt Tanks a lot

Great service. Bought a spare tire and wheel from them. They tested it to make sure it fit properly. Fast service. Saved me a 100 dollars.

Great service thanks Israel! This is my second time bringing a car to his shop. Both times he was very honest and priced reasonably. I just bought a used Camry and the alignment was off a bit. Its now riding straight. Thanks

Stay away. I pulled a flat off my truck and brought it to Israel for repair. As I live an hour away I was not familiar with his shop but he said he’d do it within the hour and that he’d call me when done. Three hours later, I still hadn’t heard from him so I went by his shop and found it closed. With my tire inside! Luckily the shop next door had his cel number. At least he answered his cel. He totally forgot about calling me. He tried to avoid coming back in to get my tire but I pretty much told him he had no choice as it was a Saturday and I had no way to get home to the East Bay without my tire. I will say that he came back in 15 minutes which was at least considerate but it turns out that he hadn’t done the tire. When I suggested that he go ahead and fix it he said it would take too long for him to do and it would be too hard to find the hole in the tire. (The hole was visible to the eye right in the tread!)
I left and went to Rich’s tires down the street. They fixed the tire in 3 minutes. Great guys.
Stay away from Israel. He should be out of business.

Going by Unilocal reviews, it looks like I’m the 6^th person (out of 11) to be swindled by Israel in the past two years. The difference here is that he tried to rip me off five times in one transaction, which has to be some kind of record.
As owners of certain Mazdas (3, 5) and Volvos (C30, S40, V50, C70) know, our cars are cursed with the rear suspension of the Ford Focus, which has a fixed «negative camber» design (meaning the rear wheels tilt inward at the top) that causes rapid tire wear. So I bought some adjustable rear control arms to address this, which called for getting an alignment.
Israel told me he’d do the job for $ 80. But then:
1. When he printed out the paperwork two minutes later, the estimate read $ 100.
2. He called me TWO DAYS later to tell me nothing had been done.
3. …because the job is «a lot harder» than he expected, partly because he had to REMOVE THE WHEELS (OMFG NOT THAT!). He then said it would cost an extra $ 100 because he wants to «do it right» (apparently that costs extra). After I said I’d rather take it somewhere else, he tried lowering the BS surcharge to $ 40, then eventually gave up and dropped it. I still said no anyway, mainly because everyone in the online world said it’s an easy job.
4. As I drove my car away, I noticed it now had a loud, obvious creaking noise. So he’s either totally incompetent, or he sabotaged it.
5. When I went back to ask him what he did that could cause this, he reversed his story by claiming he «never did anything».
Then he told me to «get the fuck out of his shop». A real class act, this Israel.
There are plenty of mechanics on Old Middlefield. If you’re aching to be scammed, lied to, and have your time wasted & your car damaged, come to this one.

Israel is awesome. I bought tires off of TireRack and had them shipped to his shop. They were balanced and installed and the alignment was done by the time I walked to Los Altos taqueria (just down the street), ate, and walked back. Excellent service and I am definitely coming back.

Just got new tires from Costco and I stopped by this shop to get an alignment. The service was great, very accommodating and friendly. They called me back 30 minutes after dropping off the car and told me that my right rear wheel bearing needed to be replaced. I didn’t want to commit to getting this fixed because I was not from the area, in case it needed to be at the shop overnight.
As soon as I got to the shop, he provided me with a quote much higher than where I normally go get my car serviced (van ness auto body). I saved over a hundred dollars, I paid $ 350 for parts and labor for my wheel bearing, whereas this shop would’ve cost me $ 380 for the parts and $ 107 for labor, a total of $ 487.
I give this place one star because I came out of the shop with nothing completed, but a $ 40 (half the price of what I would’ve paid for an alignment) labor charge.

Came to Israel to get a RFT patched. He was able to patch, mount and balance my tire in minutes and saved me a ton of cash over buying a new tire like the dealer demands.

Over the last 4 years I’ve been here 3 times:
1-​Got all tires swapped to ones bought on the internet
2-​Fixed a leak caused by driving over a screw.
3-​Fixed an alignment issue causing one tire to wear much faster than the other 3.
Each time I was able to call ahead, drop off the car and come back after a couple hours. Each time I was really happy with the result and the price.
He’s a small shop and can only work on a couple cars at a time, so trying to fit in his schedule makes a big difference. If he’s busy, just try again another day.
I was lucky that I used to work nearby, but this last visit it was still worth driving up for him to work on it. I was lucky that I got there before the line of customers started.
Israel is my go to guy for tire issues. As long as you don’t expect him waiting on you hand and foot, or expect service like a restaurant, he’s dependable and cheap.

I would give this place zero stars if it were an option. This was a total scam — bait and switch. Here are the pure details; you be the judge. I called for a quote for ball joints and bushings. He quoted ½ of any other shop ($ 480 for all 4 on my Mercedes including the wheel alignment). I said, check your computer and I’ll call back to be sure he really could do it for that cost (all 4 ball joints and bushings). He confirmed. When I dropped it off on a Monday, again he confirmed the price. He was also going to change out the broken center console air vent (I had the part) and change the coolant. The next day I called an he said he received the wrong parts. The next day the same thing and again the following day. 3 times they supposedly delivered the wrong parts and each time it took a whole day to get new parts. Odd since it usually only takes a couple of hours for most shops to get most parts delivered. My car sat at his shop for 4 days and he hadn’t even started the other work. He had other customers come in and he didn’t want to lose that business so my car just sat there. Finally on Friday he started the ball joints and bushings. After it was in process at 2 PM on Friday afternoon, he called and said that he couldn’t do it for that price and then quoted me a new price of $ 720 but only for the front ball joints (no bushings or rear ball joints), the A/​C vent and coolant. I asked for the break down of the price increase which he didn’t want to give me. After arguing with him, he’d added $ 89 for the wheel alignment (was supposed to be included), he increased the coolant change by $ 20 and he doubled the price to change the center AC vent. And I was only getting front ball joints (no rear or bushings as originally quoted). At 2 PM on Friday, with my car already apart, I told him to just do the 2 front ball joints and to not touch anything else. Then his printer wasn’t working and he didn’t want to give me a receipt. I made him hand write one and told him I’d be back on Monday to get the real receipt (I did go back and get one). I ended up spending over $ 400 for ¼ of the work than was originally quoted at $ 480. Worse was the time an energy expended for dealing with such a terrible businessman. Total scammer!

Spent 1 hour there to try to get an alignment done. He said the suspension is getting in the way, so he needs additional 20 minutes and $ 60 more to get the job done. I took the car without the repair and count the hour wasted.

Not sure why I was charged $ 100 to replace two front tires on my X5 but as I learned later other places charge this much but including allignment!!! Total rip off.

Totally recommend this place. I got 4 new tires, alignment and an oil change. After walking out to my car in the morning to find a flat, I called Israel’s, and he was able to take my car that day. Great prices, speedy service, friendly staff… I’d definitely go here for any car work. To prove how trusty this guy is… I left my purse with my laptop and e-​reader in his lobby, and he called me immediately (even though they had closed) to come get it back!
