History

Established in 1975.

FCC Collision Centers owner, Adam Piper, started in the auto body business as a repairman in the 1970’s. In 1975 he purchased his own small business and then in 1987 expanded to the current Mountain View location. As a result of productive business growth, a second location was opened in Milpitas in 1995. Adam’s two older sons now work with him, as managers and partners, with Matt Piper in Mountain View and Jason Piper in Milpitas.

Hi– My name is Matt Piper. Along with my brother Jason Piper and my dad Adam Piper, I am co-​owner of 3 collision repair businesses, 1 in Milpitas, 1 in Mtn. View, and 1 in Sunnyvale. I am responsible for the operation of the Mtn. View store. We are passionate about developing solutions and creating processes to refine the collision repair experience to provide the best results with regards to quality, timeliness, and customer service. I have no reservations about saying that our company is among the best in the business. I have worked at over 8 collision repair stores and have been able to integrate the best aspects of each into our family business. I had an accident where the rear left door on my Toyota had to be replaced. To cut a long story short, FCC was recommended to me by my boss and Mike Privitt made it my experience pleasant. Within a week I had my car back. They even arrange for the rental and manage all paperwork with insurance.
Update: 6 months later, there was a noise every time you opened the rear door. I was upset. However my concerns were unfounded. I took the car to FCC. Nelson said he will have it fixed in 5 minutes. Voila, within 5 minutes I had my car, the rear door had a loose strut. Fixed and good as new, for FREE! That’s customer service.
I researched many repair shops before I selected FCC. They may charge you a premium, but you get a guarantee and peace of mind. You are treated well, and updated on every aspect of your repair with emails, texts, images and can rest assured you are not being shafted.

Everyone is super friendly. They had my bumper replaced within one day (the bumper came in paint). And they email me with updates of the car constantly. Also they help you get a rental car and you can even drop it off at their place for the car return. Very happy with my choice. Highly recommend.

Could not ask for better customer service or repair job. From my initial contact with Cindy answering the phone to Mike Privitt performing estimate, dealing with insurance company and overseeing repairs to washing and detailing my car following repairs, to ongoing text messages keeping me apprised of progress, I am totally impressed. They even gave me a ride home and picked me up. Definitely recommend FCC and agree with «The Voice» poll as The Best of Mountain View!

I got in a minor fender bender in my 2013 Camry. AAA recommended FCC to me. Mike had my estimate done within minutes! Took my car back that following Monday for service (I had to wait for my insurance company to do their thing). Received a call the next day, saying they were ahead of schedule and my car was done. They did a fantastic job! They even detailed the inside and outside! I highly recommend FCC!!!

I have recently had some body work done for my Nissan Leaf and I am simply impressed with the level of professionalism and customer care shown by FCC staff. Particularly Jessie Reusch who handled my case was extremely helpful. She handled everything including the insurance paperwork and even helped me get a rental for when my car was in the shop. She made everything so smooth that i had NO disruption for having my card in the shop. And as always the work done by them was meticulous.

I’m editing this whole review to condense it a bit.
When I first dropped off my car for a bumper repair, everything went well. The staff was nice, and they and Enterprise coordinated beautifully for my rental. Upon picking up my car, the work was not up to par (see the picture I posted of the runs and bubbles). I also noticed that a previously undamaged area of my car had some paint damage, but I had no proof that it happened under FCC’s care.
After posting a less-​than-​stellar review, FCC contacted me immediately to bring the car back in with another rental provided on the house. They repainted both areas without question as to where the other damage happened, and they detailed the car to a level surpassing even my best expectations. I’m very happy that Matt and Raul worked with me to get everything right, and I would definitely recommend FCC at this point, with the caveat that everyone is human and everyone makes mistakes, so give them some time to work with you if there is an issue. They’re always out to make sure you’re satisfied.

I had a great experience with these guys and my experience was completely opposite of Jamie A.‘s experience. I think they (specifically, Mike) went above and beyond and was so willing to help me out when an issue arose.
I’d been rear ended and AAA gave me a list of shops around my office as part of their direct network repair shops. I went with FCC because it was two blocks from my office and they had fairly consistent reviews on Unilocal.
I brought it in and Mike did a thorough check of the damages then told me he’d send me an estimate and order parts. Then, I could bring my car in. The estimate came out to be ~$ 1k, which I thought was pretty steep for replacing the bumper. I think Cliff C. makes a good point though; even though insurance was covering everything for me, the resale value of my car will be affected by the way they charge the damages.
I brought my car in on a Tuesday and they kept me updated with texts. I went in to pick up the car on Friday. Stupid stupid me, I was only concerned about my new shiny rear bumper so when Mike went over what they did with it, I was only paying attention to the bumper and what he was saying. I didn’t do a walk around my car to check for other things.
I drove straight back to work and had my car parked there ’til I went home. When I got home, I noticed a TON of paint splatter all over the hood and on the front bumper of my car. The paint came off easily on the body, but where it had splattered on the plastic bumper, it was really hard to get off. I did a walk around my car and then also noticed a scratch on my passenger side mirror that wasn’t there before (it’s a fairly new car so it hasn’t sustained terrible scratches yet). Of course, I immediately think that these two things were a byproduct of having my car in the shop and that I was so stupid for not doing a walk-​around before I left. I e-​mailed Mike immediately and asked to bring in my car on Monday.
He was totally receptive and wasn’t defensive at all. He told me to bring my car back so he could check it out. He mentioned that (even though I had not done one) he had taken a walk around my car before he handed my keys back and he definitely would not have given my car back to me in that condition (the paint splatter marks were super obvious and VERY distinctive). The only other reason I could think of what caused those paint marks was if a painter or contractor at my office had accidentally splattered paint near my car but my office manager told me we didn’t have anyone on-​site that day. Regardless, Mike took my car and pressure washed the paint off and got the scuff out of my passenger side mirror as well. It wasn’t something that I could prove happened while my car was in their hands, but I was VERY appreciative of the fact that he took ownership of this and helped me out here. That’s where my experience disagrees with Jamie A.‘s – they went above and beyond and didn’t try to argue with me tooth and nail for responsibility. I’ll be coming back to them for my other auto needs in the future.

We went to FCC Mt. View shop for a minor repair on rear bumper. It cost about $ 600. The job was almost perfect to get a 5-​star rating, however, 1-​star was taken out due to a tiny scratch that did not taken care of when picking up the car. We had to made a 2nd visit to the shop to get it removed.
The scratch should have been repaired but no one noticed it until the car was washed. My husband noticed the scratch when the time he picking it up and questioned about it. A gentleman told him that the scratch was existed before the accident (Not true! It was caused by the accident and it should have repaired as well !). Since the man did not offer to repair it, we were so upset by his response and decided to ask Mike for help in the next day instead. Mike was very helpful as he offered to repair it right away if it could be done. Since it was just a minor scratch, Mike removed the scratch within 10 mins while we were there. Thanks Mike for the wonderful work!

Totally exceeded my expectations! I came to FCC to fix a minor dent in my car. FCC impressed me from the first point of contact. As soon as the insurance company routed my claim to FCC, they called me within 30 minutes to set up an estimate. They wanted to get started right away! Once I scheduled to drop my car off for the repair, they offered to arrange the details for my rental car. During the repair, the texted me updates and photos of my car’s progress daily. My car was completed on time (a little early, in fact) and they even offered to drop off my rental car for me. When I picked up my car, not only was it fixed, but it was also washed from the inside out! What a bonus. If I ever need a car repair again, I will definitely be coming to FCC.

Ok, so a body shop is like an ER ward — you hope that you don’t need to go but if you ever need to, you really want the experience to be fantastic since the situation you are in is already likely to be stressful. FCC were all that and more.
From the time I called them up to schedule an appointment (My car needed some body and paint work from a parking garage incident), to the time I picked my car up, everything was A+. Pedro did a great job on the estimate, they got someone to drop me off when I left my car at the shop and they even returned the rental car for me. Cannot complain about anything! Everything was absolutely fantastic.
And the service itself was great. Car looked good as new and they even cleaned it up inside out. Absolutely no complaints. Ironically, I wish I don’t have to use their services again but if someone does need a body shop, I would recommend them without reservations.

I was recently rear ended and brought my Nissan Versa to Matt at FCC Mountain View to get looked at. I was a bit frustrated at being hit being as it’s a new car, but he made my repair experience as pleasurable as it could possibly be.
He did an estimate, pointed out all areas that needed to repaired, explained in detail what needed to be done, contacted the other guys insurance company and had me in a rent a car and on my way in literally no time at all.
Though an annoying situation to have to deal with, he made it as easy and painless as possible for me. Thank you Matt and all at FCC Mountain view!

Ok, so I’m not such a great driver. Been to FCC 3 times, once under insurance for a big thing and 2x on my own for small dings. Service and quality were consistent all 3 times.
They are fast, friendly, and professional. The Milpitas location is even conveniently located next door to a car rental place!

my fiancé got rear ended by an SUV during commute hours, the bumper got misaligned, scratched up pretty bad, and cracked, and our rear trunk lid was bent. Showed up for a evaluation on Friday morning, Pedro helped out pretty quickly, took some pics, and told us they would order the part. Monday morning we dropped off the car, they arranged Hertz to pick us up in a rental car, and we left our baby in their hands. They did a great job of texting us updates, and low and behold, Wednesday afternoon our car was ready! Pedro showed us the before and after pics, and even buffed out some other scratches on our car. The bumper is flawless, the trunk back in shape, and the paint all looks perfect. They even washed and cleaned the inside of our car… just perfect service. And, they let us leave the rental car and took care of returning it for us.

I was recently in a small accident and decided to take my car to FCC based on the other Unilocal reviews.
Overall, the experience was great. I was in an accident and the other person’s insurance was paying, but FCC took care of everything and made it very easy for me. My car was done 3 days before they estimated and Pedro called while it was getting fixed to update me. I loved that my car was thoroughly cleaned, inside and out, when I got it back. They do great work and my car looks like new. I will definitely return to FCC if I need any additional work done.

Got into a minor accident and found FCC via Unilocal.They did an awesome job with the repairs and when the car was finished, I noticed that it had gotten a thorough cleaning. Pedro even offered to fix up a small dent that wasn’t related to the accident for free! Very professional and repairs were performed in a timely manner.
Will definitely come back here if I need to.
