History
Established in 1996.
The Day Worker Center of Mountain view is a non-profit organization that connects day workers and employers with dignity. The Center was established by local business people, community members, and church leaders to provide job-matching services for hundreds of local homeowners and businesses annually. We help employers find reliable, skilled and friendly workers, while empowering workers to improve their socio-economic condition through education, advocacy, and job-skills training.
All workers and employers are registered with the Center and many have a long history of reliable and courteous service. The Center asks each employer for feedback and tracks each worker’s performance. Both parties benefit from an orderly hiring system, clear pay expectations, and a bilingual staff to facilitate communication.
The Center charges no fees to workers or people who hire them. We provide a dignified setting in which to connect workers and employers.
We look forward to serving your needs!
