POOF DONE is a scheduled-​service resource for residential and commercial customers on the Peninsula. We specialize in small-​scale projects and services that fall beneath the scope of general contractors, but that often exceed the capabilities or time constraints of do-​it-​yourselvers. We charge by the hour so can come in and check all of the items off your «to do» list without breaking the bank.

I started helping friends and neighbors with everything from cleaning up their computers to building sheds. Many commented on their need for an honest handy-​person who A) returns e-​mail and B) doesn’t make you feel like you’re being taken advantage of and C) shows up when they say they will. Poof DONE! is the result of that need.

This review is long overdue. I think I subconsciously wanted to keep Brett a secret because we wanted to keep him to ourselves.
My husband and I have been using Poof Done services for over 3 years now because we know Brett makes things happen. After moving into a house, we realized keeping up with all the fix-​it projects was too overwhelming. Brett helped to relieve some of the issues by fixing many of the problems caused by subpar contract work.
Brett does quality work. He is meticulous, honest, has a wide range of knowledge on almost every part of the house and is great to talk to.
His service isn’t cheap but it’s worth the money to get things done right. Brett even completed a few jobs for us that ended up saving us thousands of dollars (ie. HVAC balancing and countertop installation). We definitely plan to continue as long time clients of his.

Brett is phenomenal! He’s our guy for all our home needs. He’s professional, brilliant, hardworking and honest. He is also meticulous in his work, takes great pride in his craft. He also specializes in baby proofing which is key if you have kids. He’s great to work with, I highly recommend Brett!

Brett was great! He did some dry wall repair work in a closet that we are converting to a wine room. He was reliable, knowledgeable and friendly. Now I know who to call when I need handyman work done around the house.

Brett is the man. Super nice, very professional, and damn good at what he does. My wife found Brett on Unilocal and scheduled a time for him to come and remove our glass shower doors. We have two small kids and it was a real pain trying to give them a bath when we only had access to half the bath tub due to how the shower doors opened.
Brett, in only a couple hours, had completely removed the shower doors, metal frame, all the sealant and then filled all the holes left over from the metal frame. He capped it off by installing a shower rod. He also cleaned up his work area. He even took small breaks to play with my kids (who were fascinated by all his scraping and drilling)! :)
The most important thing to know about Brett is that he is an honest guy doing honest work. His prices are beyond fair, and he’s very transparent with what costs what. I hope to be able to book him for more jobs in the future.

Brett is awesome. Professional, pleasant, courteous, honest, and meticulous. We’ve had him do several projects for us, and he’s just consistently top-​notch. He’s careful and skilled and his work is superb. He’s a legitimate craftsman. He’s honest enough to tell you when something is better left to a specialist, and very fairly priced. Honestly, for the extraordinary quality of his work and the delight he is to work with — he should charge more. We’d happily pay it. Bottom-​line: super nice guy, high integrity, good at what he does. He’s made home ownership and life easier: call Brett and it really is «poof, done.»

We have used Brett for two jobs and will be using him for another job tomorrow and many more. He is on time, precise and neat with his work and always has a smile on his face. He is knowledgeable and just a joy to work with. I am so glad we have found him. Brett of Poof Done put up all of our outdoor Christmas decorations and they look fantastic! AND now we have all the little hidden hooks up for the lights so it should be super easy next year. He was quick too. It would have taken me all weekend (and possibly a visit to the ER) to do what he did in little over an hour. I can’t wait to make a list of what else we need done. Will definitely be calling him again!

What a nice experience. I was extremely please with Brett. He was on time, polite and went above and beyond to fix the issues I had in my home. I’ve called several other handy man services and some of them call back and some of them even show up to give you an estimate but then nothing. Well Brett is far from that. He is very detail oriented, cares about his work and like he says no job is too small for him. I had several other people look at a problem with my screen doors and all of them said we needed to replace the rollers, but not Brett, he found that the rollers were just off the track and quickly popped it back in. He cleaned the rails and then oiled them too. Additionally Brett mounted a flat screen TV and although that smaller job appeared to be a bit more complex that did not faze him one bit. He measured, looked for studs, measured, and measured again until perfection. Our TV was mounted, I was happy. I highly recommend Brett for those individuals out there that just can’t get to everything on their to do list. Well worth the call and it is money well spent.

If you are looking for a great handyman, look no further, call Brett. The first job that we had Brett work on was when we had purchased a new refrigerator. It turned out to be about an inch too tall for the opening in our cabinets.
Brett was able to raise/​re-​size the cabinet box above the fridge and gain the one inch that we needed. He also cut down the cabinet doors and somehow replaced the edging. They look perfect!
I was so happy with the work, that I started looking for projects for him to work on. I was able to talk Brett into building me a custom shed that runs along the narrow side-​yard between mine and my neighbors house. Brett built a 15′ x 8′ x 3′ shed that is perfect for storing my kid’s bikes, spare sets of wheels/​tires for my cars, etc. He added an electrical outlet and fluorescent lighting. He even painted it to match my house. This thing is so solid it is going to out last my house!
I believe this job was bigger than what Brett normally does, but he was able to do it quickly and within my budget.
I highly recommend Brett’s services. He’s great to work with. If you want something done right, call Brett!
