I’ve had two gum graft surgeries with Dr. Nelson. Both experiences were great. The office staff are wonderful and Dr. Nelson is also great. I would highly recommend the office to others. The care and attention to detail were top notch!

Last year, my regular dentist suggested that I see a periodontist for my gum recession. I went for a consultation to a periodontist suggested by someone, and he suggested osseous surgery on each of the four quadrants in my mouth (four operations). However, I did not like that periodontist, because I did not feel that he was thorough enough, and also his price was quite a bit higher than what the insurance said was customary. After hours of researching and calling periodonists from the insurance website, I decided to try Dr. Nelson, because he had excellent education and credentials and because his office assistant was incredibly helpful. So, I went for a second consultation; this time with Dr. Nelson. I was delighted and amazed with how thorough, patient, and pleasant Dr. Nelson was. He also suggested osseous surgery in the four quadrants. So far, I have had two surgeries, one in November and one in February, both with Dr. Nelson. He did an outstanding job in both, and I am a happy camper. Meanwhile, I sent my son and my wife to him for various periodontal issue, and they were just as delighted. Dr. Nelson is very competent, honest, and kind.

Dr. Nelson staff were so pleasant and professional. I went to him with a failed implant and he immediately squeezed me in and removed it, and with no pain. I am so happy to have found him, I will be having place my new implant. Thanks you Dr. Nelson, you are a true professional.

I recently had to get a gum graft and Doctor Nelson was recommended to me by my regular dentist. The procedure did not sound like much fun despite the assurances of many of my friends who’d had the same work done at other dentists. Prior to the surgery, Doctor Nelson was very thorough and took his time to explain exactly what would happen and how long it would take. His care and professionalism went a long way to calming my nerves when I laid back in the chair and he got to work. The procedure was nowhere near as nerve wracking as I thought it would be. I was in no pain and Doctor Nelson and his assistant Janice kept me in the loop on everything that was happening. The great thing about Doctor Nelson is that he is really responsive to his patients! I emailed him a few times during my recovery to ask questions and he got back to me within minutes with all the information I needed. Right now, it’s been a little over two weeks since my surgery and my gums look and feel great! I have to go back next year for one more procedure and even though I’m not looking forward to it, I’m not freaked out about it either. My experience with Doctor Nelson was superb! Highly recommended.

Great dentist, I had gum recession & he did a superb job. Had the same surgery prior year on two other teeth by another dentist and his results were far superior. I highly recommend him.

Back for my annual check up. Make the right decision don’t risk by going to the other implant chain, give Dr. Nelson a visit and YOU will be happy that you did!
He and his staff are very personable and accommodating.

In a market saturated with dental professionals, Dr. Nelson stands out. A second generation periodontist, he was listed on my insurance plan’s website. I went to him for gum grafting surgery. I tend to ask a lot of questions, both before and during procedures, and he always stopped to answer each one and make sure I was okay.
The procedure itself was 100x easier than I expected. Would definitely recommend Dr. Nelson!

I had some dental pain, and went into Dr. Nelson’s office. He is very professional, and made me feel at ease. He diagnosed my dental problem quickly, when other dentists were not able to.
He is very gentle, caring, compassionate, and I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a great dentist.

Dr. Nelson is BY FAR the best dentist/​periodontist I have ever seen!!! I have been experiencing terrible teeth sensitivity for the past few years and finally dragged myself to see Dr. Nelson. I was feeling a bit embarrassed for not having seen a dentist in several years after my previous graft (from a different periodontist) started to fail but Dr. Nelson showed no judgement and made me feel very comfortable.
During the exam, I was so impressed that Dr. Nelson was very careful to not exacerbate my teeth sensitivity while still being thorough (which is no easy task). He really takes care of his patients and wants to make sure they have a good experience seeing him. I’m a VERY talkative person and Dr. Nelson patiently stopped examining me each time I tried to talk so he could make sure to understand what I was saying! He also had to put some fluoride on my exposed roots, which I heard is quite painful, and Dr. Nelson did a great job explaining the process to me, as well as the benefits. I knew exactly what to expect and it wasn’t as painful as I feared, and is now helping with my sensitivity!!!
Dr. Nelson has a calm, thoughtful, peaceful demeanor which immediately put me at ease in his presence, and has confidence that lets you know you are in good hands. Per my research, I knew Dr. Nelson hailed from top schools and is bright and competent, but after my visit I also know he has the demeanor and communication skills to match!!! I will definitely be scheduling my graft repair surgeries with Dr. Nelson as I know he will do a great job!!!
Cool fact: Dr. Nelson has some gorgeous photographs in his patient rooms and after asking him about the photographs, I found out that the pictures are actually taken by him — photography is a hobby of his and adds a personal touch to his office!
