Disappointed by the poor customer service. Came into the store 20minutes before they closed and no one was there. Finally ten minutes after someone shows up to tell me that the design section closes at 5:30 and not 6 as listed on Unilocal.I told him they should change the times on Unilocal as I rushed from work to come and he told me they don’t care about Unilocal since they want money. I thought it was a weird response but asked if he could help me and he said he has to close early as he has an appointment. I can appreciate he has an appointment however he was super unapologetic and borderline rude, as if I was bothering him. They lost my business.

Great job. Done on time on date promised. Matt Sumrall helped me. He took his time showing me different frames and mattings for my enlarged photograph of Bryce Canyon park. The picture was meaningful to me because I had taken it on a hiking trip, and I wanted a nice framed photo to remember the trip. He suggested a pre-​made frame since I had a standard sized photo. This made the job reasonable in price. I would definitely go there again with any other photos I want framed. Go there during the week instead of the weekends. I hear it can get hectic.

I was rummaging through some old closet and came across some old prints I wanted to get framed.
I was really hoping to see Dianne Mannix again, but she regretfully has moved on.
Instead I worked with Kevin Micetich who was equally helpful and attentive as to the best way to frame the prints.
Kevin gave me the 30% discount on the frames which really helped out with the bottom line.
Kevin was great and the final framed and matted product was fantastic to hang on my wall.
They require 50% up front so be prepared in advance.

This place does a good job framing. I have had several paintings framed here. Frame prices appeared competitive with other moderate to high end frame shops. Diane (now retired) was diligent about following up and getting you what you want. I have dealt with two other guys (Kevin, Matt) that work there and responsiveness has been tardy. You have to keep calling or going to their shop to get results. Hoping they can find new staff like Diane! Because they are doing so well customer service make have taken a back seat.
My rating would have been 5, but in reality it’s now a 4 trending 3. It’s amazing how one person leaving can make a difference.

Dianne was very helpful.
Kevin, the owner, however took our measurements for an order and placed order without confirming with me. We later called in an spoke to Dianne and placed our official order and made payment.
When I arrived for pickup, they had 2 mirrors and Kevin told me to take my mirror and get out of his store!
Since then I have learned of many other stores in the area with better prices and staff.

This is a great local business with reasonable prices and a friendly, honest staff. My first time in the store, I purchased a frame for a concert poster. The next day, I received a message on LinkedIn from someone at the store. Turns out they had accidentally punched in the wrong price when I’d paid. Without my phone number or email on hand, they’d found me on LinkedIn to ask if I’d come back in for a refund. Now that’s good customer service!
The second time I went in, I was looking for a small frame for an old family photo with a uniquely intricate edge. After helping me select a frame, Diane (I assume, based on other reviews) said that while they could make a custom mat, the photo would look very nice if I just picked up some clear photo corners at Michael’s down the street. Plus, it would obviously be cheaper and take less time. I took her advice, and the result looks great.

I cannot say enough good things about this store. This is the second time I’ve brought them an important piece to be framed. Diane helped me immensely and made the best suggestions with how to frame a print I wanted to give as a gift. They have friendly and professional staff, an incredible selection of frames (both custom and ready-​frame) and really know their stuff. I always prefer to use a local business whenever possible, and this is by far the best framing store around.

This is my second excellent experience with this great local store. First time was early this year when I had two smaller photos custom framed into one frame. A woman (Diane?) helped me design the frame. She was friendly, creative, and super helpful, taking lots of time with me.
Today I had an 8×10 photo that was not good enough for a big investment, but which was going to be a gift so I wanted something of quality. A man helped me this time and was again helpful and friendly, listening to my desires and showing me cheap options until we came to a more expensive frame of great quality. He didn’t try to sell me, but I chose the quality frame for obvious reasons, and it was reasonable with their 30% promo discount.
I love that I have a small, local, friendly family run framing business so close to home.

They are the most wonderful and skilled people. We had a really complex custom framing job with a circular frame, triple matting, and the piece we were framing was an irreplaceable and incredibly delicate paper-​cut ketubah (Jewish marriage contract. They did an amazing job and it simply looks spectacular. So much better than we could have imagined. This is from now-​on the only place we’ll get any framing done. I super recommend it.

Great service — a potentially hard job made much easier after coming here.
I wanted to pick up a frame for a poster and potentially one for a collectible magazine — the lady who helped me asked a lot of questions, gave me a lot of options and even recommended Michael’s for more variety for things they didn’t carry.
Everything was explained clearly to my untrained ears, and she even tried out some ideas about framing the magazine.
I have gone to Michael’s before, and they have a big selection, but the friendliness and service here wins me over.
I’d make my first stop here for any framing job. The 30% framing discount (unexpected but very welcome) didn’t hurt either.

I had wedding photos that I wanted to custom mat and frame as Christmas gifts. I came the beginning of December, thinking this would be plenty of time, but they had signs promising orders 4 weeks out. I was really bummed. To my surprise, they took the photos and custom matted them while I was waiting! Cut and wrapped in plastic perfectly — ready for me to give as gifts. My other picture will be there for 4 weeks as it was a custom frame order. They are truly a great business and I will be a return customer for sure! Thank you for the extra care!!!

This is a wonderful local business. This is my second exceptional experience with Art & Frames Unlimited. My wife and I drove from Los Gatos to Mountain View to have my cherished family paintings professionally framed. We spent nearly an hour with the owners of the store selecting the perfect frames, they were extremely patient and enjoyed helping us find the perfect frames for our paintings that are over 100 years old. They have a pure love for art that comes out during the selection process.
We ended up choosing custom frames that had a 2 week wait, they were completed right on time and came out perfect. This is a nondescript storefront on an industrial section of Middlefield, but don’t let the exterior fool you, this is a high-​end custom framing shop.
