I wish this place was closer to where I live. Since I’ve moved to Chicago from So Cal, I’ve been really deprived of legit boba. My friends and I would frequent to Kung Fu when we really crave it but tbh, it’s not that good and it is quite expensive. Recently, a friend of mine discovered this hidden gem that’s located in the northwest burbs of Chicago area. We arrived on a Friday night, shortly before it was closing and ordered drinks and desserts. I got the golden milk tea w/rainbow jelly, and it was decent. But I really liked my friend’s passion fruit black tea so that’s what I’ll order from now on. A friend of mine also got the banana waffles and it was a big hit in my group of friends. Definitely check it out of you have a sweet tooth! They also sell snacks and other stuff but I wish they would sell popcorn chicken. I think popcorn chicken is only a So Cal thing but a girl can hope, right? Price is very reasonable, about $ 3 – 4 for a drink(no size difference, I believe). And minimum of $ 5 if you want to pay with credit card. The décor for this place is really cute, and quite hipster. I believe they provide wifi and this place would be a great place to study if only it was closer to me and open later in the night. The workers there are really sweet and welcoming. Bonus: they have a loyalty stamp card! Buy 10 drinks, get 1 free!

I stopped by for a quick juice, which they didn’t have, so I let myself get drawn into their menu and walked out with a mango black tea. It was one of the most delicious beverages I have ever experienced in my life. This tea had a wide tube straw and tiny pieces of mango at the bottom that came up through the straw as I drank it. I have never experienced this before and now I cannot consider living without it. Their coffee selection is expansive, quirky, and amazing. I am now a regular and will buy any Unilocalers a beverage if you catch me here. It’s the discovery of a lifetime!

Small café on a strip mall. Very tidy and cute. Tried a few of their drinks. The Smoothies are pretty good, not too chunky with ice is always a plus for us. As for the Fruit Teas, we’ve tried the Mango Green Tea & the Green Apple Green Tea. Both are yummy but the Green Apple is our favorite thus far. Tried some food. Bulgoki Onigiri is yummy. Not a fan of the waffle bread, it’s bread toasted on a waffle iron with a light honey glaze but perhaps it’ll be a hit with someone else. Overall we really like this little café. There’s always this one guy at the register… not sure if he’s the owner but he’s super nice and he’d always remind us to get stamps for the reward card. Love it! *note, regardless of how much you buy, they will only give you 2 stamps on the reward card.

Tried the iced milk tea and bingsoo. The milk tea was not overly sweet — just perfect! Unfortunately, the bingsoo was pretty bad. The ice wasn’t shaved down enough. We were chewing on ice chunks. And I wish there was a combo of toppings of some sort(mixed fruits? fruit + red bean? fruit + ice cream?) instead of making you choose just 1 fruit. Also, the renovations and décor are really modern, nice to look at, and the restaurant and bathroom are impeccably clean.

This is my second time at Café Koco and I officially love it. After eating spicy food from the place next door, my kids and I decided to get smoothies(yes, on a snowy/icy day. why not?) Tha place is small but it has a few tables for chatting and enjoying your orders and the interiors are simple, nice, and it feels«cozy» once you get inside. They both ordered Taro smoothies with tapioca and I tried the Hot Taro Milk Tea. I loved, really loved my Taro milk tea, it was just warm enough for me to still be able to chew on the amazing tapiocas, and the taro flavor mixed with milk… Mmmmmmm… So good! We also ordered the strawberry bingsu and this is a different and lighter take compared to the Bingsu we’ve tried from another Korean café. I will keep on going to Café Koco for how good they make their products, awesome service from the ownwer, clean and comfy place, and the vey reasonable prices. Woohoo!

This location is so close for me so I’m happy about that. Definitely a cute spot, decorated very nicely and so clean. I had the taro smoothie with honey tapioca which was so yummy. My husband had the mango smoothie with honey tapioca which was good. Tried the chicken curry rice ball which was so good and flavorful and also the bulgogi/kimchi rice ball which was good. I thought the chicken curry one was better though. Prices are reasonable also, definitely will be coming back often.

Came here for a café latte and their signature waffle rice cake. Absolutely amazing. I’ve been to many cafes in the US but Café Koco is by far the most impressive. The interior is clean, warm, and inviting — the atmosphere is very relaxed. The owners provide fantastic service and their food offerings are top notch. All of their drinks are good but be sure to order the waffle rice cake. You cant get them anywhere else! It is the perfect combination of crisp waffle, soft chewy rice cake, and sweet red bean. You’ll be back for more, I guarantee it.

Café Koco is located on 7955 Golf Rd Morton Grove, IL60053. I’m going to visit there on Tuesday because my cousin said it was a great place to try. I just visited Café Koco after school on December 16, on a tuesday. I bought a taro smoothie, bulgogi triangle rice ball, and ramen from that place. The smell of the ramen was so unbearable to eat. I gotta say i’m a big ramen fan, and I would literally eat as much ramen as I can, but I know eating too much of it is bad for you. The taro smoothie was so delicious and I can’t stop getting other smoothie either then taro. I tried many taro for the past year and I got to say this is one of the best. The triangle rice ball was also good, where there is a chunk of rice in the inside, with other condiment and spices(depending on which type you get), and seaweed that you have to roll up with, This four and a half star café is one of the best because for one thing, it’s closer to my house and I have no time walking to a further café. The inside of the café is pretty clean, the barista is always ready to take someone order, and waiting does not take long when you order bunch. The air is so clean and fresh once you walk in, I really like it when there is no customer in the café because I don’t like hearing other people hear me talk to the barista The price is just right, if you’re getting either a beverage or a quick bite. The smoothie, milk tea, triangle rice ball, and waffle bread snack are all under 2 – 8 dollars. And of course they charge you extra if you want tapioca in your smoothie. \

I have been here a bunch of times and this place is super consistent and tasty. The proprietor is the former owner of Koco Table in Evanston which I used to frequent often before ownership changed hands. He did an excellent job there and is continuing to put out a quality product at this location. I have had a variety of the teas and everything has been on point. I also had bing soo one evening and that was nice as well. I haven’t tried any of the other food options yet, but the menu has been evolving so I will be sure to try more on a future visit.

I came here with two other friends and ordered green tea ice flake to share and we loved it! The sweetness was perfect and it had a clean aftertaste. It also came with one whole green tea mochi ice cream on top(which I’ve never seen before) and the flakes were finely blended making it more flavorful. The service was great and it had a nice cozy ambience. I will definitely be back!

My friends and I were in the area & heard about this new place. I got the honey milk tea with honey boba. My friends got the coffee w/honey boba and strawberry peach bubble tea w/honey boba. Out of all the three, I think mine was the best. The coffee and strawberry was a bit too sweet for my taste. The honey boba was delicious though. Not too sweet. I also love the prices here. It’s not overpriced at all. I think a drink was about $ 3.50 which is great. Next time, I will try something else and see how I like it!

Really good smoothies and tea. I would definitely recommend this place over any place in the area. Uses fresh fruit and have honey boba which is pretty unique. 10⁄10 would go here again.

Wow I just went here for the first time so I’ll keep it at 4 for now until I return, which I definitely will, to try the other things on the menu. First of all, I love the fact that it is located by San Soo Gab San because we are always looking for a dessert place after we get some Korean barbecue with family and friends. So we usually head to the Caffe Bene and Tous Les Jours plaza on Milwaukee. Now Café Koco is here. Props to the owners on a brilliant location. It is a small place with only a few tables. The service was great, prompt and friendly. I ordered the honey milk tea with boba and a onigirazu with bulgogi and kimchi. The boba was a bit too hard/chewy but the milk tea was very good. I usually don’t like Korean places that serve milk tea except a handful of places. But this place got it right. Maybe I don’t have enough experience opening an onigirazu wrapper but I tried to take it off and the seaweed on the sides stayed in the wrapper. Boo. But nevertheless the inside was what matters. The kimchi and bulgogi were really tasty. They made it to order too so it was warmed up! With this kind of filling though of course it was slowly falling apart as I ate it so the rice wasn’t sticky enough to stay put. Oh! A big plus is it didn’t cost like $ 4+ for a milk tea like some other fancy Korean cafes did. Thank you for that! I will be back.

The honey boba tea was great! The sweetness was just right and the tapioca was sweet and chewy. Compared to other boba cafes, this place offered the best prices. The best part was that the tea was 100% natural brew! It was only 3.49 for honey boba with tapioca and I also got the triangle rice balls with my friends for 2.50 each. We got three flavors: Curry Chicken, Tuna mayo, and Bulgogi Kimchi. They were warm, freshly made, and delicious! My favorite was Curry Chicken. The owner was friendly and the interior was nice. Definitely coming here again to try other stuff. Being a student on a pow budget. I recommend this place to anyone who is looking to grab a quick snack. Anyways. They just changed their menu. It has much more stuff like the waffle bread and the waffle rice cake bread! How awesome!

*Cries of Joy To start off, this place is fabulous. I’ve been waiting for a café serving milk teas and smoothies near my house(Kind of annoying going to Evanston) but I used to. Then I came here. I think this opened today? Not sure, but I ordered one of the Milk Teas for only around 4 dollars! That is so cheap compared to other places with similar foods. This place goes like 2 – 3 dollars under most cafes like Kung Fu and Joyyee down in evanston. I’m liking this place… very…

New bubble tea spot on the Morton Grove /Niles border. I ordered a Thai milk tea with honey boba. The sweetness was just right and the honey tapioca was tasty. Also had a Kim bap triangle, which I also enjoyed. The place was on the smaller side with only a handful of tables.

I’m so happy a new café has opened up in Morton Grove serving my favorite beverage, bubble tea! The café is very small but clean. The menu is standard to most Korean cafes with the assortment of bubble teas, coffee, tea, and bingsu. They also serve onigiri(rice balls, or triangles in this case) that are filled with a variety of ingredients like bulgoki with kimchi. I will definitely be back! The staff is friendly, milk tea was excellent, and will need to try more onigiri triangles.
